last book: Voyage of the Damned, by Frances White. I re-read it while I was back home for the holidays, it's a cool book with some nice fantasy and a pretty funny protagonist ^^

last song: Sabotage. Omar of course 😌

last movie: Okay I had to check my Netflix activity because I couldn't' remember 😅 I don't watch a lot of movies but apparently it was The Great Flood during the holidays! A Korean sci-fi movie. Not the best movie in the world but I quite enjoyed it.

last series: I finally watched Jane the Virgin til the end!! I have a tendency to not finish my show so I had to push myself but I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed it!

sweet/salty: it's very hard to choose!! I want to go for sweet (because chocolaaaaate) but I think it does depend, I have periods where I'll definitely go for salty snacks over chocolate ^^

coffee/tea: tea!! Mint tea is my favorite

working on: my PhD application 🥲 Please send me strength

Well that was fun (for me, maybe less so for you guys :p)

Last book: I think it was Cinderella Is Dead by Kalynn Bayron, but I’ve only just started it. (Honourable mention to Haikyuu!! because I keep forcing myself to go back to that for mental health reasons.)

Last song: Nobody by The Crane Wives

Last movie: I genuinely pretty much never watch movies (plus I’ve been watching so many streams/stream VODs rather than actual series lately), so, I believe it was Venom: Let There Be Carnage which was over a month ago, and that was fun.

Last series: Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End!!

Sweet/salty?: Salty!! (..as a kid, I once accidentally pickled my chips because of how much I liked salt and vinegar)

Coffee/tea?: Hot chocolate?(/j) I don’t like either.

Working on?: Generally, I’m trying to work on starting to actually like myself and sort out ending some complicated and messy relationships at college. College-wise, I’m just working on my games design blog work.

Chapter 13: Wake Up Call

In the early hours of Tuesday morning that same week, Kristina Ulfsson got up, got out of bed, and  walked out into the cold October night. 

“Confirmation?” came one voice. 

The second voice was measured, even: “Footage shows license plate upon bridge approach.” 

“Call.”

“Sierra, Bravo, Quebec. Five. Three. Five.” 

“Confirm, dispatch?” 

“Sierra, Bravo, Quebec. Five, three, five. Registration for—”

“I fucking know who’s registration it is.”

The dangerous thing is he could get used to this. Wilhelm is sort of glowing, is ironically almost like a prince charming, making Linda smile and laugh, thanks her for the delicious food and offers to place the plates away and clean. Simon can practically hear what she’ll say tomorrow evening: ‘oh, isn’t that boy such a gentleman’. And maybe she’ll wiggle her eyebrows and Simon will playfully roll his eyes and say ‘no mamá, it isn’t like that. we’re just friends’. Or maybe she won’t wiggle her eyebrows and insinuate anything because why would a prince, who can ask for everything, who can be limitless with his desires, want a boy who has nothing to offer.

OR

Sometimes the differences between Simon and Hillerska rage at him, red and bold and unforgivable. He’s learned when to keep quiet, when not to try, when the boy from the local town isn’t someone worth listening to.

Then he meets Wilhelm.
