Finally got to making my Vento Aureo ship chart!
I didn't bother marking any of my "Nope" ships bc there are unfortunately too many, just know they include any and all proships.
Any other ships I didn't mark I just don't have much strong opinions on.
I added the "lowk depends" bit because sometimes it really does just depend lol! Even though I didn't mark it, Risotto x Melone would be an "It depends" ship because it never came to my mind as a ship until I saw cute fanart for it. I think for me it depends on the application and how the relationship is portrayed, and my opinion comes after that. I like seeing new ships to get my mind turning lol

(crossposted from my ao3)
My headcanons on every little detail of Illuso’s stand, Man In The Mirror. I find his stand to be one of the most interesting ones out of La Squadra, and surprisingly under utilized due to how little screen time all of La Squadra gets. I’m mostly just making this for funsies and in case I decide to use these made up headcanons in my future fanfictions.
Although this is largely just me spitballing random ideas on what I personally think, I’ll still be basing most of my assumptions off of what dialogue and actions we see in the anime and the stand profile in the original manga. If I make any major changes to canon (only one really) I will do my best to point them out right after. I might also be including headcanons on La Squadra member interactions and personalities, especially Illuso himself.
The mirror world extends to a few hundred meters of ground, with the original mirror entrance at the center. So there is a limit to how far one can travel in the mirror world based on their original point of entry. At this border, I personally imagine a black void blocked by an impassable barrier. Not even Illuso can get past this “barrier” as it is the limits of his stand’s ability.
You can think of the mirror worlds created here more like pocket dimensions created by Man In The Mirror itself, not a preexisting realm of existence only accessible by Man In The Mirror. If the latter were true, Giorno, Abbachio, and Fugo would have still been there after Illuso’s death. Because when Illuso and his stand were killed, all of its effects were undone. This including the creation of the mirror world. So while Polnareff can tease Kakyoin about the whole “no such thing as a mirror world,” Kakyoin is still technically correct in the fact that there really isn’t one. It was just created at the time of Man In The Mirror existing. high fives kakyoin and hits the griddy while polnareff sobs on the floor
The nature of the mirror world, being a “Realm of Death” where no living thing exists unless Illuso allows it permission to enter by dragging it in, applies to every single living microorganism or anything with life energy like a stand. This includes viruses and bacteria. So although the mirror world is rightfully eerie and uncanny being devoid of life, it is a sterile environment that the team uses for medical prep and short-term recovery when necessary. However, living organisms existing within or on someone that Illuso drags in will be carried in. Illuso has to be aware of it to prevent it from entering, and removing or preventing it from entering is usually impossible because of the energy it would take to strip a whole body of every single microbe already on it. When leaving the mirror world infected with Purple Haze’s virus, he had to cut off his whole arm rather than waste energy and time to try and remove the virus from his body in a method other than amputation.
This “amputation method” can be used on victims, though it takes a bit more energy than simply dragging them or only parts of them through the mirror world.
Physical items and structures can only be moved by Man In The Mirror or Illuso. Physical items inside of the mirror realm cannot be taken out of it. Attempting to do so to make a duplicate of a physical item will leave Illuso only empty-handed. So theft and attempts to get two of a single item are impossible this way. If Illuso wants to steal something, he’ll have to retrieve it physically in the real world and carry it through the mirror world to a second location.
Changes or alterations made to the physical area in the mirror world will not reflect in the real world. Blood stains, objects being moved or destroyed, or even a dead body brought into the mirror world will not manifest in the real world. The same is not true for how physical damage is done in the real world, as then it will be reflected in the mirror world.
The laws of gravity and relativity still apply to the mirror world besides this.
Illuso can bring objects into the mirror world, including ones attached to a person’s physical form. The whole clothing attached to a body is where I differentiate from canon, as I find it a liiittle silly that clothes worn on the body in the mirror world are made of spiritual energy… like are you meaning to tell me everyone woulda been naked except Illuso doesn’t wanna get flashed so he takes care to give em clothes made outta spiritual energy? I just believe that Illuso gives the clothes and objects on the body full permission to enter as well by default, or that it’s something he doesn’t need to pay too much attention to detail on. Like if he saw a knife on someone’s belt, he could definitely be like “drag them in but leave the knife out” so THEN they’re defenseless. Illuso CAN be tricked, after all. His stand doesn’t give him a full stat list or overview of whoever the victim is, which is how he was tricked by Abbachio and Moody Blues and Giorno with the virus.
