I've read a bit about it but I wish there was more discussion of how the media during the 2000's and today amped up this image of the "mean girl" who wreaks havoc in the school with her wiles and her nastiness and how there were so many articles about it and so many movies and it was just everywhere and I felt like I've heard lines like "guys fight face to face and then they're friends again, girls are sneaky and cruel and will ruin your life" everywhere. Meanwhile ignoring how teenage boys were shooting up schools, assaulting and harassing girls as well as general bullying. As always it's that patriarchal concept of "women are even worse than men despite all evidence because they're mysterious and thus worse without any evidence".
The standard remark is "oh, boys are physically aggressive but girls are socially aggressive."
No, boys are socially aggressive and physically aggressive.
