Bad things happen all the time in the wasteland™. Sean actively chooses to get in trouble to have the upper hand. He won't admit it because his main goal is to hide the weak boy who didn't deserve to win in the first place. If Sean fucks up and someone tries to press him about it - he'll find a million excuses, zero reflection or accountability. "Bad luck, shit happens, nothing you can do about it. It's called life. Gotta keep moving if you wanna live, instead of wasting time on moping around and slowly existing.
