An addition for you to consider: stick dances. Depending on who you're dancing with. I've sticked so hard my forearms went numb before, so bludgeoning damage is definitely on the table.

My Border side is making a conscious effort to standardize their style this season and I was just thinking about the richness and diversity of technique for something as simple as a double-step. I know . . . 9 or 10 standardized double step variations at this point??? To say nothing of the kind we do on the Border side. Fiddly Minutiae Are My Passion. I love how spinny and swirly Fieldtown heys are. The circular motions bring joy to my soul. None of the other regional Cotswold styles my team dances are quite so round as Fieldtown.
