Dead on Revival

We join a group of 6 mis-matched friends in JP’s bar, near the waterfront, in the Purrough, Borthliss.

The group is preparing to engage in some exciting karaoke, with exciting traditional fantasy ballads, like Firework, and Bohemian Rhapsody, when a young man bursts in to the bar screaming for someone named Griffin.

Our party member, Gryphon, understandably confuses this young man’s shouts as an attempt to gain his attention and approaches him, discovering his name to be Ival Endicott - of the Endicott family, widely known as an eccentric and somewhat inappropriate family of sorcerers and wizards - and his distress to be the result of his cat, Saul, being abducted by Ival’s cousin, Thea.

After some mishaps, including the young Drow, Krit, attempting to steal what he assumed was Ival’s purse and subsequently getting knocked the fuck out by the monk, Corianthe, the party heads toward the Alchemist’s District further inland where Thea keeps a small lab for her magical experiments.

The party conducts a stealthy infiltration of the building, lead by the sneaky Edward, Krit’s twin brother, and discovers Thea in the process of conducting a ritual involving the tiger, Saul.

After Corianthe throws a flash-bomb that blinds and deafens Thea, the group totally wail on her and end the encounter by hog-tying her while she screams and sobs the same word over and over in Draconic, as identified by both Gryphon and Eibhearon. Eibhearon posits that she’s either saying “Master” in the sense of “master and apprentice” or “grandfather” in the literal familiar sense.

We end with a restrained, if not subdued, Thea, a confused party of six, and a cat in a cage.
