“Here, here, I’ve got one for you. Okay,” he pretended to clear his throat as he prepared to tell his joke. “The past, the present and the future all walked into a bar. It was tense,” the male grinned, hitting his hands against the table.
“Yes, yes i’m home. Try not to get too overwhelmed.” He grinned, dropping his backpack on the floor.Â

Beth looked up, shielding her eyes from the sun. She squinted… her eyes trying to find the source of the burning smell in the air. “Wait…” She paused. “I’m sure I see smoke in the distance.”

Cailan blinked, looking up when he heard a voice. He hadn’t realised he’d been lost in his own thoughts, unsure how long he’d been staring into space. His eyes felt dry and he rubbed them. When had he last slept? That wasn’t like him. He’d read his family’s grimoire from cover to cover… gone through whatever material he could find without drawing too much attention to himself with the coven… he hoped. He was determined to help Aria.
“I think I need another coffee… or a coffee drip,” he half laughed, fingers curling around the old book. He covered it with a newspaper.Â
“Okay, so tell me. Any gossip?” the vampire asked, a slight smirk on her full lips. “I leave town for a few days and there’s something not quite right. Or am I imagining things?”
Gerry leaned his weight against the counter, letting out a breath. His blue eyes took in the dimly lit room. A place he knew so well… and right now, he almost felt like a stranger. He was ashamed of himself and the way he’d fallen apart since his father had died. He was doubting himself as a leader, a friend… as a good person.
He glanced up, managing a smile. That’s who he was… Gerry the happy bartender. “Sorry, sorry. I was lost in my own thoughts for a moment. Just one of those days, huh?” He paused. “Haven’t quite been myself lately. But uh… something bad happened… at the weekend.”
“It’s got bloody cold outside…” The werewolf folded his arms. He was regular around town, but after the full moon he was trying to keep his head down. His bruises hadn’t quite healed and he didn’t want to risk one of the wolves scenting him. “You don’t know anywhere that serves coffee late do you?”Â

Aria shrugged, reaching up to get cereal. The witch she had been with had talked her through a few things… but she could tell there were other things he was hiding. She had no memories, but she wasn’t a moron. She was curious and she needed to find out more about herself. She figured the best way to do that was to wander around town and find out what other people knew about her.Â
She headed towards the check out, putting both of the boxes on the counter and pulling out her dollars before exiting. It was a warm day and the sun on her face was nice. But she felt a sharp pang in her chest when a pair of eyes fell on her. “I was just grocery shopping.” She smiled politely, not wanting to give away her vulnerability until she could ascertain who the person was.Â

The rain seemed to pound heavier with each passing minute. There was something about it that put Parker’s mind at ease that morning as he waited by the register for James, the owner of Cove’s Convenience Store to finish with a customer on the phone. He found it strange, yet amusing, that James still used a house phone, complete with spiral cord as opposed to a mobile. Probably just his age.
Parker looked around the shop, scrolled Instagram for a few seconds, then looked around the shop again. He did this for several minutes before giving up and wandering the short aisles that were full of everything from an assortment of candy bags, chips and chocolate bars, car oil, toilet paper and several brands of penne pasta. He glanced back at James who was now laughing into the phone and shaking his grey head. Parker sighed. Who the hell was on the other line? Why was the call taking so long?
“Nevermind,” whispered an annoyed Parker, grabbing a bag of Fritos before hearing the bell hung above the door chime. He slowly placed the bag back, cerulean eyes following the sound. Making eye contact, he offered a friendly smirk; “Hi there,” he began as he made his way towards them, “I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about a case?” He pulled open the right side of his black flight jacket, exposing his badge, hoping they’d agree to his proposition.
Bradley wasn’t particularly thrilled about being back in Crestle Cove. He’d left for a reason. He’d always felt out of place here. He wasn’t a wolf… he wasn’t considered a full witch either… maybe they were just jealous of his magic. He laughed out loud before realising he had done so. “I’m not this weird all the time, I promise,” he looked up, giving a smile to the stranger. “You don’t happen to know of any work going for this weird guy, do you?”
Aria had put herself into more danger then she’d realised. She’d lost track of the full moons… It was unlike her, but her mind had been so foggy lately. “I think… I think i got bitten.” She held out her arm, the skin around it burning.Â
“Do you know how much I’ve had to drink to feel anything?” the blonde laughed, pausing as if she was waiting for a response. “A lot. The answer is a lot.”
a quite morning at Crestle Cove’s town square, Chrystal wasn’t able to sleep the night before, she stood all night long awake painting her last piece, enraged with the thought that se might never have her own gallery, but still she had hope. she usually spent her nights wide awake, since it’s her most creative hours, she says.
Chrystal decided it was a good idea to take a stroll in town square, stoping by Crestle’s famous (only in town of course) library cafe, she asked for black coffee, straight, no sugar and some _patisseries _to cheer up her mood. Right in front of the cafe was the dreamt place when she wanted to set up her gallery, of course for rent, but way off her actual budget, that’s why she painted non stop, did art shows at her own place and tried and sell off all of her paintings, she also had been taking random photography jobs, locals payed well because they liked “the way she had to see the world”.
the young witch sat quietly in a table for two, just infront of the huge window Crestle’s cafe had, and stood there eating quietly, having long sips of her coffee, staring at her dreamt place.

Beth sat, biting her lip. “It’s weird. I… I don’t remember but I know I saw it. I keep trying to remember their faces. But I can’t remember.” She looked up at them. “Do you think… I dream like this?”
“If there’s one good thing about this weekend. I barely feel a thing.” She lifted her glass of wine and took a long sip. “I can keep going all day and not a thing… Trust me nothing will knock this wolf out before the full moon. I’ve tried.”Â
