@sheiksleopardthong and I wrote this for @vanaqua’s Vanqua Week 2026 prompt Loving. It is related to a prompt we filled last year too; what a treat!

And Vanitas thought he was in hot water: wanted for murder, and jailbreak, he's on the run from the law. Paired up with one hell of a woman—she's smart, sly, and she's put a spell on him that has him holding his innermost thoughts out to her on a silver platter. He knew he wasn't the only one running. But he never could have guessed just what sort of mess Aqua had dragged him into. And the worst part? Vanitas went willingly.
