[Eng Subs DL] Musical Yuukoku no Moriarty (Moriarty the Patriot) Op. 5 - "The Final Problem"
Hello, hello~! I am happy to finally share with you the finished English subtitles for MoriMyu Op. 5~
It took a lot longer for me to finish than I'd like to admit, but it is here, it is finished~ \(≧▽≦)/ Op. 5 covers chapters 48-56 (+67) of the manga or the last few episodes of the anime for those who followed along with that as well. As the title suggests, it is the penultimate of Sherlock and William's story. We've gone through a lot with them in so many forms, and I'm so glad that the musical gave us such a beautiful rendition of the story. I do believe it will make you cry as well!
Anyway, enough rambling from me. I will be updating the folder with the bonus content subs along the way, but just for extra measure, I'll reblog the original post when they're all up~!

[ENG Soft Subs DL] Musical "Moriarty the Patriot" Op.2 "A Scandal in the British Empire" ~Reprise~
Hi, hi~! I'm happy to finally be able to share the finished softsubs for MoriMyu Op.2 Reprise~!
There are, of course, subtle differences with the flow, direction, tune, and other aspects from the original Op.2, but it's still the same story, overall. There are new songs added, and there were some songs omitted/changed, but the charm and beauty of it all remains memorable and enjoyable! New Sherlock and William song?👀Well, sign me up for some more, will you~? \(^▽^)/
In any case, I know there are some who got into MoriMyu from Reprise, and I just want to say, I hope you have fun with the fandom and that you enjoy and experience the content you see the way you want to experience them~ ^^ That said, I hope everyone has fun with this musical as well~!
Oh, speaking of which, MoriCon backstage has also been uploaded on the WordPress masterpost below! Please check them out when you can~

Sherliam-shaped ramble incoming 🥴🥺
Rewatched Morimyu op. 3 for the millionth time and can’t stop thinking about Albert’s words to William about leaving the real Jack The Ripper culprits’ bodies there for Sherlock to find, and how much trust William had in this man despite only having met him a handful of times.
Like he really said ‘you and I are on the same wavelength to the point that I trust you not to fuck up this whole scheme to unite the current discord in London between Whitechapel and the Yard without even exchanging an actual word with you on the subject.’
He must have really felt so … vindicated to have found someone who could take one look at his actions and piece together his real motivations behind his criminal acts. Sherlock quickly paints the Lord of Crime as a ‘Robin Hood’ figure who’s seeking to rebalance their world, and although he can’t forgive the law-breaking methods employed by Liam, he recognises that Liam took on that role and condemned himself for the sake of the common people.
William found someone who could identify the real heart of him, and then he trusted that person with his life — to carry out the real justice to balance out his wrong-doings.
You know, the more I think about it, the more it hurts and the more I love Sherlock. I think for William, the answer to Sherlock’s ‘why me?’ (Why not a perfect actor instead?) is that an actor might see William’s acts but not really understand them in the way Sherlock does, or care to, and that is incredibly important to William.
William knew he had to die because what he was doing was passing judgement in a way he shouldn’t really be allowed to do, in a fair and righteous world, but he has to do it that way in order to make an impact and affect change. But at least let the person who ends his life truly understand why they’re doing it — not because William is rotten and hateful at his core, but actually, filled with love and compassion for others, so much so that he’s willing to become the villain for everyone else’s sake.
I believe it was the last comfort he could hope for — to have his act, his show, his existence brought to an end by an individual who would not hate him or misunderstand him as they ‘pull the trigger.’
He called Sherlock ‘the real devil!’ angrily in their final (and only) fight on the bridge because Sherlock hesitated, and William’s hard-wired view of his own guilt pushed him to think that Sherlock’s moral compass might suddenly be off, and he lacked the conviction to condemn William to death as William believed should be the just and moral end to his plan.
But then he realises that actually, it’s not that Sherlock is weak hearted and unwilling to follow through with the path of justice. What William has underestimated is Sherlock’s own depth of compassion — but compassion for him, specifically. In all his planning, even in his joy at finding Sherlock — a man who would understand his goal and dream and what it might take to bring it to fruition — William had failed to account for the possibility that someone might be moved enough by his sacrifice to want to save him.