Dragging people into the mirror world takes energy. Dragging one person in is easy, but dragging several people in rapidly takes up too much energy. This usually disqualifies him from hits that require ambushes on large groups of people. How this exactly takes a toll on him, I like to imagine he gets really light headed and physically weak, and just becomes incapable of bringing anyone or anything between the mirror realms for a while.
However, only the action of bringing people in and out of the mirror world takes energy. Leaving or having people in the mirror world does not affect Illuso. Illuso can leave abducted targets to die of starvation/thirst, though he prefers to kill them himself. People can be kept inside of the mirror world for however long they can, so long as they have supplies to live off of. Basically a prison that only Illuso holds the keys to.
Illuso can freely go between the mirror world and the real world whenever he wants at no expense to his energy. Risotto always cautions him to reserve his ability only for when it is most needed. Risotto believes that a power like Illuso’s could lead him to getting too big in the head, so he does his best as a leader to stop Illuso from being too proud. Obviously doesn’t work out in the end.

"Cheating isn't part of the game… but things are bound to happen during one."
I am finnaly done with uni stuff for a while, so I decided to celebrate with some Stone Ocean drawing. And who would thought - using proper ref and shading can make your artwork better. Miraschon was first, you can expect other two meangirls with proper pose soon. And of course other secondary antagonists are in plans too.

The brief glimpse of the alternate Jolyne we see in Pucci's temporary "ideal universe" has always intrigued me, because it's literally the universe mishmashing a new Jolyne and Jotaro that weren't real Joestars to fill in the gaps their dead souls left behind when Pucci killed them. I've seen some people call her "Wasplyne" or "Beelyne". For fun I wanted to make more alternate designs for Jolyne.
I have most of the design aspects for each one planned out but if you have something you'd like to see for each one, lmk!
(You can tell I'm struggling with the club suit Jolyne at the end there lol)
Brother: "I'm still so mad that Mista is my favorite character, I hate his crop top and weird clashing patterns, why does he dress like that."
Me: "Well have you looked at fanart? Lots of artists change his outfit-"
Brother: "Yeah that's not the only thing they change. Sweet mercy."
This is a redraw of an older Jolyne piece! I wanted to see how fast I could draw something since I usually take a while with my digital pieces. I wish I could have done better, definitely rushed it, but it was mostly to practice a new brush.
While drawing I was thinking a lot about Jolyne and Stone Free. The parallels of her and Jotaro in the whole prison thing in the start of their stories is obvious, but I don't see many people go over how they reacted to their stands. Jotaro put himself in prison because he was afraid of what Star Platinum could do and potentially harm his family, thinking it was an evil spirit. Jolyne was straight up horrified when her body just started acting on its own and turning into string, suddenly allowing her to hear things in different rooms and reach for objects. The way Stone Free grabbed the money for Jolyne is reminiscent of SP finding objects for Jotaro he liked and couldn't get in prison- classic instances of stands acting in the interest of their users subconsciously.
I often wonder how she thought of herself with this ability once she got more used to it. After all, her stand is unique in the fact that it makes up her entire body. She had no one to teach her about stands in the beginning. Did she ever lie awake at night wondering if she was even human anymore?
Like Bucciarati, for comparison, had to punch himself with Sticky Fingers to put zippers on himself. Jolyne with Stone Free is just made of string and can just do that!
It's what I really like about her ability because she can pull off really cool long-range attacks, yet there's a risk of literally stretching herself too thin if she uses too much string. But even that can be utilized as a good thing, like when she avoided being "donutted" by F.F. in their battle. I don't see enough people talking about that lmao.
Anyway, just me yammering a bunch. Can you tell that I like Stone Ocean?
I found an account that steals and reposts artists' works with no credit, just be wary
They steal videos from creators, some who aren't on tumblr like Astridmations, and repost them with zero credit. It's a miracle if watermarks make it through. When confronted about reposts they delete comments and reply that they're helping "spread publicity" for the artists. Kind of hard to do that with no credit and ignoring how some probably don't want their works reposted, huh?

