「 Never Getting off my Mind 」
l. sophia x f reader ✎𓂃 Everyone loves Sophia Laforteza—she’s basically the golden girl of the school. But for some reason, you’ve never really liked her, and the feeling seems mutual. You’re close with her friends, somehow always around without actually being part of the group. The two of you clash constantly, especially in Student Committee meetings. People say you’d make a great pair, but it’s hard to tell if that’s a compliment or a warning.

“kendall!” your voice booms across the room despite the loud music coming from the speakers. megan looks up as she stretches on the ground, looking at your reflection through the wide mirror in the practice room. she can’t help the way her eyes roll as she watches you bounce over to the visitor. she stares at the girlset member, keeping her expression neutral when kendall wraps you into her arms. your giggles ring in megan’s ears, and she feels her face becoming hot.
she remembers how it was always her you looked for in a crowded room, how you reached out to her when you needed someone. no one knew you like megan did, and the chinese girl took pride in it. you always met on the same wavelength, your personalities never clashing but meshed together in a way that almost felt like fate.
but that was then. and this is now.
she looks away the moment she sees you lean in closer to kendall’s face, her heart twisting in the most uncomfortable way. megan knows this feeling– she has felt it so many times before. when she saw you with anyone else during dream academy, whenever you mentioned you went on a date with a girl the night before, megan’s heart always started to ache annoyingly.
she isn’t brave enough to name that feeling, though. she passes it off as just missing how close you two used to be.
(crawling into your bed, giggling when you tried pushing her away with a broad smile on your face, linking pinkies together everywhere you walked, shared glances across the table when something was ridiculously said, you wiping her tears away after being ripped to shreds during another evaluation).
when megan looks into the mirror again, she catches your eye. she smiles tiredly at you, ignoring how flashes of your old bond go through her mind. you smile back quickly, turning away immediately to talk to kendall as if to pretend the small interaction never happened.
megan continues to stare at you, though, unable to let go of the memories.
despite the fact neither you or megan acknowledge it, eyekons talk about the friendship you two had as if it had all been a delusion– something crafted for the cameras so no one would be able to picture them apart.
they often post threads on twitter about it; posting old photos, old videos, snippets of your life together on dream academy when it was “megy/n against the world.”
eyekons wonder what the breaking point was. many theorize it happened after the jonah rumors came out, some believe it happened much farther back during debut era. whatever it was, it’s a mystery to not only them, but the members as well. one day, your pinkies were connected, chatting down the hallway with your shoulders brushing against each other.
then a day later, something shifted. room assignments changed, schedules needing to be reordered so one doesn’t have to see the other. whatever occurred is a story still untold, only known by the two people who experienced it. it’s a memory megan often goes back to when she looks at you for too long.
(your hands pulling her closer, her fingers threading through your hair. the realization dawning on her. the look on your face when she pushed you away).
she wonders if you ever go back to it, too. but as she watches you peck kendall on the cheek before she departs, your happiness lighting up the room, she knows that you don’t.
“you did great, by the way,” you tell her one day out of the blue. megan is in the middle of taking out her in-ears when you approach with a slight smile. she pauses, turning her head to see you standing a few feet away, already changed out of your stage outfit and now wearing a pair of gym shorts and what looks like to be daniela’s sweater. the genuine look in your eyes makes the other girl feel sick to her stomach.
despite everything, you manage to be kind. since that day everything changed, you have been nothing but kind to megan. of course, you don’t speak as often, only ever having small talk here and there– but none of it has ever been out of spite. megan remembers how you were when she first met you and she can’t help but smile at the memory.
you were so closed off, so guarded, but with her, it was as if you made yourself at home.
the chinese girl shakes her head– not wanting to think herself into another bad mood again. she successfully takes her in-ears out and places them in their respective case. “you say that after every show,” she replies, her voice abnormally quiet.
you shrug, taking another step forward. “because it’s true, mei. take my compliment, for once.” she scoffs, biting her lip to suppress the smile that wants to appear. she tries to ignore the hammering in her chest as she turns away from you.
“thank you, you did great too.” she doesn’t look you in the eyes when she says this, as if scared that you’d see right through her like you always did.
(another failed evaluation. she tries to walk past you but you grab her wrist. her head against your chest as she cried, your arms around her like a safety blanket. she tells you that she doesn’t deserve to be in the final line-up. you tell her she deserves everything).
