People would rather live in denial than confront the reality that the body has limitations and that anyone can become debilitatingly ill from one bad roll of the dice such as a covid or other viral infection.

If they acknowledge that reality they would have to unpack the idea that laziness doesn’t exist, that everyone deserves healthcare access, that not everyone can work themselves to the bone.

hello again everyone, Im making another update on the situation of my friend Omar’s family in Gaza. In the past couple of weeks, as the Israeli occupation is intensifying it’s attacks in all of the Gaza Strip, Omar’s family is having to move from “safe zone” to “safe zone” with their tent while also in precarious health conditions. Aisha’s pregnancy is in more danger every moment she spends without medications the cyst on her ovary is constantly at risk of rupturing and killing her and now they need 5000€ for medicine. In all of this the internet connection is very unstable so while they are under constant bombardment they cannot always be in contact with me and access money so it’s very important especially in these days to collect as much as possible so they can live as best as they can while there is no contact with the outside world. Hi friends, I need to clarify something very important. My GoFundMe page is still active, and I am the organizer in Gaza. The issue is not with my page. The real problem is that the beneficiary’s GoFundMe account, The person the funds are supposed to go to was suddenly deleted by GoFundMe without any warning or explanation.

Because the beneficiary’s account was deleted, all transfers have stopped, even though my page is still running.

But life doesn’t pause.

My family in Gaza is still facing a brutal daily reality, and their basic needs can’t wait for a review email or a support ticket.

Until we resolve the beneficiary issue or get a new one approved, I have to redirect all support through Ko-fi.
