My TOP 10 couples of 2023 based on their chemistry.

It's almost the end of this year so it's time for a recap.

This year, like last one, was not a good year for me. I could barely pick 10 pairs that I liked. Fingers crossed for the next year.

Cruz & Aaliyah (Special Ops: Lioness) Special Ops Lioness surprised me. I didn't expect them to do that. These two ladies have such great chemistry, it's fun to watch. Too bad Cruz's face was bruised throughout the series. And, of course, the ending. Although this ending was expected, but Aaliyah's face at the end was absolutely heartbreaking.

Desi & Irene (Sin Huellas/No Traces) Awesome show, even without the f/f relationship. I had fun watching it. Desi and Irene were a very nice addition. They are a perfect example of opposites attracting.

Stephanie & Harper (Gotham Knights) I like superhero series, but this one was weak. That's why I'm surprised I liked Stephanie and Harper so much. Maybe because I'm sucker for enemies to lovers trope.

Marie & Jordan (Gen V) This series is ridiculous, not in a bad way of course, but sometimes it's too much for me. I'm not sure I would have continued watching without Marie and Jordan.

Nerea & Georgina (Valeria) I really wish Nerea and Georgina had more scenes together. Excellent chemistry and great kisses. Maybe next season if there is one.

Liv & Ash (Wilderness) I'm not a fan of the story, but Liv and Ash are hot together.

Emily & Cara (Castaways) Low budget, but that doesn't bother me. F/f romance on a desert island. What more could you want.

Mae & Sandy (Slip) Only one episode with them, but it was pretty good. And the scene at the beginning of the series is hot.

Cara & Lili (Erotic Stories) Also only one episode with them. It's called Erotic Stories for a reason. No complaints from me, except that I couldn't make gifs of most of the scenes. Tumblr would have flagged it right away.

Rosa & Marta (Hasta el cielo: La serie) I haven't watched the series so all I can say is that both women are hot and I enjoy their scenes. Normally, they probably wouldn't make it on this list, but there isn't much competition this year.

College AU where Aaliyah and Cruz help each other become better and fall in love in the process.

8. The Lost Mask aka The Sexy Treasure Hunter AU

Cruz and Aaliyah go on an adventure and fall in love.

9. Your Country Needs More aka The Speculative Futures AU

Joe uses Aaliyah to manipulate Cruz back into doing her bidding. Written before season 2 aired, so it was wild speculation.

10. First Date: Take Two aka The First Date AU

A fluffy take on Cruz and Aaliyah getting a second shot at getting things right.

11. Queen of the Sun aka The Warrior AU

The no plot, just vibes Cruz is an ancient warrior and falls in love with Aaliyah after being captured fic.

12. Announcement No. 746 aka The Mail-Order Bride AU

Historical fiction where Cruz is a mail-order bride and Aaliyah sugar momma's her way into her heart.

13. Once, We Were In Love aka The Last of the Mohicans AU

I made this transparent PNG the night he died in preparation for one of the many ways I was going to memorialize him--a surface rug in his likeness that I planned on laying directly in the line of his favourite sunbeam. And I uploaded that PNG here, because this is the website where people post their cats.

I was not expecting the reception I got. Many people have pointed out that this post has more reblogs than likes, and how insane that is in 2025 when reblog culture is at an all time low. I didn't even talk about the fact that Burger passed away in the original post, it wasn't a tearjerker reblog bait or anything like that. People just loved Burger that much, in the same way I fell in love with him at first sight. He was such an ugly kitten.

Anyways, it's really special to me that so many people have reblogged my best friend. I made this PNG to memorialize him in a completely different way, and you all wound up doing just that in ways I never even imagined.

Thank you. Wherever he is, I know the sun is shining.

All I can remember is that Emma ends up in the Enchanted Forest in the past and is captured by the Evil Queen. In the present, Regina is trying to locate Emma. I think Emma and Regina are already together in this fic, but I'm not sure. What I do remember is that the Evil Queen falls for Emma and doesn't want her to return to her own time because she wants her happy ending now rather than later. I also recall Regina communicating with the Evil Queen through a magic mirror (or maybe just glass?) and trying to convince her to help send Emma back. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

ALRIGHT!! PART ONE OF THE GARGOYLE AU (I really need to find a proper title for this comic series…) IS FINISHED 💥💥 I'll admit, again, this was a bit of a scary start! My no.1 goal is to just keep improving and creating bigger things and hopefully making this silly idea a whole series will help! I may be experimenting with it quite a bit sooooo I guess we're going to see how it goes ✨

(Also ignore the fact that I forgot the "t" in "against" 🥲 noticed it way too late)

Oh and btw I do have an ending for this story! Worry not I'm all about happy yuri but let's just say… This is going to be quite a ride!

