Different Universes, Same Stories

This entire scene of dialogue finally let me see the parts of Issie I've only ever just written about myself (in my many wips).

Lana & Theron are Isadola's family. Full stop.

One is her wife, her heart, her love. The other is the closest thing Issie has had to a step-brother. And both are her some of her closest friends.

She knows they are more than capable of handling themselves. But that won't stop her from worrying about them when they have such a high stakes mission ahead of them.

This isn't a new feeling for Issie, this was just the first time on screen and off the page of my fics she finally expresses such feelings out in the open with them.

Issie can't lose them. She's lost enough in her life as is. She can't lose them too. (All things considered it's probably for the best Issie had already left the Jedi by the time of Ossus)

Even the full scope of Isadola & Lana's dynamic is on display here (in the context of past scenes if them too). But the part that honestly sent me over edge was the brief but gentle touch Lana had on Issie's lower back (as per my last post about her back injury). The devs probably didnt intend it as such when they animated it but for Issie & Lana specfically? I was a puddle on the floor in this whole scene.

Then just Issie's soft "May the force be with you both" at the end. MY HEART 🥺
