Mine ~ Leo 💙

It was almost time to close up the restaurant. I worked at a busy pizza place part-time to save up money while going to school full time. The customers were nice and rarely ever complained, but there was one coworker I really didn't like. Andrew was a self absorbed, know it all, jerk. He flirted with every customer that came into the store, and when there wasn't any customers, he flirted with me. I hated closing up the restaurant with him because it would be almost non-stop flirting until I left for the night. I had about another 15 minutes before we were officially closed and there were still a few customers finishing up their late night pizza.

I pulled out my phone and texted my boyfriend, Leo. We had been together for over a year now and things were going great. He was kind, loyal, protective, and also a giant green turtle who lived in the sewers of New York. He and his brothers saved me one day on my way home from work and the rest is history.

"Almost done with my shift, meet at my place for some popcorn and a movie?" I texted boyfriend as the last few customers leave for the night. "Of course, do you want me to walk you home from work?" Leo replies. I know he means watch me from the roof tops as I walk home, but that sounds creepier than just walk me home. I reply, "No, that's okay, I can just meet you at my place." Leo would have to go past my home to get to the restaurant and that would just be a waste of time.

I slip my phone into my pocket and go to wipe down the empty tables and lock up as Andrew takes the trash out. I gather my stuff and feel my phone vibrate. I take it out and see Leo gave me a thumbs up on the last message I sent. I smile at my phone and go to put it back in my pocket as I feel somebody grab it out of my hands. "Hey! Give me my phone back!" I yell at Andrew as he grabs it and holds it over his head. "Are you texting your made up boyfriend? You know I've never seen him come into the restaurant, you'd think if he loved you he'd visit every once in awhile," Andrew says mockingly. I roll my eyes and put my hands on my hips. "Like I've said a million times before, he lives across the country, now give me my phone back please," I say calmly. Andrew smirks at me, "come get it," he says while holding it above his head. I'm about 5'5 and Andrew was about 6', so there was no reaching it without me getting close. I take a step towards him and reach up as he reaches around me and pulls me against his chest by my waist. I immediately push away from him, but he has a tight grip on me. "Let me go!" I yell and try and push away and reach for my phone at the same time. "Just admit you made up your boyfriend to make me jealous and make me want you more. You know we would look good together," he says while tightening his grip on me and leaning closer to my face. Before I have the chance to say anything the store phone rings. We both freeze and stare at the phone for a second before I reach up and snatch my phone from his hand and finally push him away. As I turn to go answer the phone he smacks my ass as I walk away. I pause for a moment and turn around quickly and slap him in the face, "don't ever touch me again," I say sternly. He just rubs his cheek and backs away from me.

On the 10th ring I pick up the phone and before I can tell the person on the other end we are closed I hear, "put him on the phone, now." The voice is deep and stern, but also unusually calm. I immediately know who it is. "Leo I'm fine, I handled it. I am leaving work now and will see you at my apartment in 10 minutes," I say quickly and hang up the phone. I love Leo and I know he means well, but I can handle myself. I don't need him fighting my battles for me. The phone immediately rings again. I look around the restaurant and see that it's empty. Andrew must have left for the night. I walk away from the ringing phone and shut the lights off before locking the door on my way out.

The air is cool as I step outside and start my walk home. About 5 minutes later the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I look behind me to see somebody in a black hoodie. "It could be anybody just walking home, don't freak yourself out," I say to myself as I turn and pick up the pace. I hear the mans steps behind me pick up speed and I turn to see they are closer. I'm one block away from my apartment and start to almost run before the person grabs me from behind and puts their hand over my mouth and pulls me into the alleyway. The person pins me against the brick wall and keeps their hand over my mouth and pulls back their hoodie. Andrew. I mumble into his mouth before I feel a poke on my stomach and look down to see a knife pointed at me. "I think you owe me an apology for slapping me," he says with a big smile on his face. "How about we go up to your apartment and you show me how sorry you are," he says while pressing the knife a little deeper into my stomach causing it to puncture the skin. I hiss in pain and before Andrew can tell me to move, a black bag is thrown over his head and he is pulled to the side and thrown against the brick wall. Leo holds him up by his shirt, "get your fucking hands off my girlfriend. If you ever touch her again there will be consequences. Consider this your first and final warning." Leo is breathing hard, trying to control his rage. Andrew starts laughing, " you aren't going to do shit, plus she wants me." Leo takes a step back and drops him on the floor. "Raph, Mikey!" he yells as Andrew is then pulled up into the air and disappears on the rooftops.

I take a deep breath and put my hand over my shirt to see a little blood from were he poked me. I raise my eyes and look at Leo and see him staring at me. I see the anger in his eyes, but also concern. His eyes travel down to my stomach to where the blood is. "Donnie!" He yells while flicking his eye back to me. Donnie jumps down into the alleyway and comes over to me. "Are you okay? How deep is the cut?" He asks while going to move my shirt. I pull away, "I'm fine, it's not deep," while looking at Leo. "Take her to the lair, I'll be there soon," he says while jumping onto the nearby stairs that lead to the roof.

I'm sitting on Donnie's table in my bra as he examines the poke. It ended up being more of cut since Leo grabbed him and the knife moved with him. Donnie cleans up the cut and puts some medical glue on it to close it up and puts a bandage on it. "Keep it clean and I want to see it in a week to make sure it's healing," he says while cleaning up the table.

I hopped off the table and looked at the bandage, "what did they do to Andrew?" Donnie looks at me, "they probably dangled him over the rooftops and told him to stay away from you, probably scared the shit out of him knowing Raph," he says with a laugh. I give Donnie a smile and wished I could have seen the look on Andrew's face. I pause and ask Donnie, "how mad is he?" Donnie just looked at me and half smiles. "He's pissed," he says and walks away as you put your shirt back on. "But he is only mad because he loves you," I nod understanding.

"How did he know what happened in the store? He called," I ask. Donnie laughs and says, "he had me hack the cameras when you started working there to make sure you were safe." I rolled my eyes and hear a noise and look towards entrance. Leo has his arms crossed over his chest and is leaning against the door. "It was a good thing I had Donnie hack the cameras," he says coldly. He looks at me and nods his head for me to follow him.

I walk into Leo's room and he closes the door behind him. Before I have the chance to say anything, Leo walks towards me and grabs me by my throat and kisses me hard. I'm stunned at the sudden affection but immediately kiss him back. "What were you thinking?" He says in-between kisses. "He could have really hurt you or worse," he says letting go of my throat and caressing my check. "You scared me, I can't loose you," he says while picking me up and hugging me as I wrap my legs around him. I hug him back, "I'm sorry Leo, I thought I could handle him," I say, "but I'm glad you were there to save me." Leo pulls aways to look into my eyes, "I'll always be there to save you baby," and leans in for a small kiss.
