It's so funny to me that some variant of Invincible decided to burn Burger Mark down.
You just know our Mark hated it too.
Or maybe not? 🤔 could be some angsty story about how Mark's boss in some universe was much worse than ours......... maybe Mark went postal there in some universe? with powers?

i need to get off tumblr i’m at the aquarium admiring the fish and my brain goes “posts that make you want to get in the water” what are you talking about. these are live fish in the room with you. what post.
I need you to share your queer headcanons for Invincible…NOW!
On it 🫡 id like to draw all of my main four couples together soon but the guy i REALLY wanna focus on today is Rex, who i headcanon as ace. just gimme a ton of your time and attention bc i feel like i have a lot of explaining to do 👻
Rex has always been a SUPER interesting character to me and i see him as being the type to crave closeness with someone (either platonically or romantically) but at the same time, not let them get too close out of fear they'll leave and only hurt him in the end.
Relationship with Eve:
His first relationship was with Eve, who he was with for 4 years. There was never any romantic feelings between them and their relationship was a very superficial one; sure they both found each other cute and all but in reality, they trauma-bonded over similar experiences with the GDA / shitty parents and found comfort in each other. Rex never dove too deep into what exactly he experienced and it took Eve a long time to fully admit what she went through; when things got a bit too real, Rex defaulted to joking around and figured out pretty quickly that he could make Eve laugh and clung to that like a lifeline. He made it a personal goal of his in a way to make her happy bc seeing her smile was Rex's silent way of making sure he was doing something right and wasn't scaring her off. Well, stupid jokes and flirty winks only got Rex so far.
Eve begins opening up about how she feels like her parents are hiding something huge from her and confides in Rex about how she'd always felt like an outcast in her own home for things she couldn't control. Rex tries joking around to lighten the mood and cuz he's not really sure what to do with all that, and Eve finally hits her limit. She breaks down completely, saying she's tired of everyone thinking she's "too much" and admits that she can't even trust her own boyfriend to take her seriously. Eve breaks up with Rex on the spot and they don't speak again for a while.
Relationship with Kate:
Now in his early 20s, Rex was needing a rebound and was privately sulking that he'd burnt the bridge between him and Eve. He sets his sights on Kate, who'd been flirty with him in the past but scared off by Eve, but now that there was nothing stopping them, he and Kate escalated their relationship quick.
His jokes didn't land the same on Kate as they did Eve; she found him funny, but Kate made it very clear that she wanted a purely physical relationship without any deep conversations or anything, the polar opposite of what he'd had with Eve. Rex thinks this is great bc late-night talks about trauma are completely off the table and it was much easier for him to mess around in the showers and call it a day.
The only thing with that though was Rex secretly didn't understand what was so great or revolutionary about sex. Kate seemed satisfied which was cool, but for himself? It was kinda whatever, a bit weird but it gave him someone to be close to without strings attached. Maybe Kate wasn't the right person.
Rex's fling with Kate lasts only a few months before she breaks things off with him to get with the Immortal, finding him more mature and relatable. Their "split" doesn't hurt Rex nearly as much as his with Eve did, but now he felt back to square one with finding someone he could be close to, but not too close.
Relationship with Rae:
After both nearly lose their lives during the Lizard League showdown, Rex ends up trauma-bonding with Rae and they have a genuine connection. Rex learned pretty early on that his dumb jokes don't work on Rae at all, usually earning a stone-faced, deadpan look, but also figures out that Rae prefers to keep her past on the down low for the most part and didn't seem like the type to want those discussions. After helping Rae move into her own apartment after quitting the Guardians, she and Rex begin a short fling; the same pattern happens again where Rex recognizes his body is keeping Rae happy, but that familiar, empty feeling sneaks up on him again and he figures that maybe Rae isn't the right person either.
Over their next couple encounters, Rae starts suspecting that something's up with Rex and is the one to end the sexual part of their relationship; Rex takes this as a rejection and starts overcompensating in the other direction with more jokes and starts cooking for her since every week they'd make dinner together. Rae catches on instantly and approaches him, asking if he's okay. She admits she didn't end their hookups bc Rex did anything wrong, rather, she felt there was something missing or not being addressed. Seeing the brief flash of panic on Rex's face, Rae continues and says that she genuinely enjoys having him around even without the sex, asking Rex if it was really removing sex from their relationship that freaked him out; Rex stays silent and Rae assumes he's about to fake an emergency and bolt.
