barbie has stayed relevant through a constant cycle of new doll lines, video games, shows, spinoffs etc. there has been a barbie for every period of humanity for 6 decades now. no one under the age of 30 knows or cares about he-man, and it's hilarious that everyone involved thought this would work

the only thing from this property that managed to capture the zeitgeist since the original show ended is the she-ra netflix reboot, and that's because they basically reinvented the property to tell a compelling story that fit the sensibilities of 2010's cartoon narratives. the people that keep rebooting he-man every decade are like "what if we just did the same thing again. surely it'll work this time" and then are surprised when it doesn't
