a look into the three month roadtrip the members and i take through the united states! do we know where we’re going? no. do we know where we’re staying? no. do we have a plan at all? not quite. does good music come out of it? doesn’t it always?

and you said "hey do you wanna see the west with me? ‘cause love’s out there and i can’t leave it be." the idea for this roadtrip came about a few days before finishing our last few schedules in spring of 2026. our whole summer was free so during dinner one night we talked about what we could do either separately or together, and that’s when we all landed on the idea of a roadtrip. we’d all talked about wanting to travel around the states together before but at different times in our careers. our tours had allowed us to see many different states but nothing deeper than surface level. we wanted to learn about communities, explore different places, try new foods, and hear about peoples experiences first hand. other times it always came down to tight scheduling so this time it felt like the right time to do it. after finishing our schedules we took a few days to go over what we needed, wanted, and wanted to see. by the time we were on the road it felt nostalgic like getting out of school and immediately jumping into the pool when you got home to cool down except the current pool to cool us down was the amazing air conditioner in the two volkswagen vans we rented. we planned the first few cities to go to first then decided to spontaneously choose the next couple. we had backups just in case thanks to jay, but we wanted to feel free, not controlled by a constant schedule.