Much to both of their surprises, Rex stays in his chair and struggles to find the right words for a minute before admitting that he really didn't feel anything from them. He thinks Rae and everyone he dated / had a crush on before was hot and all, but never really felt that drive towards anyone. Rae bluntly asks Rex if he's asexual and he starts clamming up and says he's never been into labels before going to refill his three-quarters full drink.
Post-Guardians:
After quitting the Guardians, becoming roommates with Mark, and starting classes at Upstate, Rex gets a lot more freedom to discover what he actually likes outside of blowing things up. Though he still retains some of his old habits like swearing and making jokes, it turns out that almost dying gives him a wake-up call and he learns to let his guard down more. He patches up his relationship with Eve, apologizing for being a dick to her when all she wanted was for someone to listen to her. Debbie, or "Ms. G" as he calls her, helps him get his GED and an internship at her real estate office as he goes to college for interior design. Through Mark and Rae, Rex is very quickly accepted into their group of 8 (Mark, Rae, Amber, William, Rick, Eve, and Caelum [an oc of mine]) and spends a majority of his free time with them. Thursday nights become dedicated to group karaoke where it's mainly just him, Amber, and William belting out off-key lyrics as the others watch, and Sunday afternoons are for him and Rae to chill together.
Somewhere along the way after spending more and more time with Mark, Rex starts catching feelings and only tells Rae although the others in their group (minus Mark) are completely aware. It finally clicks for Rex that he's totally cool with having a purely romantic partner and accepts that sex just isn't for him. He's ace and unlabeled attraction-wise.

keep in mind this is just a headcanon of mine and im not claiming it to be confirmed! thats part of the reason why i used my own rex variant to answer this 🖤🩶🤍💜

Hello there, I've had my eye on you hehe now we're following eachother i will break the barrier 😌💕
Not a question, sorry about that;
I read the first part of Indomitable a few days ago!!! Can I say that I love the design, and you're a very good writer btw<333 I actually did a sketch of Indomitable with my oc atomic and Invincible (still working on it.) >.<
I really liked drawing his hair, mark has absolutely no reason to look so fine but im here for it. 👀
wait HOLD UP this is so cute, you made my day thank you so much 😭💕 im so happy youre enjoying his story <3
How she got her powers is the same as in the comics, im purposely being vague just in case some haven't / don't plan on reading them.
By the time she meets the Guardians, Amanda's had her powers for quite some time and has used them a bit too much. As a result, she looks like a 3 year old but her monster form is gigantic and incredibly strong.
Another huge reason why she's so de-aged already is that she uses her titan form to intimidate people / when she's pissed. Amanda lets her anger get the best of her and while it feels great to deck someone in the face, all the transforming has clearly taken a toll.
For obvious reasons, Amanda doesn't get with Rudy in Indomitable nor does she have a partner.
Because of her appearance, many talk down to her and treat her like, well, a child. The nickname "Mandy" is a bothersome reminder of that as she sees it more as people babying her rather than taking her seriously.
To make up for her child-like appearance, Amanda has a much bolder and more brash exterior. She swears a lot, gives attitude, and doesn't sugar coat anything; ironically, the constant cursing makes her seem even more immature.
Absolutely hates being carried and will bite or punch anyone who attempts.
Her Titan Toddler form has thick, fireproof scales, rough skin, sharp claws, and mountains of muscles, making her one of the more useful and adaptable Guardians.
Rudolph "Rudy" Conners
Nickname(s): Rudy
Species: Human (born), Viltrumite (cloned)
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Additional Headcanons:
Again, Rudy's backstory up until the cloning storyline is the same as in the comics / show and I won't go into detail just in case.
Rather than going after Rex to get Amanda's attention (which i always thought was WEIRD and DUMB but moving on), Rudy instead thinks from a more tactile and advantageous standpoint. He and Cecilia are much closer in Indomitable, so he's one of the first besides Donald teleported in to see the mess Nolan left behind after murdering the original Guardians. Rudy offers to help with cleanup which Cecilia doesn't think twice about agreeing to since she has a whole new set of heroes to band together to save the world.