“megan?” she looks up at you once more with wide eyes, blinking. the hammering in her chest becomes unbearable as you continue, “are you okay?”
she lets out a soft chuckle in response, running a hand through her hair as she nods. “yeah, sorry. i’m so fucking tired.” you laugh at her words, your eyes scrunched up in that way she always adored. for a moment, she’s able to pretend that you were still trainees, and nothing bad has happened yet. she can pretend that your next words will be whether or not she would like to go on a late night snack run because life was simple, and you understood her like a code only you could decipher.
but, instead, you look down at your watch and smile gently. “i’ll let you change. i told kendall i’d call her right about now.” you tell her goodbye, and megan isn’t sure if she said it back. she watches you disappear out the door, and she is left alone again.
she wonders if you knew she wasn’t just tired. she wonders if you saw the storm in her eyes.
something megan fears she will miss about you forever is the way you held her hand so tightly.
she knew it was your way of grounding yourself, especially when life became too much. megan always hated how the world seemed to always be against you. it was if the odds were never going to be in your favor and she thought it was so unfair, so cruel. despite how much you went through though, you continued. you fought for your spot in the group, and somehow, even though you’re here now, the world continues to make you go through every single trial and tribulation.
at some point during the tour, during one of your shows, someone filmed a video of you being behind on the choreography during “gabriela.” the video was posted all over tiktok, twitter, and even instagram reels. people who weren’t fans to begin with began to flood your comment section on every single social media platform you owned.
the girls started to notice a shift in your tune following the next few days.
you began to practice even later, arriving to your shared hotel room with daniela at 3 am when you were all expected to be up and ready by 6 am. you became much more quiet, sometimes almost falling asleep during interviews. your groupmates and kendall have tried several times to get you to take a break, to not push yourself so hard and to forget about what other people were thinking.
but the drive to be perfect has always been there; reinforced by the years you were on dream academy.
during one of your many late night practices, megan decides to visit you. it’s the night right before daniela’s hometown show. in their shared groupchat, you declined the invite to come with the girls to visit the latina’s family and it made megan wonder if it’s because you were still at the studio.
lo and behold, your location confirmed her suspicions.
she hears ‘gabriela’ playing loudly from down the hall as she enters the building and she can’t help but frown. even if you two do not confide in each other about your stressors no longer, a part of megan can still sense your insecurity from miles away.
she knows this isn’t just about the performance– there is something much bigger and more significant than that.
as she gets closer to the practice room, the song finally ends and the building falls into a ominous silence. megan wonders if she should just turn back, and pretend she was never here. she wonders if she’s just wasting her time, and she also wonders if this is a boundary she was never supposed to cross anyway.
(megan remembers the first time she caught glimpse of the budding romantic relationship between you and kendall. it was at another one of adela’s house parties, and she was not expecting the girlset members to be there.
megan looked around the room in hopes of spotting one of the girls. it had been a long time since she last saw them, and was excited to catch up. however, the conversation she was in with emily and lexie is drowned out by the view of you and kendall.
you’re both laughing at something adela must have said and megan couldn’t help but furrow her brows at the way you snuck glances at the other girl, how kendall would catch your eyes and bump your shoulder with her own.
at some point, your fingers became intertwined. megan’s blood ran cold when she saw kendall lean over to whisper something in your ear.
time stopped for megan when you turned your head to face her.
suddenly, the chinese girl couldn’t breathe when you leaned in, capturing kendall’s lips with your own.)
megan walks into the room without another beat, her eyes landing on you, lying on the floor, your chest rising and falling quickly. “you need to take a rest. i’m serious.” her voice echoes unintentionally loud throughout the room causing you to jump to your feet quickly in panic. megan covers her mouth, the heat of embarrassment felt against her cheeks as she looks at the shock evident on your expression.
you clutch at your chest and let out a heavy breath as you shake your head at your groupmate. “jesus christ megan, what the fuck?”
she uncovers her mouth and reminds herself of the reason of why she’s here. she crosses her arms and starts to make her way toward you slowly. “i’m sorry… i saw that you were still here and like,” she sighs and stops a few feet away from you. megan tilts her head and looks at you with furrowed brows as she continues, “you really need some rest.”
“oh,” you reply, your eyes softening at her words. you look down at your feet, not saying anything more. she waits for your reply but as minutes pass, she begins to think that it will never come. megan opens her mouth to reiterate her point but you finally speak, “did you see that everyone is saying that it was a mistake that i’m even in the group?”
there it is.
she shakes her head, taking a step closer to you. “who’s saying that?”
a bitter chuckle escapes your lips. you continue to avoid her eyes as you reply, “everyone.”
megan finally makes her way over to you and sits down.
the words tumble from her mouth before she can stop them, “i’m not everyone.” you look at her, your lips in a thin line as if trying to hold something back.
(“are you punishing me or something?” your words echo down the hallway as megan walks out of an interview for the documentary. she stops but doesn’t turn around. “did they tell you to say that about me?”
right before the interview, megan was told to criticize how slowly it took you to learn the routine.
“i was being honest.” is all megan says before she tries to walk away again.
your next words feels like a stab at her heart. “i wish you’d try being honest about other things.)
“you’re all in a group with me– you’re all supposed to be biased,” you scoff. megan rolls her eyes and pokes your shoulder, raising a brow at your claim.
