Poppy, night vision: mutual understanding

Wither rose, wither: Fuck you, I hope you die painfully

Lily of the valley, poison: danger hidden in beauty. Meaning is situational, could be a “watch your back” or an “I’ll protect you whatever it takes”

Sunflower, no soup: loyalty and friendship

Cornflower, jump boost: joy

Tulips, weakness: depends on color

Red: a taunt “I think you’re weak”

Orange: trust “you could take advantage of my weakness, but I trust you won’t”

Pink: “you’re my weakness”

White: surrender

Oxeye Daisy, regeneration: healing, emotional and physical 

Dandelions, saturation: a widespread joy or call to celebrate, often seen at festivals

Blue orchids, saturation: hope

Allium, fire resistance: perseverance and determination

Open eye blossom, blindness: an apology “I realize my mistakes”

Golden dandelions, saturation: a proclamation of love, and will to stay with someone forever

It has come to my attention that tags hate me, so I’m moving some of the characters here along with adding a few more guys -_- screw the 30-tag limit

Jimmy Solidarity: Togedemaru, Wishiwashi, Pom Pom style Oricorio, Absol

Notes: all his Pokemon are from alola. This wasn’t intentional but ig it’s canon he’s from alola now. Absol just started following him one day and it offputs people (Absol predicts tragedy, Jimmy’s death predicts the beginning of the end)

Etho Slab: Greninja, Metagross, Mudbray, Hisuian Sneasel, Alolan ninetales, Ferrothorn

Notes: he min-maxxed the mudbray for fun. Used to be a gym leader (a challenging one at that) but retired and is now adventuring with two new Pokemon (Sneasel and Mudbray). Went back in time to hisui at some point but (smartly) chooses to pretend his adventures there were a dream or smth (does not question how Sneasel came back with him)

Mumbo Jumbo: Rotom, Klinklang, Heliolisk, Nosepass

Notes: nosepass cause it’s a compass for his mountaineering lol. Heliolisk feels right and I can’t really describe why. Something something vaguely gestures between sunlizard and hc8/hc11 bases

ZombieCleo: Banette, Garganacl, Leavanny, Hattena, Dusclops

Notes: hattena just off vibes idk. Thank you Hermitcraft recap for showing me how similar Cleo’s season 11 base is to a garganacl, I can’t unsee it (also finally, a pokemon as salty as her! Physically anyways, I think it’d be a sweetheart. Banette and Hattena are the mean ones)

BdoubleO100: Gogoat, Mudsdale, Leafeon, Torterra, Arboliva, Sudowoodo

Notes: grass type gym leader. And horse

Oli Orionsound: Ludicolo, Kricketune, Maractus, Chatot

Notes: traveling musician. Dreams to (like a lot of other musicians) play a song with meloetta

Rendog: Arcanine, Sirfetch’d, Herdier, clefable, Ribombee

Notes: librarian and absolute theatre kid. Married to Doc

YeahJaron: Lechonk, Gumshoos, Klefki, Watchdog, Abra

Notes: works as a detective. Keeps getting roped into shenanigans and leaves many in his wake. His klefki steals people’s keys and he is yet to correct it’s behavior cause it helps him with his job and gives him plausible deniability. Abra is very helpful for getting him out of dangerous situations. Lechonk sniffs things out, but more importantly, this

Philza Minecraft: Murkrow, Murkrow, Murkrow, Murkrow, Murkrow, Corviknight

Notes: retired champion and old man. Referred to as the Crowfather for obvious reasons. One of those old school people who think children should be starting their journey at 10 (studies prove that NO, it’s best to give kids time to develop their brains n shit before sending them into the wild with dangerous creatures who (some) want to kill you) prolly why he was completely fine giving 11 year old Fundy a camping set and some cash with only an “ok buddy go have fun” (seriously the Pokemon world astounds me sometimes) 

Quackity: Reuniclus, Golduck, Gholdengo, Quagsire, Primape, Sableye, Alolan Meowth, Mandibuzz, Flygon, Krookodile, Dragonair

Notes: Runs the battle casino (location in this au) where, along with being a regular casino, you can fight other patrons with each consecutive battle winning you more, but the battles get harder and you lose more money if you’re defeated the further you go. Idk how this would work but you could also bet on who you think will win kinda like horse races? I dunno how the gambling behind horse races works. When you get a high enough win streak fighting, you get to challenge the casino owner himself. Team is randomly assigned of 5 from the list above, excluding the Reuniclus named Charlie who is always on the team (I have refrained from giving any Pokemon nicknames in favor of recognizability (like in the anime) even though in universe it’d make more sense for them to have names (such as in the adventures manga). Point is the Slimecicle pokemon gets an exception because i love my definitely human guy). Quackity is deeply attached to Charlie the Reuniclus :)

