Hi! Hi! I made my final university essay into a YouTube video, it’s looking at the importance of horror in children’s animation!
I need a D20 season using Vampire: The Masquerade as the core system.
I finally made a YouTube channel to share my work and hopefully eventually make video essays in the future. This video was my final independent project from my time at university, the poem and animation are all original.
ACTUALLY Laerryn's actions in episode 2 are not at all condemnable because they're the high fantasy equivalent of like. You've finished your super cool piece of code and it's actually passed all its unit tests this time, but when you try to run your first integration tests then it all works perfectly except it slows your system to a crawl. So you (a non-habitual Windows user) grudgingly open up task manager and see that some unrelated system file with all numbers in the name and a file extension you don't recognise is taking up a huge amount of your CPU and memory. You Google it and get no clear documentation, and so you check Stack Exchange and there's like 2 answers saying "don't uninstall this" with no good explanation. So you're like "well how bad can it be" and you kill the process, and your code starts running perfectly! You tell your friends about it! It's great! Then you find an ancient forum post that's like "hey don't do this it will brick your computer, here's why" and you find out the file you stopped running was actually a crucial, load-bearing component of your antivirus software
Anyway, the moral of Calamity is that you should be running your flying cities on Linux. What was I saying

Rewatching through EXU Calamity and I just want to give big props to Marisha and Aabria for going so hard on the “rip to that other guy but I’m different” vibes that the Age of Arcanum was overflowing with.
The ladies find a letter written in plain and simple language that essentially says “Wizards can’t be trusted with knowledge because they’re too ambitious so I won’t tell you what the tree does” and immediately went “well maybe not those ambitious wizards but we’re totally different ambitious wizards who definitely know what we’re doing and are so much better and cooler that we’ll definitely be able to handle what we find!”
The arrogance, the drama, the self-centered hubris of it all—god I wish we had more time with these two ego-maniacs!
Half of the posts on this blog are from my from my finger slipping on the quick reblog button
I just looked through all my blogs to check things as a post I wrote just vanished into the either only to find that the info on this acount was close to 3 years out of date, I officially do not post my art ever enough…

coming across a post from a mutual who hasn't opted in yet
I used to pray for times like this
Half the notes are people tagging their own country.
On the discussion of book accurate depictions of Sherlock Holmes, one thing I really want is accurate Mycroft. In the books Sherlock is very… autistically coded. At least to me, an autistic person. And Sherlock basically states that Mycroft has more “severe” autism. Sherlock says his brother is more brilliant than he is but absolutely cannot function in society and hates social interaction so much he founded a society for the purpose of minimizing it as much as possible. In addition it’s implied he becomes overstimulated so easily he has to curate his environment to be devoid of disturbance and noise.
Give me the autistic brothers but one has it much much worse
Enough of this Mycroft as the more sociable of the two who is a powerful politician. This man would have a meltdown if he had to be that social!!!
Mycroft goes one (1) place and then goes home, at the same time every day, and does not talk to anyone if he can avoid it, and is really good with facts and figures. Given the state of mental health research in the late 1800s, Mycroft is possibly the most autistic a character could be. And he's HAPPY - do you know how rare that is in fiction about autistic people? Sherlock is super clear about this: Mycroft does his Mycroft things, and has no desire to do any other things, and everyone is super grateful for him being himself and sorting out all their facts for them.
Obviously we only meet him in the stories when he's been forced to Get Up And Go Do Something because of circumstances (that's how adventure stories work, after all) but the majority of the time, Mycroft is having a great time looking out the window and not talking to anyone. Good for him, I say
Remember that one story where Mycroft actually dropped by Sherlock's place to ask his help and Sherlock was like "holy fuck, Mycroft choosing to go to a new location? Is the world ending?"

Kristen Applebees, described as one of the most gifted clerics, reviving a forgetten godess sophomore year only to accidentally kill her this season and needing to revive her again, incredibly stressed (as all the bad kids are) and sobbing over Yolanda's body "You were such a good teacher. I'm sorry I only got a C." is just so heartbreaking in a way i cannot articulate