“that’s so not true. if it was really that bad, you know soph would already be on your ass about it. worse– dani would be in this studio right now with you until you finally get it right.” her words gets a laugh out of you. the sound reminds her of when you were both younger and playing 21 questions to get to know each other. she remembers how you clutched your stomach because you couldn’t stop laughing after she asked what type of tree is your favorite.
(“excuse me?” megan laughs louder, her head against your shoulder. she’s 17 and you just turned 18.
“personally, i love palm trees.” megan replies suddenly, grinning widely as you laugh even harder.
“we get it, you’re from hawaii!”)
you finally glance at the younger girl, a slight smile on your lips. “i guess you’re right. everyone is just so brutal nowadays,” you sigh, leaning your head against her shoulder. megan freezes at the contact. what used to be second nature now feels foreign to the chinese girl but she remains calm, not wanting to ruin it for a moment.
she nods in agreement, scooting a bit closer so you can feel more comfortable. “they’re all weirdos with nothing better to do. we get to travel the world and they can stay mad about it,” megan affirms. she tries to hide her frown when you pick your head up, her heart racing when you turn to face her with a genuine smile.
you’re quiet for a moment, as if pondering what to say next. she watches as you tilt your head, your eyes soft and slightly glossy. “thanks for being here mei.”
as soon as she feels your arms around her, she quickly reacts and holds you tightly as if you would disappear. she smells your perfume and realizes you still use the same scented shampoo.
megan closes her eyes. she pretends for a moment that this is normal. “no problem.”
the next day, everyone is relieved to see you in such high spirits.
you walk alongside everyone, a pep in your step as you continue talking to kendall over facetime. you show her everything you see, talking animatedly about how the tour has been so far. megan watches your smile become brighter, your head thrown back in laughter due to something the other said. megan looks away when she hears you tell kendall, “i love you.”
megan wonders if kendall is your first love.
she wonders if everyone thinks kendall is the reason why you feel happier today.
she wonders if you told kendall about your encounter with each other the night before.
megan, without fail, always wakes up at 5:45 AM.
she remembers a time when she would hear an alarm in the distance, ringing loudly at 5:45 AM. the first time she heard it, it jolted her awake, annoying her immediately when she couldnt go back to sleep.
and then suddenly, it became her routine for almost two years.
she’d hear it turn off, the slight jostling of sheets, a quiet yawn as the soft padding of your feet is heard all the way into the bathroom. megan would lie there, awake. she waits until you leave to go back to sleep— only to wake up again at 6:30 AM so she could greet you when you came back.
(“why are you awake?” megan hands you an apple and shrugs.
she grabs your water bottle and refills it as she replies, “i wanted to catch the sunrise. you should come with me.”)
now, even in her own apartment with lara, she still wakes up at 5:45 AM. but the sounds that come after never come.
sleep never finds megan. she stays awake until her own alarm goes off.
at 5:45 am, megan opens her eyes and she forgets where she is for a few minutes. she stares up at the ceiling with tired eyes, thinking about how she desperately needs a break right about now. the tour is everything she could have ever dreamed of. she loves the idol life– the endless nights are what she struggles with. megan is torn away from her thoughts at the sound of an alarm. she jumps at the noise, frantically sitting up to find the source.
she looks over to the side and sees your sleeping form, the realization dawning on her.
when they finally arrived to seattle, your managers tell you both that you’d be sharing a room together.
the members watched for a reaction, bracing themselves for what might come afterwards. a month ago, megan would have fought tooth and nail for the arrangement to change.
but she answers first, stating, “i’m okay with that.”
since that night in the practice room, the usual awkwardness and tension that would fill the room whenever you were both left alone has somewhat disappeared. you’re more open to a conversation, even going up to megan when you find a tiktok she may find funny.
it’s easy. she doesn’t feel like she has to pretend anymore.
as the chiming continues to fill the room, megan feels for her phone underneath her pillow and takes it out, squinting when the bright screen begins to illuminate her face.
it’s 6 o’clock.
so different, yet still the same.
she quickly tucks her phone underneath the pillow once more, turning on her side so you wouldn’t notice her awake. the chiming stops and for a brief moment, it’s just silence. she wonders if you had fallen back asleep but the sound of the bed creaking slightly is her answer.
she hears your footsteps making its way toward the bathroom and, for a moment, it feels like she’s living another life. a life where nothing went wrong and she doesn’t think about the ‘what-ifs?’ in some other universe, this is the norm, and she’d be waiting at the door for you.
but as you finish getting ready and head out the door, megan knows she has to accept reality.
(“tell me a secret.” your voice is soft with sleep and megan notices how your eyes slowly close.
“you’re my best friend in the entire world.” she whispers back to you, her heart pounding in her chest as you shift closer.