Okay lets go into a deeper dive about La Squadra characters after my lil yap about Bucci Gang/La Squadra and who would cry watching a sad dog movie LMAO
If y'all think I'm wrong about any of them, please do tell me, I do like being proven wrong because it helps me see the characters better! <3
The post <3
This will mostly be me talking about how I see their character, I am not going to sugar coat it LMAO
Warning - Talks of Insecurity, Anxiety, Child abuse, Self Harm, IED, ASPD, Torture... I think that's it LMAO Oh and OBV spoilers for Part 5 As a whole
Word Count - 3600... Yeah I'm not kidding, AND THATS ME BEING BRIEF LMAO
⟢ Illuso -
I genuinely do think this man is incredibly insecure to the point where he isolates himself, the entire point of his stand is an isolated reflection of the world that ONLY he has control of.
He masks his insecurity with that cocky overconfident dick façade but we see consistently in his arc that he is paranoid and freaks out when he's outsmarted by both Abbacchio and Giorno.
I think he is so scared of not being in control of how things play out or how people see him that it makes him terrified, usually leading him to think he's going to be either abandoned or distrusting other people's intentions.
This absolutely would show through his interaction with his team, I could be wrong (I've checked the episodes but if I've missed something and anyone cares please correct me!) that he's the only one we don't see interacting with the rest of the team (bar once with Ris.)
In the restaurant it's only Prosciutto, Pesci, Formaggio and Melone. In the church after Sorbet + Gelato's funeral we see him all the way in the back by himself as well and he is the first to leave.
The only time we see him with the team is when Sorlato are killed and he does not interact with anyone but Risotto and is usually in the back of every scene. It happens so often that it feels purposeful.
He puts on such a performance of being this confident, collected asshole that I think he's trying to make himself fall for his own act too because he hates who he is as a person so deeply and keeps isolating himself so that people can't get close enough to leave when they see those ugly parts of him.
Because in his eyes If he keeps his flaws so deeply buried then no one can use them to hurt him.
But he also shows himself to be incredibly cruel and capable of intense malice, wanting to torture and kill Bucci gang himself and being excitable and grinning while he's fighting... A lil weird of him but, he is an assassin after all. None of them are good people.
⟢ Pesci -
Okay so it is SO obvious that Pesci has a lot of insecurity and anxiety, which most likely stems from some kind of childhood trauma, as well as long periods of isolation to the point that he has a deep need to make a connection to someone.
Which is why he becomes so attached to Prosciutto, it would make sense that either he protected him in some way or saved him and took him in and that attachment formed instantly out of that kindness.
Which also makes sense for how he initially even became an assassin with such deep rooted passivity. And in turn made him so unhealthily attached to Prosciutto that his mind formed a deep bond that is not particularly reciprocated.
I do NOT believe him to be childlike, nor I do not think that he is regressing either.
I think that when he gets those high spikes of paranoia and insecurity it makes him feel like he did as a child and that it makes him react in similar ways that he would have in his childhood due to him never having a way to learn to react in other ways because his brain keeps connecting the two situations.
I heavily dislike the infantilisation of Pesci because it puts people with childhood trauma that react in similar ways under such negative stigma, all because a character is extremely anxious.
In the train fight we see that even when he's panicked he still is willing to do what needs to be done, even if it doesn't end in the way that he expects it to, becoming incredibly paranoid and stressed/apologising to de-escalate the situation after doing badly or messing up, which is a reaction usually found in child abuse victims.
The dependency that he has is obviously a very toxic relationship, not only being humiliated and degraded by Prosciutto and even some of the other members of the team pretty often and even being struck by Prosciutto but Pesci also accepts it because his entire being revolves around being good enough for someone that he looks up to so heavily.
And of course Prosciutto knows this, he chooses to keep Pesci around because not only does he have potential but he knows that he's easily controlled.
⟢ Ghiaccio -
Okay so I feel most people HC that Ghiaccio has autism, he shares a lot of traits with how he acts and more importantly reacts to stimuli. But as someone who isn't autistic I'm going to talk about his traits themselves rather than the entire spectrum.
