Hey so I’ve been posting a bit about a spiderman kit au and I can’t stop thinking about it so we are gonna go into even MORE details (I wish I was a fanfic author so badly). I’ll also do one on Ty and Livvy! Find my first post here
Kit backstory:
Kit grew up in the shady, poor areas of New York (yes it’s set in New York because I said so). He had no clue about anything related to his mother and his father was affiliated with multiple gangs and was obviously in some very illegal business- Kit was also neglected so he was forced to steal and such so he could afford to buy and cook his own food. His father was killed by a gang when he was 15 because he gave the rival gang info on them and Kit was then found by a social worker (Tessa) who left him to stay temporarily with the Blackthorns
Obviously his adjustment period was rocky, and he kept seeing Livvy and specifically Ty kind of stalking him? Just as he planned to run away Ty convinced him not to and thus bloomed their friendship. Kit was sent to live with Jem and Tessa however he still saw Ty and Livvy at school every day. When Kit turned 16 he was bitten by a spider and suddenly gained superhuman strength, speed and could stick to walls? And then became his Spider-Man arc. Once he became Spider Man, he would have frequent nightmares and although he already had insomnia it got even worse. He stopped wearing short sleeves and always wore long pants to cover his healing scars. Kit and Ty became a couple that same year. When they were 17, an entity that Kit was looking for cornered Ty and Livvy and began attacking them. Ty threw himself over Livvy causing his back to get scarred. They were ripped apart at some point and Livvy was almost killed and got a long jagged scar from her chest to her hip. Spider-Man came and distracted the entity and after took Ty and Livvy to the hospital. And then this began Ty’s fixation on figuring out Spider-Man’s identity. At one point when Kit was at the Blackthorns, he was changing his shirt and Dru walked in and saw all the bruises and confronted him. Kit begged her not to tell anyone and Dru finally relented (and threatened Kit if he was in a gang and got Ty and Livvy in danger she’d kill him). They became good friends after that.
Jem and Tessa notice Kit’s anxiety and horrible sleep and grow worried. They give him pills for his insomnia but Kit lies and doesn’t take them out of fear someone will get hurt at night. Jem once glimpsed bruises on Kit’s arm before they could heal (Kit has accelerated healing) and Kit snapped at Jem and refused to tell him. The topic has not been breached since.
They all graduate, Ty goes into forensic science (I know he wanted to be a detective, but I feel like the idea of having to be a field officer for god knows how long would be extremely unappealing to him), Livvy goes into computer engineering and Kit goes into aerospace engineering (we don’t know much about his interests but he gives that vibe). Once they’re in college (im so used to calling it university) Ty brings up moving in together and Kit does want to but is terrified of Ty finding out about him being Spider Man. Kit also meets Ash during this time and they immediately bond and find out they’re 2nd cousins. At one point Kit comes back to his dorm after a fight and Ash is in there (he broke in because he was bored) and then discovers Kit is Spider Man. Kit makes Ash swear he won’t tell anyone and Ash finally relents, agreeing. Kit is secretly relieved that somebody knows, as he’s so exhausted of keeping it a secret but is full of so much fear that anyone who finds out could be in danger. This is also the time when Livvy begins to suspect Kit is Spider Man- she tries to bring it up to see if she can get a reaction, but Kit just shrugs and doesn’t say anything.
(Appearance wise, I imagine Kit is bit on the leaner side with heavy-ish eyebags and without his shirt would have scars scattered everywhere. Other then that it’d all be the same as cannon)