“that isn’t a secret. tell me a real one.” you open your eyes and the look you give her sends shivers down her spine. the air is thick and she glances at your lips, not knowing if she’d be able to hold back this time. her eyes look into yours again as you whisper again, “tell me.”
megan thinks words could never be enough. so, she kisses you, hoping it’s a secret you’d be willing to die with).
the next time megan sees you, it’s in the hotel lobby. her and lara had been sitting down by the entrance, waiting for the others to arrive so they could practice before the show. when she meets your eyes, she notices a furrow in your brow. as you walk closer, megan feels her heart start to race.
“you were gone when i came bsck.” you say quickly. megan snaps her head toward you. she furrows her brows at the way you dont look sway
megan tilts her head, noticing how stiff you stand in front of her. she feels lara’s eyes set on her and for some reason, it makes her want to cower away from the conversation. it’s a simple question with a simpler answer; but megan stays silent, unsure of how to
“i just wanted to be down here on time… it’s hard getting up in the mornings.” lie.
you nod though, a slight smile spreading across your face. “that’s fair, i was just wondering.”
“i honestly didnt even hear you leave.” megan chuckles. it’s a lie.
she watches you laugh, as if the anxiety that was present in your tone earlier never existed. “even when my alarm was blaring?”
lara’s eyes stay on megan— the chinese girl can feel her best friend reading her thoughts. she ignores it though, saving face, lying through her teeth, “didn’t hear a thing.”
megan sits out alone on the balcony of her apartment. she stares at the LA skyline, the bright lights beneath her. friends have come over to the apartment to hang out and at some point, the chinese girl needed a breather. she takes her phone out of her pocket, checking to see if she had any recent messages (more specifically, from you).
megan zones out as she continues to stare at the night sky. she tries her best not to fall into another memory, knowing it would put her out of commission for the rest of the night. however, the sound of the balcony door opening behind her pulls her out of her head. she turns around, her eyes widening even more when she sees you as the culprit.
she finds the sheepish expression on your face to be adorable and watches as you slowly close the door, as if wanting to decrease the risk of her having another heart attack. you place a hand on the chair that’s next her, saying, “can i sit with you?”
megan nods, scooting her own chair over so you’re able to have more space. “i thought you said you wouldn’t be able to come tonight.”
you chuckle, finally sitting down. she notices the beer bottle in your hand and watches you take a sip before you reply, “i said kendall isn’t coming tonight.”
“oh that’s right– sorry, i assumed it was a packaged deal,” she teases, ignoring the way her chest twists painfully at the mention of your relationship with the girlset member. you just laugh in response, taking another sip from the bottle. silence falls over you both and megan looks down at the ground, avoiding any eye contact with you. minutes pass and she wonders if it would be best to walk back inside to join the others.
“dream academy was fun,” you say, breaking the silence. megan couldn’t help the snort she lets out and covers her mouth to stifle her giggles. you laugh with her, shaking your head. “i’m so serious! believe it or not!” you take another sip of your beer and megan looks at you, incredously.
“was it though?” megan jokes. you lean down, placing your beer onto the floor. you look back up at the girl with a lopsided grin that tells her you’ve had more than just that one beer.
there’s a flicker in your eyes as you reply, “sometimes i wish i could go back.”
your words causes megan’s world to stop. she wonders what you mean by going back, if there were any implications to your statement. megan thinks about that night. the night that changed everything and led you both straight here. it’s been years, but it continues to play like a broken record in the back of megan’s mind. she doesn’t know how to reply, staring down at her lap.
“you have every right to like, not feel the same. but that’s just my hot take.” you chuckle, a tinge of nervousness in your voice. from the corner of megan’s eye she can see you pick up your beer, your hand shaking slightly.
megan takes a deep breath and folds her hands tightly in her lap. “sometimes, i think about like, how close we used to be, you know?” she avoids your eyes, not wanting to see your reaction.
(somewhere in korea, there’s a lock with both of your initials engraved in it. megan keeps the key hidden somewhere in her desk drawer).
“you were my best friend in the whole entire world. like, you gave me everything i could have ever needed during those days.” she feels tears start to form in her eyes and she tries to wipe them away as she continues, “i would’ve given you everything and that was so fucking terrifying.”
the words you say next cause her to close her eyes, her tears falling onto her lap. “is that why you did what you did?”
(your name is announced. megan watched as you ran past her to jump into someone else’s arms).
“i wanted a spot in the group so bad,” megan says. she tries to keep her voice level as she thinks about the lengths she went through to be where she is now. she wonders if it was worth it– she wonders if that day would have made any difference. if she had chosen to stay– would she even be here right now? she sighs, opening her eyes again to wipe away her tears. “so i let them get to my head. it was either you or me.” her voice cracks and suddenly the tears become too hard to hide.
(whispers that you were leading in votes. choreographers giving you all their praise. the interview that led to you never looking in megan’s direction again. niki telling her that there’s only one more spot for a main dancer– that this her only chance to shine).
