When Wednesday accepted she had always had feelings for Enid, her mind raced. Ten years of emotions clawed their way through the shared quarters, wolf bond, and private moments. She catalogued every lingering glance, every brush of fingers, every time Enid’s laugh had loosened something inside her chest she had long believed atrophied. The question that followed was worse: did Enid feel the same, or was she simply…being Enid?
The arcade outing had been Enid’s idea, of course. Yoko and Divina added to the energetic chaos while Wednesday claimed the corner booth. She sat there with a book opened in her hands, yet she hadn’t turned a page in 20 minutes.
“You really have it bad for her, don’t you?” Yoko appeared without warning, smirking, fangs on full display as she caught her staring.
Wednesday’s eyes flicked down and noticed her book was upside down. She snapped it shut with a sharp click. “I have no idea what you are talking about.”
Yoko chuckled. “Right, right…Wednesday Addams doesn’t do feelings.”
“Correct.” She pushed the book away with finality.
“Then why have you been staring at her every 3 seconds?” Yoko questioned, grabbing a fry and sniffing it.
“I have offered Enid no such attention,” Wednesday said coldly.
Yoko’s grin widened wickedly. “I never said her name.”
Wednesday’s glare could have withered stone. The tip of her knife found Yoko’s kneecap beneath the table before the vampire could blink. “Speak another word, and I will redecorate this booth with your intestines.”
“Whoa! How’d you get that past…you know what, never mind…this just gave me an idea…” Yoko smirked.
Wednesday narrowed her eyes. “Speak.”
“Well, you know Enid is a…more action less words kinda girl right?” Yoko nudged as Wednesday just sat there glaring…
Yoko sighed, “You need to show her how you feel! I’ve seen you trying to get her to see it but you have to be more direct…” She continued, “Listen, later tonight, you’re gonna send her a nice message like: I had a nice time today, wish you’d come home with me or something along those lines and then I don’t know, maybe…send her a pic that would catch her attention.”
Wednesday frowned, “A picture?”
Yoko huffed in frustration, “Yes! A picture…mmm like a mirror selfie but make it…spicy!”
“Spicy…” Wednesday repeated curious, “Does that mean…”
“Yes! The kind that makes her forget how to breathe.” Yoko chuckled, imagining Enid’s face. “It’s the fastest and most direct way to…catch her attention. Trust me.“ Yoko reassured as she saw confusiones etching on Wednesday’s face. Also, sorry for interfering but I just…feel you need a push in the right direction.”
“And you think I would take advice from you?” Wednesday snapped, narrowing her eyes.
Yoko raised her hands in fake exasperation, “Hell yeah! I’ve got a girlfriend and you’re just sitting here staring at the girl you’ve wanted since God knows when!”
Wednesday frowned, nodded in understanding and ended the conversation.
The rest of the outing passed in a haze. Enid danced and laughed, bright and free under the flashing lights. Wednesday watched, mind already turning like clockwork…
Back in her apartment, Wednesday did her usual perimeter check and walked around the room. As she stepped into the kitchen, the magnetic strip of knives on the wall gleamed under the low light and an idea formed in her head…Her most beautiful, dangerous possessions would serve as her canvas...
She undressed slowly, then positioned herself in front of them, inspecting herself in the reflection. The largest cleaver, polished to a mirror finish, became her focal point. She angled her body carefully and began to take picture after picture...
She took several shots until the composition satisfied her. The chosen photo was lethal in its restraint.
Her thumbs hovered over the message thread.
W.A.: Evening, Enid. I was told it is appropriate to send a short message expressing how I felt today.

At first, she saw only the row of gleaming knives, beautiful, deadly, so very Wednesday. Then her eyes adjusted…the reflection. That body…
Pale skin. The elegant line of a collarbone leading down to full breasts, one nipple tastefully obscured by the cleaver’s hole, while the other curved softly in the reflection. The cleaver’s wide blade framed the smooth expanse of Wednesday’s toned abs, past the dip of her belly button, all the way to the shadowed promise just above her hips... Her face wasn’t visible, but Enid had a feeling she knew exactly what she was doing…

Wednesday smirked in the dark, the ghost of a genuine smile tugging at her mouth as she read the reply. She set the phone down on the counter as her job was now done. She walked to the living room, sat on her favorite armchair, still completely nude, and waited, pulse thrumming with anticipation…
