“Hey Erica I thought you said you didn’t use Tumblr anymore!” I also said I’d graduate college at twenty-one but I’m only graduating now at twenty-four so the lesson here is ‘Never believe anything I say’.

If you remember me at all you remember I was writing a Naruto fanfiction before I decided to abandon ship. Well that kept happening, and because I’m egotistical I basically made a concept art collection for it because I hate letting my readers imagine things incorrectly, as well as several fake screenshots that are in one of the chapters so I didn’t have to describe outfits.

Is this all childish and ridiculous? Absolutely. Is this also one of few sparks of joy I’ve had in what has been, without a doubt, the worst two years of my life therefore making it so while I do care, I don’t care all that much? Absolutely.

2 cans of sliced pears, drained

1/2 cup melted butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup oats

3tbsp flour

1/2 tsp salt

An Amount of pecans (to taste? I used something like a quarter cup)

Cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground ginger to taste

Preheat oven to 350

Put a layer of canned pears down on the bottom of a small casserole dish, then sprinkle cinnamon over that layer then put down another layer of pears and scatter pecans across the top.

In a medium bowl, melt butter and stir in brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Stir in the oats and flour and stir until the entire mixture is moist, then spread over the top of the pears.

Bake for ????? I think it was about 40 minutes? Until the layer of oats is crunchy and golden.