“you wanna know the difference between us?” megan snaps her head toward you, her tears sliding freely against her cheek. she waits, letting the question linger. you take another sip from your beer before answering yourself, “it was never “you or me.” personally, if it wasn’t us in this group together, then forget it.”
megan watches as you stand up. you take one last sip of your beer before placing it down on the table next to you. you look at megan, a smile on your lips that doesn’t quite reach your eyes. “i could have lived with the fact you ran away after we kissed– that’s something i could have sorted out myself. but what you said in that booth? to that camera for everyone to see? that’s always gonna leave a sting.”
it’s silent. megan knows there isn’t much else left for her to say. she wants to reach out to you and apologize. she wants to start over and make everything right again.
but instead, she accepts defeat. “you and kendall are perfect for each other.” megan looks up at you, a bittersweet smile on her face. she feels the knot in her chest tightening as she whispers, “if i could take it back, i would.” she lets out a shaky breath and notices that your cheeks are wet with tears. megan shakes her head, knowing her next words would bite her in the ass, “we would’ve been really good. i know we would’ve.”
you stare at her in silence. her heart hums in her chest as she waits for your response.
“who knows?” you whisper back, shrugging your shoulders tiredly.
megan nods. her eyes soften at the way you look at her and, for a moment, she smiles.
(from across the practice room, she sees you).
she feels a weight lifted off her shoulders when she sees you smile back.
(from across the practice room, you see her).
“who knows?” she affirms.
megan sits in the lobby of the hotel they’re currently staying at, curled up in one of the chairs with her head resting against the armrest. there’s sleep still in her eyes, but she forces them to stay open, watching the front doors of the hotel. suddenly, she smiles gently as she watches you walk inside. you’re out of breath and you look like you must have pushed yourself more than usual on your morning run. as you walk to the elevators, you finally catch daniela’s eyes and stop in your tracks, not expecting her presence.
“mei?” you tilt your head curiously, a slight smile on your lips. megan picks her head up and yawns.
“good morning,” megan says, smiling.
(whispered, “i miss yous,” at 8 in the morning, megan leaning against the counter. the sunshine seeping through the blinds, warm brown eyes, her thumb against your cheek when home felt like home).
you nod at her, smiling back. “good morning, mei.”
she watches as you walk toward the elevator to go back up to the room. when you walk inside, she turns away and looks out the window. the sun starts to rise.
she thinks about how beautiful it is.
nothing else.
(your eyes closed, exhausted from your run. she looks at you, missing the view entirely. there’s nothing else).

KATSEYE WEEK
# hickey . sophia laforteza
summary. A simple clip of you talking about Katseye goes viral. It was cute that your favorite idols recognized you at the VMAs, but even cuter was that in that same bathroom, a certain Filipina marked you as hers.
content. smut, dom!sophia , sesbian lex, fingering, dirty talk, explicit language
KATSEYE WEEK
You had never been the type to hide your tastes. On your Twitch channel, where you'd built a healthy army of 40,000 followers, you were known for being authentic to a fault: you said what you thought, laughed at your own jokes, and cried without shame. But there was one thing that, out of pure dignity, you tried to keep private.
Like your obsession with Katseye. Specifically, with Sophia.
It wasn't that you hid it completely. Your Sophia edits would pop up in your Twitter likes from time to time, and you had a sticker of her on your water bottle. But you'd never taken it further. Your fans had no idea about your crush on a certain Filipina.
That night, however, the chat became especially unbearable.
"Y/N REACT TO KATSEYE" "M.I.A already out pleaseeeee" "just one minute" "I'll donate 50 bits if you watch the MV" "SOPHIA LOOKS DIRECTLY AT THE CAMERA IN THIS CLIP, I SWEAR"
You sighed, resting your cheek on your fist as you pretended to consider the proposal. You'd been playing Valorant for two hours and had just lost a round in humiliating fashion. You needed a break, and the chat knew it.
"Okay, okay," you gave in at last, raising your hands in surrender. "But only because you're all a bunch of pests."
The chat exploded with heart emojis and green letters. You opened YouTube clumsily, trying to fake disinterest, even though your heart was already pounding with excitement. You typed "Katseye M.I.A" with fingers that trembled a little more than they should have.
The video loaded. The first notes played.
You settled into your chair, crossing one leg over the other. You nodded along to the beat, making technical comments about the production, the lighting, the wardrobe. Very professional. Very normal.
Until Sophia appeared.
It was just a second. Sophia on top of the truck, on her knees, looking into the camera with that intensity that completely threw you off balance, her hair falling over one shoulder, her lips almost smiling. Nothing extraordinary.
But a sound escaped you.
Something between a muffled moan and a smile that unconsciously spread across your face. Your left hand, the one not on the mouse, instinctively went to your mouth.
