#1 Ragatha Glazer

What will I be doing now? Hello, I hope you’re all doing well! It’s been a rough few years and I’ve finally gotten over my writers block. I’m here and back to start writing again. But Id like to be clear on what the future of my writing will be. For anyone who’s been interested or requested anything from Wally Darling x reader to Welcome home in general, I will no longer be writing for that fandom. I haven’t really been up to date with any of the new lore nor have I had any interest in it for a while. I apologize to anyone who’s requested or enjoyed my writing for that. I just don’t feel like it’s fair to me or anyone who’s requested me to write for it if I’m not interested or the fact that I can’t give an accurate representation of the characters I’m writing. I hope you all can understand and once again I’m sorry. My old writing from when I was in the Welcome home fandom will still be up so no worries

For now I’ll be just a Twisted Wonderland blog because I still adore the fandom and my Overblot series I made for it. I’m most likely rewriting my overblot series because it’s old and I want to make it better. I will also be posting my artwork for my series too.

Update: Life is sucking once again but I’d like to maybe start focusing on my art or just posting rants about shows I like or don’t like. So if you’re interested in my writing it will still be up but I’m not 100% sure if I’ll post any fics. Maybe it’ll be random when I do?

Watching TADC has been a memorable and amazing experience for me. But after watching the last act it was the first episode I ever felt disappointed after watching. Don’t get me wrong all the Va’s performances, the animation, the storyline, and everything was amazing! The ending while sad I feel like it was the best ending for this show. But I genuinely just couldn’t believe this was the last episode for the show. It honestly felt more like a Jax centric episode than the last episode.

While all the characters did have their own episodes I feel like a few of the characters were never fully explored. For instance Ragatha is the biggest example of a character I feel like we never fully got to understand or explore more of. She had her moments but her centered episode (EP 5) didn’t feel like it was her episode at all. Jax took up most of the spotlight in my opinion. There were little bits of Ragathas backstory in the episode but during Ep 9 I honestly felt like she was pushed to the side. I don’t feel like Ragatha really ever learned to take care of herself instead of focusing on everyone else. The only moment of hers in the last episode was when her and Pomni hugged.

I wish we got more of her friendship with Jax during her flashbacks. It would’ve been so interesting to see what their relationship used to be and how it’s deteriorated into what it is now. More moments with Jax just stopping for a second seeing Ragatha genuinely breaking down due to her pranks or actions towards Ragatha. Then very awkwardly trying her best to comfort Ragatha more than she does with anyone else. Even Pomni because shes known Ragatha the longest out of the main cast. I’m not including Kinger in this argument because Jax obviously views Kinger as some insane old man in the circus. And we rarely see the two interacting. The last act made me feel like she was closer to Ragatha than the viewer was ever lead into believe. How she envisioned what would happen if Ragatha abstracted almost felt like it came out of nowhere. I do and don’t understand Jax’s relationship with her. While yes the flashbacks were supposed to be showing us her relationship with Ribbit (mostly) and Kaufmo we never see anything with Ragatha besides her waving at Jax or Jax pushing her to the side. While Jax talked to Ragatha on the couch it was only to discourage Ribbit from talking to her as it’s obviously shown.

Ragatha and Jax’s relationship just never felt like it was explored. We only see the two fighting, Jax messing with her, and Ragatha reminiscing on their friendship. It’s just hard to see what they used to have if all Jax ever did throughout the show was mess with her. Ragatha has snapped on him twice since Pomni came to the circus. And the most of a reaction we see from Jax about Ragatha is in the bar when Ragatha mentioned her relationship with her mother. Or Ragatha apologizing to Jax for mentioning Ribbit.

I’m not making this rant out of hate towards Jax, her being trans, or because of my own personal head-cannons. I just want to share my opinion on a show I love and some of my critics with it. Including that I want to see how others felt with the last episode too! Am I glazing Ragatha? Of course she’s perfect and can do no wrong. Did I want more sprinkles of Jax interacting with Ragatha without them fighting? Yes. That’s all this rant is. Me wanting more of Ragatha and Jax. Do I ship them? No we have enough toxic Yuri with Jax. But she 100% fumbled Ragtha.