As Rudy's cleaning up the blood he uses microscopic tool to sample just enough of the tissue from the floor; he has no clue who's it is, but he needs this. Fast forward to when he makes shady deals with the Mauler Twins to grow him a new body and transfer his consciousness, it turns out Rudy hit the jackpot: he'd grabbed Nolan's DNA...dun dun dunnnn
Being that Viltrumites have so many biological advantages over humans, it takes Rudy a minute to get used to his new stolen body. He's extremely cautious about showing off his new form and it takes him months to show even Amanda, his closest friend (?); naturally she's horrified to see another Omni-Man walking around and tells Rudy to "put that thing away before Mark sees and flips his shit".
Another advantage Rudy sees is that now Earth has a Viltrumite that's 100% loyal and won't be turning on everyone for Viltrum...the obvious downside is that he can't publicly show his face without brows being raised at the minimum. Cecilia's just as torn; she hates seeing Nolan 2.0 wandering around her facilities, but Rudy is right to some extent - with Nolan off the grid, Mark too unreliable and worried about what other's think, and the new Guardians being a fucking catastrophe, she doesn't have a great defense if god forbid more Viltrumites happened to come to Earth. She's not exactly comfortable with this, and honestly fears what Mark would do should he find out, but has to accept it for the obvious advantage.
Mark does eventually find out and goes nuclear, quitting the Guardians mid-panic attack and ending his weird, distant friendship with Rudy and by extent, Amanda since she'd known for months at this point. He drills all the other Guardians (Rae, Kate, Shapesmith, Samson, and Immortal) and remains civil with them after learning that they were just as blindsided. Rudy tries to apologize and explain himself but it comes out more as "I'm sorry you feel that way, but Earth needed an actual strong, reliable Viltrumite" which makes everything worse.
Rudy wants nothing to do with the Viltrumite Empire or wars or anything related; he just happened to get lucky and steal some demigod's DNA and all he plans on doing is protecting Earth.
Kate & Paul Cha
Nickname(s): N/A
Species: Magically Enhanced Human
Gender(s): Female & Male
Age(s): Adult
Additional Headcanons:
The twins' backstory is the same as in the comics / show, no spoilers, etc etc
Despite the fact that both were taken in completely different directions, they miss each other deep down. Kate hates that her brother is a criminal and secretly fears she'll have to fight or kill him one day and vice versa.
Unlike in the show, Kate is actually good friends with Mark when they're on the Guardians together. They enjoy training with each other as both have strong martial arts backgrounds and even find themselves gossiping whenever they have down time or even mid-battle.
After Kate had almost been killed by the Lizard League, she felt like the only one who actually gave her a chance to explain herself was Mark; she felt like everyone else either judged her for "giving up that easily" or leaving for an easier life. After moving off the grid, Kate keeps in contact with him and sends him postcards here and there.
After leaving hero life for good, the first thing Kate does is go to therapy which she'd honestly needed for...decades. It helps and she even picks up a few hobbies like hiking, crochet, and even volunteers at a local elementary school.
Paul on the other hand is still in prison for his work with the Order and won't be seeing the outside world anytime soon (im so sorry i honestly couldn't think of anything for Paul 💔 he doesn't play any role in Indomitable so i never really wrote anything up for him)

OKAAAYYY sooooo I need to know what your opinion is on shipping Earth characters with the Viltrumites? I know sometimes people see it as "strange" cuz the Viltrumites are super old.
little break doodle in between studying for the ftce and starting classes again (end me🥰)
gonna be so honest i generally don't like any Nolan era!Viltrumite x human or Mark x Viltrumite ship, it's the age gap that skeeves me out bc i think too deep ab things. if any of you guys like em more power to you, im not trying to shame anyone :)
hypocritically, i actually kinda fw the idea of Art / Reformed!Conquest for funzies! i imagine Conquest would get to Earth w Nolan and consequently meet Art through him as well when trying to get a suit designed. like Nolan and Art, Conquest would find himself chatting w Art, completely whipped bc someone was actually listening and engaging him in conversation, at least seemed to care ab what he said. Conquest very quickly becomes possessive over Art and is usually seen hovering over him and glaring at anyone who Conquest feels looks at Art "too long"...thats his man get your own😾👊