"…wow," you said, and your voice came out an octave higher than usual. "I like… I like that… I mean the shot… yeah, I like that shot."
The chat was already a tsunami.
"SHE DIED" "THAT SMILE SHE COULDN'T HIDE" "Y/N YOU JUST OUTED YOURSELF" "SOPHIA HAS HER CRAZY" "CLIP CLIP CLIP"
You tried to regain your composure. You cleared your throat, took a sip of water, tried to look at the camera normally. But then Sophia appeared again, this time laughing in a behind-the-scenes clip they had intercut at the end of the video, and you simply… gave up.
"Okay," you said, letting your head fall against the back of your chair once the music video ended. "They're very good and beautiful… BEAUTIFUL, I mean… they're all very good artists, yeah."
The chat lost its mind. You did too, a little.
Within an hour, clips of your reaction were everywhere. Twitter, TikTok, Instagram. You watched the view count climb like foam and turned off your phone before you had a heart attack.
What you didn't know was that, on the other side of the screen, someone else had also seen the clips.
----------
You couldn't recognize your own reflection.
Tonight were the VMAs, and Olivia Rodrigo, your friend of many years, had asked you to come as her date. It wasn't the first time you'd attended an event with her, but this one… this one was different. It was huge. The cameras, the flashes, famous people everywhere. You'd spent the previous night unable to sleep. But when the stylist Olivia sent finished fixing you up and you looked at yourself in the full-length mirror, all your nerves paused.
The dress was black, floor-length, with a side slit that went up to mid-thigh. Your back was completely exposed down to your lower back, closed with a delicate black velvet bow right where the curve of your spine began. The makeup was simple, the way you liked it, not too heavy. They left your hair down, with soft waves falling over your shoulders like a cascade.
You were gorgeous. And you knew it.
The limousine picked you up an hour later. The ride to the venue was short but long enough for your nerves to bloom again. Olivia sat beside you, radiant in a purple dress that fit her like a glove.
"You look gorgeous," Olivia said, admiring you from head to toe with a smile. "You're going to steal all my spotlight."
"Impossible."
You laughed. And the limousine stopped.
The red carpet was a whirlwind of flashes and screams. Olivia held your hand, smiling at the cameras, and you stayed glued to her like a shadow. The cameras followed you almost as much as they followed Olivia. The flashes blinded you at times, but you kept smiling. There was something in the air that night, something electric, that made you feel light.
But you were completely unaware of what was happening just a few meters away.
Because on the other side of the carpet, near the main entrance of the venue, there were six eyes following your every move. All six of them. Katseye complete.
It was Lara who first looked up while adjusting her earrings. She recognized you instantly — the viral clip had gone around the world, and of course they had all seen it — and pointed you out with a slight tilt of her chin, saying nothing.
"Look," she said in a low voice. "It's the girl from the streams. The one who's in love with Sophia."
One by one, the others turned their heads to where she was pointing. And they froze.
Because in person, you were overwhelming. The screens didn't do you justice. Your skin glowed under the flashes with an impossible tone, your gaze had a depth no camera had managed to capture, and the way you walked was hypnotic. The black dress hugged you as if it had been sewn onto you.
"Oh my God," Megan murmured, not taking her eyes off you. "She looks way better than in the clip. Way better."
"She's absurd," Lara added, raising an eyebrow. "Sophia, did you know she was this hot in person? Because I didn't expect it."
Sophia said nothing. She couldn't. Because from the moment her eyes found you, the entire world shrank to you. The way you laughed at something Olivia said. The way you tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, a gesture so natural it felt intimate. The curve of your neck when you turned your head.
Sophia felt the air leave her lungs.
"She's freaking out," Manon said quietly, with a knowing smile, glancing at Sophia from the corner of her eye. "Look at the face she just made."
"Don't even start," Megan replied, crossing her arms. "Sophia, if you're not interested, I'm going to make my move. Because look at her…"
"Shut up," Sophia finally interrupted, her voice coming out rougher than she intended. She didn't take her eyes off you. She couldn't.
"I'm just saying," Megan added, raising her hands in peace, but with a huge smile, "that if you don't make a move, someone will. That girl isn't going to be alone for long, and…"
"Megan, enough," Lara intervened, though she was also smiling. "Let Sophia breathe."
"Sophia? Could you give us a sign that you're actually here with us?" Manon said through laughter, provoking giggles from the other four.
Sophia didn't respond. She just kept following you with her gaze as you disappeared into the sea of people, heading inside the venue. Behind her, Lara and Megan exchanged a knowing look. They knew their friend was done for.
You, meanwhile, kept walking, unaware that just a few meters away, five girls were holding back laughter as they watched the sixth look at you as if you were the only person in the room.
-------------
The ceremony had continued quietly. Some artists had performed, others had gone up to receive awards amid emotional speeches and flashes illuminating the stage. Olivia sat beside you, commenting on each performance in a low voice as if you were watching TV in her living room.
