“Neil, I- You’re here. You’re here,” Todd said, his voice quiet.
“My daughter goes here,” Neil said, his heart pounding so hard it felt like it might burst right out of his ribs.
“Alice?” Todd asked.
Neil nodded, “Alice.”
“I had a suspicion when I saw her last name.” And her eyes, Todd wanted to add, but he decided against it, “But I didn’t think it could be true,” he breathed.
