Rhae's daughter(I know there are many fics where this is a case and I ain't stopping bc the dynamic is too juicy idc) being cold and calculating and being call the ice dragon, or she-dragon, or the young dragon (shout out to robb stark) and after everything happens rhae takes gwayne and daeron hostage and has gwayne as the daughter's sworn shield and they grow closer and closer, even though the daughter is down right evil to him 😭 (gwayne supports women's rights AND women's wrongs IKTR)

i need every all all fanfic recommendation surrounding ormund, gwayne, and daerons dynamic. slice of life, modern au, getting baby!daeron and seeing how those two try to raise him as young men, KING!DAERON AU, etc.
i see the vision with rhae’s daughter but with how she basically starts having kids at 17 and in succession, i find it a little clunky imagining her with a daughter who’s somehow older than jace (or at least an adult). i think that dynamic would work with a close relative (like a sister or cousin) and you could make her as old as you want or as young as 18.
personally, i go wild for arranged marriage fics. i like them soft for the mmc and tumultuous for the fmc (like he’s completely taken with her but she’s suspicious and waiting for the ball to drop and be a cruel husband) but I could totally get behind a love-hate relationship between ormund and his wife. families are okay-ish allies, married the kids off young, now they have to be real adults and start a family while working out their issues. 10/10 a classic.
i also love forbidden love esp when it’s the male love interest falling for a woman he can’t have, bonus if it’s bc she is (or was) married and she has children. i think a fmc placed in a story with both gwayne and ormund would be compelling like she’s married to one of them with kids (and it’s a relatively good marriage) but she slowly starts to fall in love with the other. and it’s all tender and soft but a little dark at times. yk, smg that reads like a deep dive into the human psyche.
Headcanon that Daeron used to call Ormund “Uncle Ormund” before Ormund made him call him “sire” And while Daeron was still getting used to it, he’d accidentally call him “uncle,” especially when he was panicking or losing his shit, and Ormund would immediately scold and correct him while secretly loving that Daeron still called him uncle.
Meanwhile Gwayne is jealous as hell that Ormund got the uncle title and he didn’t . Daeron has called him just GWAYNE since he was little, and Gwayne definitely tried the whole “it’s UNCLE Gwayne” thing for a while, but eventually gave up. Then he realized whenever Daeron actually calls him Uncle, it probably means Daeron wants something from him 🥺

- yes the writing and the characterization were gonna suck, but i at least had hopes for the battle 😃 🔪
- wtf is daemon doing there. like genuinely wtf. get his ass out of there!!!! i cannot believe we only got gwayne being thrown around, two minutes of ormund fighting, and daeron still not riding tessie just for a 30 min exhibition of daemons battle prowess. FUCK OFF HES NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE!!!
- second, where do i even begin with the child soldiers? like yes, ormund is evil and kills puppies and steals christmas even tho in the books he’s apparently very merciful and honorable in battle and towards innocents we get it , MOVE ON ALREADY
- next, why would someone as meticulous as ormund lose his trump card within 12 hrs of a battle? he would’ve had him sleeping in the room next to him just to make sure his ass was ready!!
- the scent sensitivity…it was fun when it was to show how bougie he is. it’s not fun as an actual disability preventing him from fighting. also the scent of blood bothers him????? are these writers fucked in the head?? blood is slightly metallic…HIS ENTIRE ARMOR IS METALLIC 🤬🤬🤬 why would that scent bother himmmmm
- then there’s the way he died. i have no words. it’s giving hate crime, rape fetish, overall degenerate behavior from the writers. i mean ig alicent wasn’t in the episode long enough to be SA’ed again so someone else from her family had to be sexually degraded ??
- i hope daeron gets on his dragon and kills everyone next season. and that he and gwayne live happily ever after.
