I lost Amber today. She deteriorated rapidly in the night and wasn’t able to eat or move. The Solensia had worked very very well and bought her an extra couple of months - good months, where she could play and eat and cuddle without pain, but we were always aware it wouldn’t work forever, and we agreed from the offset to not let her suffer.

She was put to sleep, and I held her in my arms, and she purred until she drifted away.

I loved you so so much; my elderly baby. My swamp lady ❤️

This is my favourite picture of Amber - I’d made a big lasagne and portioned it up, then put the empty yet still warm dish on the side. In the minute I’d taken to take some rubbish out, she got in and she looked so proud of herself.

Thank you for being you Amber. I love you.
