Spiral Bind
Make a move.
Don't move.
Still a move,
Either way.
Loosen up.
Tighten up.
Still a screw,
Either way.
Back down.
Throw down.
Battle ground,
Either way.
Tap out.
Punch out.
Same fight,
Different day.
Binge Watch
We're in a room painted blue,
By the TV screen.
Now it's red, now it's white,
Now electric green.
Try to say something funny,
And it comes out mean,
But you get it, so you laugh,
And it's real and clean.
We're in a room painted grey,
By the TV screen.
You're my favourite show.
Roll credits.
End scene.
#DidYouKnow
That your jaw cocks to the right
When you're out of comebacks,
And that you rub your chin
When you've got a good one lined up?
That your words shrink in inverse
Proportion to the size of your feelings,
And that you smell the way a warm shower
After a long swim feels?
That between the broken stones of you,
And the soul sucking black mass of me,
We make some amazing fucking tarmac?
'Cause I knew that.
Did you?
Just took a bubble bath for the first time ever
Now I know why people kill themselves in bathtubs. Shit's relaxing as fuckkkkk

Mind The Gap
You know which one.
Between sending them a song, And singing them one.
Between fixing their hair, And being the reason itās tousled.
Itās the biggest inch youāve ever seen, This gap.
The one between wanting a hug
And settling for the warmth of proximity.
Shoutout to all the songs that got me through a rough patch, but I no longer listen to because they helped, but they also remind me of all the reasons I needed them in the first place. :-\
I haven't really made #brownies before, so of course I decided to try at 10:00 PM on a #Sunday. #baking PS: Watch in HD, or suffer in grainymaxx hell. :P
Just curious to know whether anyone other than my friends enjoy these videos. :)
Get you a bestie who keeps a folder of pics of your pets.
Even the ones that died before she met you.

Everyone is born with a phobia of what will eventually kill them. People who will die in a crash are afraid of cars, people who will die in a fall are afraid of heights, etc. But no one can explain what youāre afraid of.
I was scared. All my friends knew what their phobia was⦠they knew how theyād die. Spiders, the dark, small spaces, they all knew. I did not and the thought of that terrified me more than anything. The mere idea of not knowing how it would happen made me tremble and it made me unable to face the day. Death was all I thought about. Day in and day out. Iād been fired from my job because of this one thought that kept bothering me. Then one day it hit me. It had really ruined my life. I was afraid of being afraid and that was exactly what was killing me. It was a slow and painful death filled with so much sorrow and hate. As i drew my last breath, i kept thinking āman i wish it would have been spiders insteadā.

My Uber Was Arriving
Brace ya'selves, this is a long-ass post. This evening, when Iām superbly delayed on my way home by 2 random girls who took advantage of an Uber driverās reluctance to cancel a booking and took over 10 mins to get to the damn cab, I canāt help thinking about all the different types of people Iāve met via public transport. 1) The random girl on the road, who I asked for directions on my 3rd day of work, who walked me all the way to the right bus stop to get home, and then told me of all the different spots I could catch a shared auto. 2) The random men whoāve felt me up in cramped shared auto/ cabs (pre-UberPool era).
3) The (only) shared cab driver who threw one of the aforementionedā guys out of the cab when he heard our raised voices, and then drove a solid 5 Kms out of his way to drop me at my doorstep instead of at his usual stop.
4) The random stressed guy in a shared auto who badly needed to get to the Ameerpet gurudwara and whose phone was dead, so I mapped it for him on mine and when I discovered I didnāt have small change to pay the auto as we disembarked, he walked back to me -he was halfway across the road- and paid the fare. It was like 25 bucks, but it was SUCH a nice gesture. I mean have you seen Ameerpet? I would abandon my child if they didnāt keep up with me while crossing that shit.
5) The strange man who split auto fare with me because we were both confused about bus routes and running late and he reflexively said ātext when you reachā when he got off at his spot and we both laughed because we didnāt even know each othersā names and thatās the exact same line I say to my friends when I see them off.
6) The strange old lady who was standing in my blind spot and scared the living daylights out of me by suddenly grabbing my hand while crossing the Greenlands road. She was super sweet while I held her hand and we slowly crossed together, thanking me profusely and saying that people almost never help her cross the road, and that traffic terrified her. Until we made it across and I let go of her hand to wave at a male friend who was waiting there. Then she turned all Judgey McJudgerson and glared at us.
7) The impeccably dressed, talkative, middle aged lady in an UberPool, who turned out to be a professional baker. We ended up swapping phone numbers and I occasionally text her pictures of random shit that Iāve baked. Sheās very sweet and encouraging even though Iām not sure she actually remembers who I am.
8) The bus conductor who was making everyone laugh, on an impossibly crowded and hot RTC bus, the other day, simply by feigning comically exaggerated pain at having to squeeze past so many people and acting like an IED had blown his leg off when someone accidentally stepped on his foot, instead of snapping at them.
9) The gigantic, scruffy looking Uber cabbie named George who, after dropping off a girl at NIFT, with no preamble, turned to me and in perfect English said, āAll the girls at NIFT are so well dressed. I know itās a design college, but still⦠Just so many smartly turned out people in one placeā¦ā And said absolutely nothing else other than āhave a good day, Ma'amā at the end of the trip.
10) The slightly terrifying time a non-Uber/Ola shared cab dropped me home and the driver said āmain cab wala nahin hoon. Merko nahin malum ye kiski gaadi hai. Bas service center se wapas leke jaarum. Raste mein sawari mila toh main bitha detun. Lolz.ā [Iām not a cab driver. I donāt know whose car this is. Iām just driving it back from the service center. If I come across people looking for a cab on my way around, I take them on.] Well he didnāt SAY āLOLZā, but his fuckinā face did!
Amaze no, this list is? You can blame my 2 co-passengerās for delaying us all and confining me to a cab for 1.5 hours, thus giving me enough time to remember, write, edit, number and post this essay answer to a question that nobody asked. š
The skeleton isnāt inside us, weāre the brain so weāre inside the skeleton
This has got me fucked up.

Me: Everything changed when the Procrasti Nation attacked.

I want to die a quick, painless death to this 32 minute track.
Do you see my problem?
Do you ever sometimes read a book/ series of books and get super attached to the characters, to the point that it takes a while for you to let yourself get all up in another book? Like I'm still not over the last book I read, and I want to hold on to the characters and stuff a little bit longer before relegating them to memory and moving on to the next book.
