So, good news but also just news!
I finally have a job (soon) and will be starting on August 3rd! Finally having a chance to have some actual finances and not have to feel like a bum asking for commissions and not have my mom hounding me for being lazy.... However, it's a very social oriented job and might wear me out a lot at first. I will be part time and it's actually my first job that I had as a teenager rehiring me so I know I can do it, just, it's really social.
Funny to me is that while I joke about the customers loving and adoring me to the point I had a fan club.... I didn't know one of my coworkers was still there. Like this guy hasnt seen me in over a decade and I'm wearing a mask but I saw him and waved while he was on a phone call and he saw me and nodded. Finished his call. Said "(name), right?" and yeah bro that's me, so I said yes followed by his name and he looked at the table with a manilla folder and immediately said "please tell me you're coming back". Great o7 yes o7 I am, sir o7
So not only do I have a stellar rep with guests that lasted the past decade but also. I guess coworkers still like me. We take those confusing wins. (Also the entire reason I reapplied was that my first manager said she would ABSOLUTELY rehire me without hesitation. And guess so :u )