To add onto this while I was looking up more about his anger I actually saw a few people bring up that he could have IED - Intermittent explosive disorder
Intermittent explosive disorder - recurrent episodes of impulsive, aggressive, and violent behaviour that is disproportionate to the triggering situation.
Which honestly? Makes a lot of sense, no I am not diagnosing him, but it is a very similar to how and also explains WHY he acts the way he does, and it is usually caused from internalising disorders like anxiety/depression.
He has obvious extreme anger issues, usually to very niche things, metaphors and language that we see but this most likely is a wide net of things, probably to things he has an interest in or doesn't understand, like metaphors and most likely to an extent, sarcasm and convoluted or stupid jokes because he takes things literally.
BUT ALSO, we can see that he is TRYING to regulate himself before and though the anger, the sweating, the desperate rambling to explain WHY he is angry.
He does NOT have a good outlet for that anger in any way, breaking things and even hitting his own ice cocoon when he's on top of the the car, I'm not going to say it's a form of self harm but I don't think it necessarily isn't either.
I think that when he's so mad that he's choosing to hit something that can't break rather than something that can, and knowing that it's hurting him is a choice he makes intentionally. He isn't stupid. I think he might be using the pain as a way to try to ground himself.
He is incredibly intelligent, I'm not here to gush about how smart he was to make his own filtering system but it does show such high intelligence for not only his own stand but how it works scientifically, he is also incredibly quick on his feet even during those spikes of anger.
But I think he believes himself to be so unlikable and unstable as a person that he refuses to let people get close enough to have their own opinion of him other than the grating anger and outbursts.
It's why we also only ever see him in solo missions and also just alone in general, not only his stand is very Isolated and works better alone. (Other than the few times they're in the safehouse all together with the team, and the majority of the time he either isn't speaking or is angry.)
But because anyone that gets in the way of him is in danger of being in between him and his erratic, uncontrollable anger even outside of combat.
⟢ Melone -
Before I get into this I know some people are gonna assume I'm a prude or some BS so I'm going to say RN, I could NOT care less what kinks or fetishes this man could have, but the way people act like he's a complete freak for the little we even see of him annoys me to no end because they reduce him to nothing but a sex toy ALL because people refuse to actually look at a character through the bare minimum.
And I am SICK of it... I HATE mischaracterisation and I am sick of every Melone fic being "Yep he is a freak that's it." Like cool... He's just a one dimensional character to some of y'all I guess...
Yes he is capable of being a freak or enjoying sex but he is NOT just a toy for your own fantasies and I'm so over it lmao.
Okay so rant aside...
First things first, I have actually been thinking A LOT about babyface and I am actually about to get really into it, we are going to take his stand fully out of the equation for a second and I will bring it up later.
The 2 things Melone does that are "Freaky" are licking Anita, and staring at the woman's legs (and licking his lips.) I am not here to say he isn't a little weirdo because he kinda still is, but only for the second one. Bruno also licks Giorno as well to find out information. Just like Melone does, we see that it isn't just for his own pleasure or want.
He analyses her.
The second one is 100% him just being weird, but I stand by that Melone gets NO bitches, I think he doesn't actually want that affection nor that sexual gratification because he doesn't really care. The fantasies he has are exactly that, fantasies. IDK where y'all jumped to this conclusion that he's a grade A freak from what we see cos I am going to disprove that right now. :3
And also he was looking at her legs not her feet, why do people keep giving him a foot fetish??
OKAY SO I LITERALLY JUST FACT CHECKED MYSELF. Bro isn't even looking at her legs, he literally just looks her up and down once and y'all ran with the foot fetish thing for... Some reason LMAO. IDK I think y'all are just projecting...
But lets talk about BabyFace. It isn't about impregnation, especially as a kink or sexually in the slightest, and I will give my reasoning.
He consistently speaks about people as what he sees them as. Data. He barely recognises Anita as a person but as information, but on top of this he is still actively polite to her the majority of the time. Every single thing he speaks to her about is collecting information he needs. He licks her to analyse her because (my mom brought up this point and we rewatched his scenes like 10+ times LMAO) he is tasting her sweat to see how healthy she is.
