i downloaded tiktok so i could share my wow housing builds & even though i still kinda loathe the app i started using it to look up local things like events or things to do and came across a video from my town’s farmers market where this guy was going around asking everyone what their fav restaurant in town was and half the people answered with this bagel place that is literally right across the street from me that i’ve never been to so a couple weeks ago i said you know what i will go to the bagel place and i did and i fear they not only make the best bagels ive ever had but they have amazing lattes and i hate that i had to learn this through tiktok. i ought to just be trying all the restaurants that are across the street from me that’s a start

i’ve never really used an AI chatbot so i have a really poor idea of where they’re at like in terms of like, how well they talk like humans. but i found this one dude, husk, who basically makes short form media showing AI just like straight up lying about what it can do. and putting aside the whole lying part of it (which is its own concern), it’s one of the few times i’m really “hearing” chat gpt talk and it just has this very like, repetitive, cloying way of talking that it makes me surprised people form emotional connections with it? like maybe it’s just like, the free version of it and paid versions are better? or maybe chat GPT just has a very distinct voice and other chatbots are more convincing but like, idk it really doesn’t feel human. even if it’s “impressive” what it seems to be able to do it still sounds nothing like a real human to me idk.

ahh the age old question: what is my responsibility to family members who need help but refuse it? am i being hyper responsible and taking on something futile or that’s not my business to begin with? or am i being a shit family member who should feel guilty for not doing more? who can say… only time will tell in: this one life i have on earth

i am at the obgyn for my hysteroscopy and i had to get here an hour early so they could give me ativan and painkillers. so ive just been sitting in this big room behind a curtain and i was the first to arrive. then a bit ago i hear what i assume is a mother and a daughter come in on the other side of the room and now they’re over there talking very in depth about the financial and health details of their lives and i think they have no idea im also in the room. also the meds are hitting and i want to go to sleep
