Idate’s also just plain ass broke. The only thing he really buys is cigs. He doesn’t have a home, he catches all his food, he gets water from his food– He has no need for money other than his sweet addiction.

Plus, it’s fun to push the devil’s buttons~

“What’s ‘cute’ is your attitude.”

Idate’s completely unphased by the hard jab to his side. This may be a devil he’s dealing with, but Idate enjoys fighting the strong along with the weak. He’s not saying it’s a guarantee win, but he is saying it’ll be a close match.

Idate grabs Satanick’s wrist and pries it from his side, giving him a cheeky kiss to the back of his hand. “Shall we go, ‘daddy’?”

“You’ve got a cute little attitude too if you think could beat me.”

Overconfident? Very. He knew the orca was strong but he was the DEVIL. The strongest devil around he likes to call himself. There’s no way he would let a fish beat him...buuut he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t interested in fighting his good buddy. Just to see how they matched up.

He laughed at the kiss and used his free hand to smack the whale’s behind.

Don’t worry, Satanick, Idate knows exactly why you’re here and what you’re up to. He’ll turn it into a game of wits as he changes the subject time and time again.

The orca grins at his friend’s words. At least he knows when to make a tactful retreat. The orca stands and shoves his hands into his pockets, thinking a bit. They could go to that little food stand they went to before. Or perhaps he should make the devil spend a pretty penny for teasing him so relentlessly.

“Why don’t we change things up a bit and go somewhere expensive. Provided, you cover the bill, of course~ All this mistreatment has made me rather starving,” he hums threateningly.

Satanick couldn’t help but snort at his words. Now he didn’t mind spending a little extra cash. Not like it affected him, but really? He was going to threaten him? Well then two could play at this game...

“Are you threatening me Idate? Aww, that’s cute.”

He purred, his grin turning more sinister as he jabbed his nail harder into his side.

“It does?” She asked, that’s weird, hows that work? Oh well it didn’t matter if she understood, now that her interest was back on the stethoscope when he finished washing it and passed it to her.

“The sucker?” It was just wishful thinking as Mafuyu placed the stethoscope on as he saw him do it and put the circular bit on the bed she sat on- then the wall, then her leg-

   “Mhm. When you hold your breath your heart beat slows down, and it makes it hard to check.” He explained, still staring at the wall as he tried to remember what came next. He laughed at her question and shook his head, “Not yet. But I have a sucker for you when you’re done, promise!” 

Idate doesn’t move an inch as his side is assaulted by a pristine gloved finger, blowing smoke in the devil’s face. He will say never and he’ll mean it.

“So nothing’s new.” Despite how much Satanick prides himself in his wife and kids, realistically, he has a pretty shitty marriage. All the more reason not to get married in Idate’s eyes. He finally tosses his spent cig into the snow, contemplating immediately lighting another one. “You said you’re here to catch up, but this is hardly a place to catch up. Shall we relocate to a more suitable hang out, or will you continue pestering me with romantics for fun?”

   The smoke didn’t have to much of an effect on him except for making it a bit tricky to aim his fingers. After how many times his brother had done the same thing to him, he’s gotten used to it.

   “Pestering? I would never!”

He joked, but he did finally stop poking him. This trip was mostly just about teasing the other, but he was curious to see how his friend was doing.

The pups face lit up being promised a try with the weird tool, now she definitely had to be strong and solid like mama so Yukisada wouldn’t change his mind. The seal took a deep breath and held it in- for some reason thinking that would make her more imposing with the stethoscope.

“Yup! Perfectly healthy!” She confirmed, though Yuki could figure out she was just agreeing with his diagnosis.

   Yuki chuckled and placed the stethoscope down. “Healthy as can be, but next time try not to hold your breath. It makes it a little hard to hear your heartbeat.”

   He moved back to the sink and, just as he promised, cleaned off the stethoscope and gave it to her to play with.

Idate wrestles his pack of cigs and lighter out of his suit and lights up, taking a few much needed puffs. He really isn’t much of a stress smoker, but if his pal insists on torturing him like this, he’ll need his whole damn pack and then some. He can feel Satanick’s joy burning into him, smoke billowing from his mouth and nose as he tries to compose himself.

If he didn’t know any better, Idate would swear he’s talking with his mother with how the devil insists on poking his nose into the orca’s romantic life. “I’ll never find the right person and I prefer it that way.” He isn’t being a negative Nancy about it, he just prefers his freedom. Besides, no one can handle his deranged ass.

He eyes Satanick suspiciously before blowing a huge cloud of smoke from his mouth. Did marrying a couch count? That’s forbidden knowledge, however. “I’m still delightfully single, let alone married.” Well, single but kind of dating himself? But also not dating himself? Bah. “How’s the wife and kid?”

   A gloved hand lightly waved away at the smoke billowing in his face. In all honesty he didn’t give a damn if the orca got a mate or not. More power to him either way, he just liked seeing the guy get flustered. He slid up back closer to the other, poking playfully at his side.

   “Never say never, Idateeee~”

   After his question though he’ll take a break on egging him, mostly just for the excuse to talk about his family.

   “Ah y’know, same as usual. Wife’s still hot and my kids are going through their rebellious stages!” 

THAT FUCKER IS GOING AROUND PARADING FALSE NEWS?!!!

Idate has never been more livid, yet nauseous in all his life. His cig is quickly forgotten as he stares Satanick in the face, a cold sweat beginning to form on his skin. Why does that bastard insist on ruining his fucking life with this shit. He clearly declined every advance they’ve ever thrown at him; ESPECIALLY the ring! (Okay, there was that one date, but it was only for the free food and booze.)

If he wasn’t such good pals with Satanick, he would of punched that grin off his face the moment he opened his mouth. “You may enjoy the married life, but I sure as fuck wouldn’t. I refuse to be tied down. If this is all you came here for, you can fuck off.”

   His childish grin morphed into a mischievous smirk. He shouldn’t enjoy seeing his friend in distress this much, but it was just so bizarre seeing him look so frazzled. It was fascinating! He wondered just how many buttons of his he could push with this information before Idate would get angry.

   “Hey now, don’t be so negative about it! You don’t feel stuck if you’re with the right person!”

   In his case the right person being just as perverted as he is and never around much, but that’s besides the point.