When you are scared you sweat more, it's her adrenalin making her sweat and he licks her palm, where you sweat from... It would make sense a LOT that he can actually taste her genetic material, he gets her blood type just by licking her skin. (Most likely either a weird fixation or more likely, because of his stand.)
He is not getting any pleasure out of her hitting him either, he is excited that she's healthy/strong and was quick to anger. And on top of this when Babyface hits the window by her it is NOT a show of domination in any way. It's to scare her.
And now for y'all being like... But Star... You forgot the Kama Sutra, no I didn't lets get into it.
The choice she makes isn't for his own pleasure, nor is it to be weird. It's once again analysing her choice to see something about her, personality or otherwise. Think like those little Inkblot tests. It's all data to him.
But also it's for the shock factor. Babyface's offspring thrives on negative and malevolent feelings to grow... That is the perfect way to rile them up and goad them into their anger, we can see he is not excited about it in anyway other than you guessed it... The data she gives.
Her not answering and panicking WAS the information that he needed, he did not need her to give a choice. It was all for scaring her and making her adrenalin spike. It was all just to Illicit that reaction
And for people that think the stand itself is weird and my point becomes invalid. I can explain that too. Because he is seeing these people as data. Information. Genetic material.
What is the living embodiment of all of a persons data?
A child.
And also!
In the train arc that was the first offspring that Baby face created, so either Melone has only just gotten his stand OR his experiments failed because he didn't have enough data for them to be successful.
But let's get on to how I think about his character as a whole, obviously I do not think he is just a freak, I think that he was a scientist.
He fixates on that people are nothing more than data, I think that he could and does have emotional attachments to people and his friends, he does show Sociopathic traits but he isn't a sociopath either, he shows lack of impulsiveness to not get Babyface to fight but does not really show remorse in any way either.
But he does show emotion, excitement and almost affection to the offspring.
I think that he does have little empathy but I don't think he is emotionless (As we see him reacting about Sorlato also.)
To him data is what make up people, and that is all that he sees them as. All that matters to him are the experiment and his theories being correct.
He's just a little fucking nerd <3
⟢ Prosciutto -
Okay so honestly Prosciutto is kinda difficult to work out because that I can really see he doesn't have many traits of mental illnesses in general. Yes he is insanely cruel and ruthless, and very uncaring about how many civilians die to finish the mission.
We see continuously that he does degrade Pesci but in the same breath wants to push him towards his potential, I don't think he's doing it out of complete cruelty in any way I think that he is trying to not only be strict but also lenient with him, in his own way. If it were anyone else I don't think he would be as polite nor as encouraging.
Which leads me to believe he was absolutely the one that saved and took Pesci in from whatever he went though.
But I also think this extremely cool, collected front is still just a façade, I don't think it's completely a lie, but I think he is way less of an overly strict asshole than he shows around his team, I think he feels more than he lets on.
Because he doesn't... actually one sec.
Okay I was going to say he shows no ASPD traits but I wanted to check myself and he actually does kinda show a few of those traits so lets get into it.
Lack of empathy and remorse, he does not SHOW any remorse nor empathy for the civilians that he kills/injures in the train, in his eyes it's a worthy sacrifice.
However he does have empathy for his own team which shows he isn't completely apathetic either. He also apologises and regrets that he calls Bruno unworthy of being Capo which proves that he is in some way willing to apologise and accept that he isn't right. What a king...
Need for stimulation/fearlessness, he puts his own life in danger for the mission and stays calm even when he is aging himself alongside the rest of the passengers, whether this is necessarily a need for thrill seeking we don't know.
But how he is as a character I don't really see that it is, even though he absolutely is fearless in most of the situations that he is placed into.
He does however follow orders to an intricate level which goes against ASPD as a whole, even if he dies all that matters to him is finishing the mission and killing Bucci Gang for Pesci to finish the job. No I do not think that he is either a Sociopath nor a Psychopath, but he does share some traits with ASPD as a whole.
In my opinion I think we get to see him as a base level and not as an depth as the other characters and I think that's intended, he wears that mask like his armour and keeps his feelings very deeply hidden.
⟢ Risotto -
Okay god... okay.