Tubbo: Beedrill, Combee, Skiddo

Notes: reason he has Pokemon from completely different places is cause he and Tommy traveled a lot with Wilbur on his research trips before starting his own journey with Tommy. Actually the more competent fighter between him and Tommy. Tommy’s rival

Tommy Innit: Quilava, growlithe, Zigzagoon

Notes: reason he has Pokemon from different places is cause he and Tubbo traveled a lot with Wilbur on his research trips before starting his own journey with Tubbo. Claims he is “the best fighter” and keeps trying to get others to fight him, but ends up needing to get bailed out by someone else (usually Wilbur) when it leads him to trouble. Has proclaimed himself as ranboo’s rival (even if it’s more accurate to say he’s Tubbo’s rival). Pins his gym badges onto the green bandana around his neck

Wilbur Soot: Mareep, Marowak, Chandelure, Drifblim, Drilbur, Kommo-o

Notes: historian and absent father. Always traveling to different landmarks for his research. drilbur soot is way too funny not to include. Kommo-o cause I wanted him to have a pseudo legendary and also a nod to his music (I personally don’t care for it but my sister likes it). Due to his absent-fathering, he dosent pay attention to how much Fundy has grown and still treats him like a child whenever they see eachother 

Dream: Reuniclus, Salamence OR partner eevee, Red Basculegion, Tyranitar, Toxapex, Darkrai

Notes: Scary strong and hope to Arceus you don’t run into him, Man of horror stories type shit. Abandoned multiple champion titles in search of bigger challenges. Optimized his team and abandons what he considers “weak” Pokemon. God knows where he got the darkrai. Used to have an eevee back when he was still friends with George and Sapnap, however it ran away when he really started throwing himself in the deep end (around when Dream started to only focus on “strong Pokemon” The abandonment didn’t help) ALTERNATIVELY, scary-as-fuck partner eevee

Geminitay: Spring form sawsbuck, Goodra, West sea gastrodon, Haxorus, Gardevoir, Sylveon

Notes: I love my Cheery-but-will-beat-you-to-a-pulp characters! Mega stone for gardevoir

Joe Hills: Kecleon

Notes: he has one singular Pokemon. A level 90 Kecleon. The Joe Hills difference strikes again. He would much rather fight you with words than with pokemon, prolly makes a commentary on how too many problems are fought with violence

Docm77: Gogoat, Durant, Golett, Cryogonal, Aggron, Cleffa

Notes: ex-Team Rocket scientist. Joined for the scientific freedom, but left because he couldn’t stand the pokemon cruelty. Cryogonal because of his hc11 Elsa base and just fits his vibes imo(also apparently most people forget about Cryogonal? Heh?? I have a cutout of one in my room I made in a snowflake arts-n-crafts. It has pompoms for the dangle-y string orbs :> ). Has all these scary Pokemon and then pulls out this tiny Cleffa. If you’ve seen his yellow baby chicken clip from season 11 you get the vision. Married to Ren

ImpulseSV: Electivire, Ampharos, Pichu

Notes: Not much for pokemon battling despite 2 very strong Pokemon. Works as an electrician (I love the idea in a world where literal magic animals exist, you still have average jobs like that because at the end of the day, nothing can function without them) Pichu was obtained when Zedaph handed him an egg and told him him to take care of it “for science!”

Xisuma Void: Blastoise, Beheeyem, Beedrill, Lapras, Cubone

Notes: Cubone holds its bone like a guitar and strums it while Xisuma plays. He has become the unofficial father to all the hermits, and as such has to deal with the fallout of a lot of their chaos. From Kanto, him and Evil Xisuma are twins.

Evil Xisuma: Charizard, Bisharp, Gengar, Torkoal, Pancham

Notes: you know how team rocket kept challenging Ash to fights, but kept losing? With increasingly zany plots? *looks over at Evil X continuously ambushing Xisuma and then failing to beat him, before yelling “ILL BE BACK” and running off* yeah. Helsknight bisharp is just. Yes. Pancham’s entry states “It does its best to be taken seriously by its enemies, but its glare is not sufficiently intimidating.” This just applies to both of them. I’d imagine there being a character ac between them bc they’d both be too stubborn to work together, but then finally doing the thing when faced with the common enemy (Xisuma) they still don’t win but they got close! His name is actually Xander, but everyone refers to him as Evil Xisuma/EX (must do wonders for his self confidence). Him and Xisuma are twins. From Kanto

Ok so I finally got around to watching Unstable Universe (30 minutes into the 5th video of the Unstable Universe Accurate Timeline for anyone wondering) and in my youtube recommended got “If Kenadian made unstable universe videos…” See I remember watching this when I was younger and it was kinda my “hey look this exists” introduction to the fandom so I rewatched it today and OMG it still holds up it’s so funny. Just. The jokes. The acting. The fucking board meeting scene. This deserves a cult following at the very least. EVEN THE DESCRIPTION GOT A LAUGH OUT OF ME! I need fanart, fanfiction, whatever asap.
