Fallout: Salt Lake City (Part 3)
So this post is about the animals of my Fallout: New Canaan idea. Here's Part 1 (map) and Part 2 (factions) if you're interested.
Wasatch Mountains: The mountains would be host to the usual Yao Guai and Deathclaws, as well as Stingwings, Bloodbugs, and Cazadores. But I thought it might also be cool to have something like a Diremoose. I would want them to be a rare encounter and just as nope-inducing as a Deathclaw.
Salt Lake: The salt flats surrounding the lake should be covered in Bloatflies— renamed as Brineflies—but also mutated seagulls called Radgulls, which are as large as Jurassic Park raptors. AI couldn't get the size right, but the look was exactly what I was envisioning, so I didn't mind too much. The salt lake itself would be teaming with giant brine shrimp, to the point that survival in the water would be impossible.
The Desert: Besides the usual Radscorpions and Giant Ants, I was thinking a new desert animal could be a giant rattlesnake. It would remain an ambush predator and strike from rock crevices or perhaps lay in wait under the dirt or sand.
