The lost Seawing princess herself, Tsunami! She’s the ultimate bodyguard and will defend her siblings (the other dragonets) with her life. While still bossy and sometimes cocky, Tsunami is fiercely loyal to those she calls friends and family.

In this au, Tsunami learns of her heritage much sooner and actually gets to learn aquatic as part of her education growing up. Webs didn’t want to reveal anything to her, but having two siblings who could read minds and foresee the future really helped. Plus, she did have Hvitur and Asha as backup, so Webs was basically forced to reach Tsunami aquatic.

I’m unsure how I’m going have the events of the first book play out exactly, but I do have it to where Tsunami wasn’t forced to kill Gill. (It was a close call however). They were able to get him the help he needed, and Gill does make a recovery and plays a part in the story.

I hope he doesn’t look too dull or dark, I like to think Icewings who were raised away from the ice kingdom and all the snow and ice tend to be a bit more vibrant in color.

Cryo’s egg was retrieved by Hvitur, from Queen Galcier (who is also the sister to Hvitur in this au). The “brave the cold” part, has a bit of a double meaning. There was a snowstorm happening when he went to get the egg, but the hardest part was facing his sister, the Icewing Queen, and convincing her to let him take her egg that was due to hatch on the brightest night for the prophecy.

“An egg shimmering with color, will give you wings of rain.”

Hopefully her colors turned out good, took way too long to decide what shade of purple to use.

Being an actual part of the prophecy in this au, Glory does have a little higher self esteem then in cannon, but is still rather grouchy (just for different reasons). She still becomes Queen of the RainWings, when Queen Grandeur steps down to let her once lost granddaughter take the throne peacefully.

RainWings are very different in the au, however still do not take an active part of the war, Queen Grandeur focuses more on protective her kingdom and citizens from conflicts that stray too close to the rainforest. This of course dose change as the story progresses.

Asha and Hvitur make sure that Glory, and the other dragonets, get time in the sun as they were growing up so Glory discovers her venom a lot sooner.

Here’s Finch, the Skywing Dragonet of Destiny in my au! I really like how his colors turned out this time. Finch uses he/they pronouns btw.

You would think being the Skywing from the prophecy, that Kestrel would favor them over the other dragonets. And it was like that for the first few years of Finch’s life, but once his more gentle and empathetic personality started to show Kestrel started to be more harsh and strict with him. Pushed Finch to train harder, lecture him on how Skywings are “supposed to act”, ect. As time went on, it became clear that she resented Finch, never seeing him as good enough.

The other dragonets would always be there to support Finch, they help encourage them to just be themselves and don’t listen to Kestrel, and defended him against her. Asha Definitely body slammed Kestrel when she saw Kestrel had made Finch bleed during a training session one time. After that incident, Kestrel was never the one who trained Finch anymore.

“Wings of night shall come to you”

Here’s Starflight, the second youngest of the Dragonets of Destiny. Poor Starflight feels the weight of the world on his shoulders, and is often lost in thought, trying to decipher the visions that flood his mind. Often feels  solely responsible for the prophecy and drowning in worry, needs a gentle reminder from one of the other dragonets that he’s not alone and they’re all in this together.

Starflight, and Sunny, finding a proper seer and mind reader teacher once they reach the Night Kingdom is a plot point that’ll come up.

Also I like to think that nightwing dragonets that hatch under full moons often have more vibrant colors then those who hatch under no or non full moons. So someone like Starflight here, whose hatched under three full moons, is a bit of an oddity with his colorful scales.

The youngest of the dragonets of destiny and the wings of sand, Sunny!

In this au all of the dragonets are hatched under the three moons during the brightest night, granting Sunny and Starflight mind reading and seer powers stronger the the average nightwing. Her and Starflight are close, but it’s more of a twin sibling relationship. If the dragonets of destiny were a dnd party, Sunny would be the bard for sure. She’s more outspoken and is taken more seriously by the other dragonets form the start.

The Rainwings are ruled by Queen Grandeur in the hidden Rainforest Kingdom. Grandeur has successfully avoided her tribe being directly involved in the Sandwing Succession War. Despite Princess Blister’s attempts to convince the more experienced queen to join her side.

While not the fastest flyers, most rainwings can easily out maneuver most opponents. While their diet does consist of mostly fruits and vegetables, they do occasionally consume prey. Their scales can change to any color or color pattern. A trained Rainwing can seemingly disappear into then air with their camouflage scales. Most prefer to have their scales be bright like birds of paradise and all rainwings have a ‘default’ color scheme. Common eye colors are green and blue, or other bright eyes colors.
