I don't say any of this to excuse it. I think everyone needs to be more aware of this because if you think abuse has to be intentional you will never realize you are capable of abusive behavior. You will never realize you are being shitty to the people you love, because YOU know what you mean, YOU know you don't mean any harm. But you're doing harm. You need to pay attention to the impact you have on other people, and you need to do it all the time, Especially when you feel least capable of doing so. Sorry! You live in a society. A second city has been built

what jumped out at me was a city at the red circle with a smaller one nearby at the yellow one. possible trade routes highlighted (you might have to zoom in to see the yellow circle, it's where the red and yellow routes meet)

Tentative plans for main trunk line and secondary lines.

4 rail companies have been established based off of these plans

A new city, born out of trade opportunities between the already established cities and train routes.

Have you considered a city where the red circle is? Much like Paris? Possible rail routes drawn, altho the purple rail could also come from the junction to the south near City 1. Farmland could come on either side of this new city's river.

Ferry services have been established to connect some cities more directly than by rail and as a result of the industry brought by rail, numerous cities have begun to expand as well
