It was an accident of course. Even without lightsabers involved, training gets kind of wild sometimes.

Leia was kind of terrified in the moment when she saw all the little blinking lights on his chest panel had gone dark for half a second, and then pretty embarrassed after he came to, and then terrified all over again when she realized that his suit was actually a life support system and oh no.

Anakin was mostly embarrassed tbh. Like, what an awkward way to announce, “By the way I’m on life support.” But later he actually finds it really funny.

(Leia thinks his tendency to turn the state of his health and life into a joke is a bit disturbing, but post-Alderaan, especially, she knows she’s got some unhealthy coping mechanisms of her own.)

The worst part is he’s not the only one. He’s not even the one who started it.

The Leia Organa jokes started in the Rebellion. If Leia ever finds out exactly who is behind them, she’s going to end them. But by this point they’ve become the common parlance of all the Rebel bases she’s served with, and tracking down their origin is basically impossible.

Anakin only picks them up post-Palpatine, but he picks them up with relish. It’s all “Leia Organa punched Darth Vader in the chestplate once and he said ‘Thank you’” and “When the Emperor goes to sleep, he does a security sweep for Leia Organa” and “Moff Tarkin could have escaped the Death Star but he stayed onboard because it was better than what Leia Organa would do to him.” (Actually, that last one might even be true.)

“Leia Organa was on Alderann when it was destroyed. Darth Vader fished her from the wreckage out of respect.”

Why would you apologize? These are majestic.

“The Emperor once offered Boba Fett one billion credits for a single lock of Leia Organa’s hair. Boba Fett refused because he has a sense of self-preservation.”

“When Leia Organa goes out she dresses up as Darth Vader to avoid the attention.”

“Leia Organa doesn’t fight battles. She accepts surrenders.”

“General Veers waited a full thirty minutes before entering Hoth base, just to be sure Leia Organa was gone.”

“Leia Organa wasn’t rescued on the Death Star. She rescued herself, and then she stuck around to rescue Han and Luke too.”

edit 1: anakin’s corruption happened after he turned to the darkside and became a sith—it is very much to do with the influence of a metaphysical malevolent force. his intention was always to save padmé, his love. and the gist of the story is that he lost her because the path he took to save her became the very thing that took her from him.

he didn’t become a dictator, he became a slave to the dictator, forever hating himself, full of self-loathing for what he did—he burns forever in his core, in the furnace of his heart.

pretty sure snow ain’t all that. anakin skywalker is not snow from any angle.