The idea that he is as deserving of love as everyone else is not a thought he’s allowed himself to entertain, and he steels his resolve and decides that he will jump himself if Sherlock cannot do it.
But this idea that Liam is an individual hugely deserving of love has been at the forefront of Sherlock’s mind for a long, long time before they faced off on that bridge.
Sherlock sees the role William has taken on — completely by himself. He understands the lonely truth of William’s compassionate and self sacrificing nature beneath the facade, and to this he says, I’m here, I am your friend, and I won’t let you do this by yourself anymore. I won’t let you fall alone.
They are just. Everything. The love is like a physical weight on my chest, I cannot. 😭
The way Sakura laughed and the WHOLE CLASS stopped talking and stared at him in amazement???
And then how they started fucking around twice as much to make him laugh even more???????
That shit is straight out of a fanfiction and I’m SO here for it.

Something I’ve come to love about Sakura Haruka as a character is that despite everything, he has never given up—not on humanity, and certainly not on himself.
In Chapter 203, Sakura’s dissociative tendencies are elucidated; since he had no healthy outlet for his negative emotions, he wallows in them while simultaneously distancing himself not only from his feelings but also from humanity and other people as a whole. If nobody can perceive him in the darkness, if he can’t perceive himself, then these feelings will simply fade away right? But the sun still rises, reminding Sakura of his own horrid personal life. The world still spins despite the hell Sakura is personally in.
Despite all that, Sakura still had a smidgen of hope that he would be accepted. No matter how much one is isolated from society, humans still crave connection and security. We are social creatures, after all.
When Sakura does cling to his last shred of connection, he’s immediately rejected by his own father. Notably, Little Sakura is staring more so at the sky rather than at Daddy Sakura, reinforcing his dissociative tendencies. When he’s faced with an uncomfortable truth, Sakura can’t help but slink back into that darkness. Emotions only remind him of his place in life; emotions only make him weaker. They shouldn’t exist, because they only cause him pain. And if his own father thinks he’s a monster, then Sakura is an anomaly in an orderly society.
All his repressed emotions eventually spill over—Sakura snaps, and lets the new emotion called anger fester in him. This ironically causes him to be ostracized even more due to his delinquent-like behavior. It indirectly reaffirms his belief that his emotions shouldn’t exist, but Sakura embraces it with pride. He learns that by channeling his rage through a fight, by making people scared of him, that he can be free.
It is a twisted parallel to Shishitoren’s core principle; Choji believes that strength is freedom because being at the top not only lets you do whatever you want (which is fun), but it also gives you the liberty to protect those you care about. Sakura follows a similar line of thinking, but he sees freedom as solitude instead. For the first time in his life, Sakura can finally be free from jeers and mistreatment, because being at the top means being alone. (Sakura eventually learns that to be strong is to protect those he cares about in the end though.)
Conversely, you could interpret Sakura’s rage as his will to fight for himself. For someone who’s disassociated from his emotions for so long, the fact that he decided to stand up for himself shows that Sakura thinks he himself is worth fighting for. He lets himself feel rage even though it’s channeled through a medium like fighting. He stands up for himself and fights back, even though it doesn’t come from a desire to take care of himself; since Sakura believes that he doesn’t belong anywhere, he might as well do whatever he wants. His looks don’t matter in a fight, because one should fear for their safety more—but Sakura doesn’t care.
Sakura doesn’t resort to total delinquency to cope though. He only picks fights with wrongdoers and other delinquents who cause trouble. He helps others, even if it means he’ll get rejected. Because Sakura is a kind person who still instinctually believes in other people.
And the fact that Sakura so readily accepts people, how he secretly yearned to be accepted himself, the growth he’s experienced up to this point, shows that he’d absolutely never give up on the aspects that make him Sakura Haruka. Even if he’s isolated himself from humanity or his own emotions, Sakura was always willing to rekindle both.
the way that sakura "preferred" it when others rejected him, because at least it was familiar, at least he knew how to handle it. but being treated kindly was like fumbling in the dark with no hand holds, something he didnt know how to navigate, and underneath it all, something that he felt he didnt deserve. but no matter how much he tried, he could never truly smother the part of himself that ached for the acceptance of others. and under the care of furin high, it was allowed to blossom.

