Dug through my old sketches and found how I make TikToks without actually making TikToks.
Whenever a scene gets stuck in my head, I just have to draw it — and then it finally leaves me alone...
I have a whole pile of these little comics, and they're all still in messy sketch mode, heh. Too lazy to finish them.
Some of you might recognise the audio. The scene: Cheveyo ( an old, 1,500yo Malkavian npc from Haiti in my campaign vtm of San Francisco 1990) preparing for his embrace/ stay shaman ritual. "I just wanted to be happy." And then... well, then things went a little differently than planned.
He carried around jewelry with his family symbol — the ones his kids used to wear. He gave one to Chris (to his child, but Chris didn't know about it) during their first few meetings on the chronicle, with zero context. Chris just started wearing it. Only at the very end did Cheveyo finally tell him what it actually meant.
He gave it to Chris to at least acknowledge him as part of his family — thought it would make things easier. It only made him feel worse, lol. Chris never understood why this old man kept looking at him so sadly.
But hey, it's easy to explain it all as: "yeah, the old dude just lost it"
