#2114 - which obx costar would you call in an emergency?

i don't think anyone does. most people think i started with percy, and then i toss my filmography at them! sometimes i think i should just carry a list around with me. i think my favorite film will always be perks of being a wallflower. like it was such a hard subject to film, but when i got and read the script, i knew i had to be apart of it. i dont really have a least favorite, but fury was such an exhausting and uncomfortable piece to film. that was my own fault though. so does that still count?

considering how big and iconic percy jackson ended up being, that really doesn't surprise me. ah fuck, i forgot about the perks of being a wallflower. definitely on the top ten list of most important teen movies, i think. what was so uncomfortable about filming fury? if you don't mind talking about it, of course.

i'm going to be so real with you here, because none of us are exactly born with these kinds of talents. we spend a huge part of our trainee years learning the arts of acting, dancing and especially singing. no, but i actually grew up wanting to become a priest. i picked up singing in school and eventually enrolled in a performing arts school. what about you? how did you get into acting?

appreciate the honesty. how long does one have to be a trainee? is there a set timeline for it? i’m kind of amazed you went from priest to singer — that’s quite the switch up. seems to have worked in your favor though. i joined a drama class during my freshman year of high school and the love for acting grew from there.

as they say: better late than never. oh, it was an experience like no other. couldn't have ask for better, if I tried. and of course, jack was an absolute riot. it's been a while since I laughed that hard. so I can definitely understand where your intrigue comes from. without hesitation or doubt.

sounds like i’ll have to find a way to watch the uk episodes, if only for yours and jack’s episode. what are you up to in terms of work lately? give me all the updates.

nah, that's not lame. you knew what you wanted and you went for it. props, man. i appreciate it. pretty glad i took that jump and managed to make it in hollywood. enough of the career talk though - how have you been?

there's still time. they could cast you in a live action or something. i'll drop some hints. i hope netflix is at least going all out for you guys once the premiere comes for outer banks. it was so much fun. didn't get to spend a whole lot of time there but all you really need is to see the castle, have a mickey ice cream, and ride a few rides and it's time well spent.

shit, i forgot about the live action movies. drop some hints and i'll be forever grateful. i hope so too but guess we'll have to wait and see. either way, i'm just glad we're getting one last get together in before we all go our own ways. you're pretty right about that. only thing you forgot to mention was the dole whip.

i feel like we're all on that same guillermo del toro train since everything he does is exquisite, and i'm still pinching myself to have worked with him on a project, let alone his dream one. thank so you much, love, and that makes my aspiring scream queen heart so happy to hear. is there another project that meant a lot to you, that i should watch before anything else? i'll be in odyssey, which still can't believe i can say that, but i hope you're planning on watching!

he really is one of the best creators of our time. you and the entire cast killed it. what are you working on now? i'm all ears so please, spill. i have a show coming out called lucky that i really loved filming but there's still a couple months until that drops so i say go watch everything else and then circle back around to that when it's out. your old co-star, anya taylor-joy, is in it too so double hit. you're in the odyssey too? amazing. talk about a stacked cast. that said, you know i'll be watching.

You were a fantastic roommate, actually. I was slightly nervous when I found out I’d be rooming with a man because I’m deeply anti-mess, but you were weirdly civilized. I’d absolutely room with you again. And would you believe me if I said I somehow never even made it to the spa? I kept thinking 'okay, I’ll go tomorrow,' but then there was wine tasting, dinners, wandering around, talking to people, and suddenly the trip was over.

as someone that's also anti-mess, i'm glad to have been paired with you. made for quite the calm, clean weekend. alright but wine tastings and dinners and visiting friends is absolutely worth skipping the spa for. i mean, you can always visit a spa in any city, but when else are you going to see all your friends in one place and get a weekend away in napa, you know? shame it wasn't a longer trip. what are you up to now that it's over?

I guess I've just gotta work harder, nobody wants their best movie to be over 2 decades old, right? Unless they're, like, Dick Van Dyke and a century old. Yeah, you've gotta have good onscreen chemistry to make it convincing, and sometimes that chemistry translates totally offscreen, too. Or sometimes you've just got a new best friend who you have to kiss on screen. It's a tough job.

i don't think there's anything wrong with that. everyone loves a classic. it's a fun job getting paid to kiss your best friend. so, how's the love life going these days? any new love interests off screen?

Who would of thought that I would be the one dressing up all fancy and shit? It was good that we got to see each other again. It'd been way too long so lets not do that again, yeah? Can't believe that I got bumped down to second, though. I'm going to cry into my pillow tonight and Kels is going to wonder what's wrong. We're just relaxing - enjoying a little bit of the slow life. Sophie? She's the one who's playing Lara Croft, right? Congrats, dude. Whenever you're ready - I'm looking forward to meeting her.

fancy man. i'm holding you to this - we're not going more than a month of not seeing each other this time, i'm determined. i'll make sure to give kelsea a heads up about the whiplash of emotions that she's about to deal with. no regrets though. the slow life is the good life, man. are you two taking vacations or just chilling at home these days? yeah, that's her. whenever we're all in the same city, we'll make it happen. you can bring kels too. make it a little double date or something.