20251024 | Xdinary Heroes - ICU Xdinary Heroes 7th MINI ALBUM [LXVE to DEATH]
WBK detail - Sakura's popularity
In a previous post, I mentioned how Sakura is very shy, down to earth, low-key and doesn't intentionally bring attention to himself. He doesn't cause trouble, but does jump into trouble if the peace is threatened.
As low-key as Sakura is, it's brilliant how Nii-sensei builds up the fact that despite Sakura is on the quiet side minding his own business, thinking that he isn't doing anything particularly special, everyone else definitely is taking notice of his achievements. After all, Furin and Makochi is a very tight-knit community, and gossip and words travel REALLY quickly.
Starting off, there was some word spread that there was a new student enrolling out of town and is in class 1-1. usually that's not a big deal, but this student already protected the town the day BEFORE classes started. Even Suo, looking down at the class roster, knew that SAKURA was the new kid.
After the Shishitoren fight, word spread like wildfire amongst the first years of how he was involved in, and WON against Togame.
Even the the second years heard the rumors that the new kid, SAKURA had won against Togame, Shishitoren's second-in-command.
We didn't find out until the war arc, but the 4 kings already knew of Sakura long before he met them on-screen. They were of course wary of him - an outsider - but quickly warmed up to him after he did so much in helping protect the town as a Furin student.
Its not just once or twice, but off-screen, the characters talk about Sakura A LOT. The 4 kings talk about everything, including Sakura, Ume and Kotoha talk about him, even Togame talks about him to the team -- while Sakura is completely unaware :'D
Which brings us to Umemiya pointing out to the oblivious Sakura that he is actually pretty popular, even amongst the other first years!
From the other first-year perspective, Sakura's accomplishments include:
just moved to the town and started high school - a first year just like them
distinctive appearance
within 3 days of starting school, fought alongside Umemiya, their LEADER and won against the VICE CAPTAIN of Shishitoren
within 1 week of starting school, fought against KEEL with the second year captains and won
is new to Furin, but was quickly elected Grade Captain
somehow got the attention of Endo, one of Furin's legends whom Umemiya had trouble with
Unlike the other first year teams that protected the town with their 2nd and 3rd year teams and captains and received orders from their 3rd year King, Sakura and his Class 1-1 were isolated and was in charge of their own bridge to protect without the aid of their senpais
If anything, their Class 1-1 bridge was the most vulnerable yet they were able to protect it flawlessly.
Not even that - Sakura and his class protected their bridge, but the group chat updates kept EVERYONE in the loop that Sakura's leadership protected their bridge, and he was heading back to town to protect the school
The first years monitoring the chat clearly saw the 4 King's updates that Sakura protected the bridge, was in town, was heading to the school, was at the school and FIGHTING ENDO.
Someone must have sent a text to the group announcing Sakura won against Endo, and thats why they were withdrawing from battle
Sakura was the one who posted that Umemiya won against Takiishi - the one text that signaled the end of the war and Furin's victory.
During the summer celebration, the first years must have seen Sakura hanging out with Umemiya and the other group leaders
Despite Sakura's humbleness and keeping a low-profile, his list of accomplishments is very large. He's the type that normally doesn't approach others, so I would think that unless there's a very bold first year from the other teams who would approach him first, he wouldn't go out of his way to say Hi first or make conversation. (He's a shy boy :DD).
After all, with that list of accomplishments, including being close to the 4 kings and recognized by Umemiya, and someone who bested 2 vice-captains, Sakura IS kind of a hot-shot and a bit hard for someone to approach :'DDD
I'm excited for future developments - Since Sakura is still aiming for the top, that means he has to get used to all this attention he earned, as well as being someone that is worthy of respect, and to accept other's respect of him, and how he's someone worth being looked up to!
