These are awesome & I have a pair but I find that in order to have my boots laced as tight as I like them the zipper pull does a real number on my fingertips trying to get it closed past the tension. I eventually broke one of the pulls off which was a relief because a keychain split ring that I can get my finger through ended up being way easier to work with. You could also put a rope loop through the holes of the zipper pull if you want to give yourself a similarly easier time.
