i love the idea that no one even considers that superman might have a secret identity. I want him to say "gotta head home" and batman to assume he means "to the Arctic". I like that as far as most people care to tell he's a big friendly alien who lives in an ice palace with a ton of alien curiosities and just spends his whole day zooming around helping people. it's very cute

it very much gives the impression of seeing something you shouldn’t be… it Feels like a violation of privacy, like you’re seeing way too much of his identity, but then you realize… you arent. this is what you’ve always known. the batman is a man. you still can’t see his face, it’s literally fine, but it still feels wrong. when he has the batsuit on, it makes sense that he can do impossible and insane things, but with just the bare essentials, it draws attention to his raw humanity. it makes you think like, if someone handed you a cowl and a utility belt, could you do it? do what he does? you are also a man, a woman, a person, after all. and you just realize like, no. you couldn’t. you realize batman is some guy who does not have a special license to be a vigilante, he decided to do it. seeing batman like this makes you realize that every single moment of being batman is a choice he makes.