So obviously we see a lot of him being extremely methodical and calm in every single fight and scene that he is in. He never attacks or acts in impulse, it's always very well thought out before he ever makes a move, especially in the fight with Doppio. Because Doppio is being super passive and erratic and it makes Risotto wary to get in close with him.
Which is the correct choice that he makes, knowing that there is reason enough that he needs to keep his distance and exhaust him instead of fight or kill him outright.
But he also shows kindness and empathy to Doppio before he believes he's a stand user, not wanting to outright attack him and just politely asking him to show him the envelope. He is cautious but he isn't impulsive in any way.
I think this is the perfect moment to show his empathy alongside him staying the longest at Sorbet + Gelato's funeral because they were his team and he wanted to stay as long as he could.
I absolutely think that he promised he would avenge them there too, he may be extremely smart and careful with what he does and says but I think a LOT of people take this as a lack of care or empathy. But it's not that in the slightest.
He chooses not to go for Diavolo after Sorlato were killed because he knew that his team would die because of it. And he didn't want to lose the rest of them in the same way that he lost the others, so he chooses to come across as apathetic and give the order. For them.
But we also see that he has the capacity to be cruel, showing excitement to kill Doppio in his fight, which shows that he isn't just completely cold and emotionless as well, even if it's for a bad reason he was showing happiness.
But I think beneath all of that strong, collected and strict persona he shows to everyone, underneath is a man who has seen too much and been through so much and he can't bear the thought of losing more of his team. His friends. And then he does anyway.
I think he absolutely did not care about dying in that fight with Doppio so long as he took him with him. Even using Aerosmith to try to slaughter Doppio with him and also the choice to not return his iron to his body in hopes that Bucci Gang would catch him and finish what he couldn't.
I truly feel he is a very emotional person but he shoves it down so that he doesn't have to feel it in any capacity, at least not until he's alone. I don't think he would want to be seen as weak nor want to lose the persona that he hides behind.
⟢ Formaggio -
Okay so he is someone I'm not really great at I'm not going to lie, he kinda does just show his personality on his sleeve and I'm not sure how much I can really say about his character that isn't already obvious.
Ugh okay. So starting out strong with Formaggio putting his cat in a fucking wine bottle, incredibly cringe and cruel thing to do and I will never forgive him LMAO.
He is probably, other than the yano... The torture and murder. Probably the most normal personality wise, he is extremely laid back and just in general enjoying the banter between him and Narancia, well... It's mainly just him talking at Narancia lmao. But he's the only one of all of La Squadra (Except Risotto) that approaches his target directly and not even outright threateningly.
But he's cruel and sadistic and I think a lot of people overlook that a lot, they see him as just that kind of cocky, silly guy. But he is very outwardly cruel not only to Narancia but to animals too. The rats in the sewer, his cat, the spider. Because either he doesn't really have empathy for something he sees as lesser than himself or because he does genuinely enjoy to hurt other things. He had to get into this job one way or another.
I want to believe that he trapped his cat knowing someone would save it or it would save itself, however... I really don't think he did.
Not only that but getting it out would be terrible because the glass would break. So I think he put it in there with the expectation that he would just let it out when he gets home or that it would knock the bottle off and get itself hurt. Which both are insanely cruel... TO HIS OWN CAT.
I don't think he completely lacks empathy though, he shows disgust, hurt and shock after Sorbet and Gelato are killed, but also anger and annoyance to his own team for thinking that his stand is useless.
I feel the majority of the time he is a lot more relaxed and unbothered, I don't think he really gets the "Urge" to hurt something like Serial killers really get.
Yes he is a killer but he does show distain to gore a lot at the same time, I think his torture and cruelty is a reactionary thing, like his cat scratching him. Which OBVIOUSLY I am not condoning, but I don't think he just goes out to torture animals for funsies either, people though? Yeah he would.
He is NOT a good person and is absolutely capable of a lot more cruelty than a lot of the others are, I feel he is absolutely there for either missions like the one we saw with the car. Or for torture...
However because he still is empathetic and we see that he does in fact show a plethora of emotional responses, I think that all of those feelings and remorse that he pushes down or tries to ignore hurts him more than he lets on, most likely giving him a lot of insomnia or nightmares as a whole over the things that he does and continues to choose to do, especially in his anger.
