Let's not forget the amount of detachment she had during her campaign. She never felt like she was there in the moment, it never felt like she actually cared about the people she was supposed to represent. It all felt hollow. It was palpable, but, you know, we "had to" vote for her because we didn't have a primary for the democratic party for a better candidate, and that's where I think the vote entitlement came from. The thing that really tipped it off for me was something small; The "phone call" she had with a voter where it was just her talking to her camera app, and you could tell because she literally waved the screen at the press during the call. The deployed troops commentary she gave also told me she didn't know what the fuck was going on in the country or in world politics. The US's defense spending and the amount of troops we have deployed to military bases to bolster the defenses of our allies in NATO isn't nothing, girl. People pick up on the small things. They recognize patterns. And what Kamala showed was that she was not a good presidential nominee in the first place. There should have been a proper primary election for the Democratic party so we could have someone who actually gave a shit about the people they're supposed to be governing to vote for, not someone who thought the people would vote for her no matter what. You can't be lax with your campaign, that just shows you'll be lax with the job the people elected you for. Start caring, show up, pay attention. The Ukraine war is still ongoing, the British navy was in such disrepair that it let two enemy Russian oil tankers through British waters with no resistance-- people forget that this world isn't a fucking playground where we can all hold hands and sing Kumbaya together. I've literally seen some assholes on this site post "death to america" and that "america should be bombed" on this site literally a week after the "american peoples are literally so nice" posts were going around. Someone, somewhere, wants us dead. The world won't wait for us to get our act together. Find a strong candidate to back and don't settle for the primaries being skipped this time. (Also, anyone remember what happened to Bernie during the 2016 election, where he had a bunch of hype behind him but the media only covered Hillary, so she ended up being the only viable candidate? ... Not quite the same as an entire primary being skipped, but it feels like someone somewhere is pulling strings.)