But you couldn't fully concentrate. Your gaze kept drifting to Katseye's table.
You needed to get out of there. Even if just for a minute.
"I'm going to the bathroom," you whispered to Olivia.
"Do you want me to come with you?"
"No, I'll be right back."
You stood up carefully, adjusting your black dress, and walked across the room between tables and celebrities. Your heels made a soft sound against the carpet. The hallway leading to the bathrooms was empty.
You were distracted when your heel caught on the edge of the carpet. You felt yourself losing your balance, the world tilting to one side, a small gasp escaping your lips before you could do anything to stop it.
But the fall never came.
Two hands grabbed your waist with unexpected firmness, catching you just before you hit the ground. The contact was warm, secure, and suddenly you were much closer to someone than you had planned to be all night.
You looked up, your heart in your throat and your breath uneven.
And you found yourself staring into Sophia's dark eyes.
She was right in front of you, her hands still around your waist. Her expression was a mix of surprise and something else you couldn't name.
"Wow," she said, not letting you go, a smile forming at the corner of her lips. "Do you always enter bathrooms like this?"
Your brain took a couple of seconds to start working again.
"Sorry," you managed to say, your voice barely your own. "I tripped. The heel… the carpet… I didn't see you…"
"Don't worry," Sophia replied, and instead of letting go, her fingers pressed a little tighter against your waist, just a whisper of pressure. "Good thing I was here, right? You could have hurt yourself."
"Yeah," you swallowed. "Good thing."
"Wait," Sophia said in fake confusion, tilting her head. "I know you, don't I?"
Your heart skipped a beat.
"You? I don't think so…"
"Yes," she insisted, and now her smile was open, almost teasing. "You're the girl from the clip. The M.I.A one."
You felt the heat rise up your neck and burn your entire cheeks.
"That wasn't…" you started, searching for words. "My followers blew it out of proportion, I just—"
Sophia raised an eyebrow, and her smile twisted slightly. She pressed her lips together, and for a moment she seemed to hesitate. Then she said, in a tone that tried to sound casual:
"Ah. So… you don't think I'm as beautiful as the clip says? What a disappointment."
The air got stuck in your throat.
"What? No," you answered too fast, too loud. "I didn't say that."
"You didn't say it, but…"
"I —" you interrupted her. "You are… I think you're… beautiful."
"That's it?" Sophia asked, and her whisper ran through your entire body. Her hands were still on your waist, and now she was slowly pulling you closer, inch by inch, until there was no space left between you. "Just beautiful? In the clip, you seemed to think something more than that."
"I-I —" you stammered, feeling the heat rise up your neck. Your back hit the cold bathroom wall.
"In the clip," she continued, and her mouth got close to your ear, her lips brushing your lobe, "you looked at me like you wanted to eat me."
"Because it was true," you said, clinging to her shoulders.
"Mmm," Sophia smiled. It was a slow, dangerous smile that drove you crazy. "And now? How are you looking at me now?"
"The same," you answered, and your voice came out lower than you wanted, rougher.
Sophia leaned in. Her mouth went down to your neck, and you felt her lips part against your skin. She didn't kiss. She just breathed. Her warm breath ran down your spine, making your hair stand on end, and you had to lean against the wall to not fall.
"Is it okay if I do this?" she asked against your neck. And you could only nod, feeling all the air leave your lungs.
Her mouth found your skin. The first kiss was soft, barely a brush. The second was a suction that made you moan, that made your hands clench. You felt the mark form, how it burned, how it was going to stay.
"Sophia… don't leave a mark," you managed to say, your voice coming out in a thread. "People will see…"
"Mmhm," Sophia said, and she didn't care. Her mouth went down to your collarbone, biting, sucking, leaving another mark. Your skin reddened under her lips, and you felt every beat of the blood pooling into the bruise.
"Sophia—"
"Do you want me to stop?"
"No."
"Then don't complain."
Her mouth kept going down. She marked your shoulder, the curve of your chest, the top of your bust where the dress started to give way. Her hands found the zipper of your dress and pulled it down slowly, centimeter by centimeter, exposing the warm skin underneath.
"So beautiful," she murmured, her voice rough. "I was going crazy watching you out there, not being able to do anything."
The dress fell, and Sophia stood there for a moment, looking at you. Her eyes traveled down your naked body with a torturous slowness, as if she was trying to memorize every one of your curves: your breasts, your stomach, the line of your underwear, your trembling thighs.
"You know how many times I imagined this?" she said, her voice barely a thread. "I couldn't get you out of my head since I saw that clip."
"Sophia, please," you whimpered.
Sophia smiled. It was a triumphant smile. And she kept going, marking one of your breasts, going down to your abdomen, ending up on her knees right where you needed her. Her hand went down to your crotch. The fabric of your underwear was soaked, and she felt it. Her fingers pressed lightly, and you bit your lip to keep from moaning.