In any case, have fun reading! :>

1. Slow down at emotionally important moments.

Big emotions need space to land. If a scene feels rushed, pause the plot briefly to show how the moment affects the character.

2. Add reactions, not explanations.

Instead of explaining what a character feels, show it through physical responses, hesitation, or small actions that reveal emotion naturally.

3. Ground every scene in the senses.

If a scene feels thin, add one or two sensory details—sound, texture, smell, or temperature—to make the moment feel lived-in.

4. Let thoughts interrupt action.

A line of internal thought can deepen a scene without slowing it too much. Thoughts show stakes, fear, longing, or conflict beneath the action.

5. Expand consequences, not events.

You don’t need more things to happen—you need to show what matters. Focus on how events change relationships, decisions, or self-perception.

6. Strengthen setting where emotion peaks.

The environment should echo or contrast the emotion of the scene. Setting is not decoration—it’s emotional reinforcement.

7. Add specific details instead of general ones.

Underwriting often relies on vague language. Swap “they argued” for one sharp line of dialogue or a specific breaking point.

8. Let dialogue breathe.

Short dialogue exchanges without pauses can feel flat. Add beats—silence, gestures, interruptions—to give the conversation weight.

9. Show transitions between scenes.

If scenes jump too quickly, readers feel disoriented. A brief transition helps establish time, mood, and emotional continuity.

10. Clarify stakes early in the scene.

If readers don’t know what can be lost, scenes feel empty. Make sure the character wants something specific and fears losing it.

11. Use the “what are they feeling right now?” check.

After each major beat, ask what emotion is dominant in that moment. If it’s missing on the page, the scene is likely underwritten.

12. Expand scenes that feel “too clean.”

Wednesday: *scoffs* I wouldn’t be caught dead wasting time on something so mundane as a jigsaw puzzle, let alone one with 5,000 pieces.

Enid: Even if it’s of H.H. Holmes’ infamous Murder Castle?

Wednesday: …

– Hours later. –

Bianca: *walks up* A puzzle, Addams? How very normal of—

Wednesday: *knife already out* If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.

This is super strange but Netflix released two versions of the agreement and they're slightly different from each other.

In the now deleted Netflix House instagram post the agreement looks like this:

But on the Netflix House Facebook account the post is still live (at the time of writing) and it looks like this:

The main thing that stands out is that this sentence, "Neither roommate is required to admit they care about the other," is no longer a footnote and is instead listed with the rest of the rules.

Not only that, but Wednesday herself, using the black pen, has underlined the part that says "they care about the other."

Interesting choice ... not very subtle, Wednesday.

Once again Miss Nonchalance is outed as a fake idgaf-er by herself. You just know Enid would notice too.

Plus, I completely forgot to comment on the Bi Pride colours next to Enid's name in my first post, but you know I'm going to point them out this time!

Faith deciding to do the right thing while she’s in Buffy’s body because she wants to feel what it would be like to actually be Buffy and even if she’s not actively pretending to be Buffy in the moment Buffy would do the right thing so Faith is going to do the right thing while in Buffy’s body and you expect me to be normal??????????

After they switch their bodies back there’s a few moments where they can feel each other’s emotions like their own and you expect me to be normal??????????????????

Buffy punching Faith hard enough that her lip bleeds and Faith smiles and says “there’s my girl” and I’m supposed to be normal?????????????

Faith is supposed to represent all of Buffy’s repressed desires and feels a longing for something that she can’t name every time she’s around Faith (read somewhere that those were the notes given to smg for season 3) and I’m supposed to be normal????????????????????

Buffy had already died and come back once, had her boyfriend lose his soul after having sex with her and tormented her and her loved ones for months after, was kicked out of her home by her mom just for being herself, and a million other things and yet the person who’s made her feel the most vulnerable is Faith and I’m supposed to be normal????????????????????????????

Every single guy Faith showed an interest in is connected to Buffy (usually romantically) and you expect me to be normal??????????????????????????????????????????