"You're already so wet," she said.
She pulled down your underwear. The fabric fell to your ankles, and the cool bathroom air hit your bare skin. Your knees trembled seeing her like that, looking up at you with that hungry gaze.
"Open your legs for me," she ordered, placing her hands on the inside of your thighs.
You obeyed. Her mouth found your center, and the first contact of her tongue was electric. It wasn't soft, it wasn't slow. It was hungry, desperate, as if she'd been waiting weeks for this moment. Her tongue moved in circles around your clit, sucking, licking, barely biting.
"Sophia, that feels so good, God," you moaned, and your hands grabbed her hair, starting to move your hips.
"Just like that," she said against your skin. "Use my face."
Her tongue went down to your entrance, went in slowly, and you felt it move inside you, exploring every fold, every corner. She sucked your wetness like it was the only thing she wanted to taste in her life.
She pushed two fingers inside you, slowly, making you feel each knuckle, each centimeter. Your inner walls clenched around them, adapting to their size, and she waited a moment, feeling you pulse around her.
"Shit," she murmured, her voice vibrating against your clit. "So tight. The way you squeeze me."
She started moving them, each thrust accompanied by a circle of her tongue around your clit. The sound was obscene, wet, mixing with your moans and her ragged breathing.
"There, right there, please don't stop, don't stop, I'm so close," you moaned.
"Mmm, so bossy," she said and sped up the rhythm.
Her fingers moved faster inside you, going in and out with an intensity that blurred your vision. Her tongue didn't stop, sucking, licking, pressing right where you needed it most. The combination was too much. The orgasm started building in your belly, slow at first, then faster, closer and closer.
"Come for me," she said. "Come now. I want to taste all of it."
"Sophia—"
"Come, you fucking brat. Come."
The words hit you like a wave. The orgasm ran through your entire body, shaking you against the wall, making your legs buckle and your scream get muffled in your arm. You clenched around her fingers with a force that made her moan, that made her bury her face deeper between your legs. Sophia didn't stop. She kept moving her fingers, her tongue, lengthening every contraction, taking you higher. You felt yourself come and come, how you couldn't stop, how every time you thought it was over, a new wave shook you completely.
"Like that," Sophia said against your skin, her voice a pant. "That's how I want you. A mess. All wet for me."
When the orgasm finally subsided, you were left breathless. Your head fell forward, resting against the wall, and you felt Sophia stand up slowly, her hands going up your thighs, your stomach, your breasts.
"You're a mess," she said, and there was pride in her voice.
"All your fault."
"I know. You look beautiful."
She kissed you. Her mouth tasted like you, and that made you moan again. When she pulled away, she fixed your dress, pulled up your zipper, wiped your tears with her thumb.
"Are you okay?" she asked, her voice low, soft, completely different from the one she'd used minutes before.
"Yes," you answered, the word coming out rough, broken.
"Sure?"
"Sure."
"Was it too much?"
"No," you said, and smiled. "It was perfect."
Sophia smiled from ear to ear and leaned in again, giving you another kiss, but this one slower, sweeter, while her hands gently went to your cheeks, caressing them.
You looked at each other for a second. Two. Then Sophia sighed, running a hand through her hair.
"Shall we go?" she asked. "The girls are going to kill me if I don't get back soon."
"Let's go."
And you left the bathroom as if nothing had happened, as if five minutes ago Sophia hadn't been on her knees between your legs, as if five minutes ago you hadn't had the best orgasm of your life.
"Can we see each other again?" Sophia asked shyly, stopping you for a second in the hallway.
"That's obvious, silly." Sophia smiled. She kissed your forehead and disappeared into the crowd. You went back to Olivia's table, and she looked at you with a mischievous smile.
"Everything okay?" she asked.
"Everything okay," you lied, and your smile wouldn't go away.
At Katseye's table, Sophia got an elbow from Megan.
"So?" Megan asked.
"I got her number," Sophia said, and her smile was just as wide as yours.
"Nothing else?"
"Nothing else."
"Liar," Manon said, pointing at Sophia's neck.
Sophia brought her hand to her neck. The marks from your nails were there, visible, unmistakable. "Shut up," she said, and blushed.

I had to think about this a little bit, but I’d gladly join!
Personally, I would like my representative to be (ex) fromis_9 Lee Saerom!
In terms of strengths, I believe I work well with longer fics, especially when consuming media that gets me inspired for it. Really puts me in the zone!
Now for what I’m nervous about… likely being a let-down for my team! Mainly bc I’ve been inactive for quite some time and HOPE that it doesn’t affect my work and work ethic greatly. REGARDLESS! I’m still excited for what's to come :3.
IM ACTUALLY PSYCHED FOR THIS
