i'm 29 (♎ libra), i've been on tumblr since 2010, and i have a master's degree in biology!
i enjoy reading (seriously, i have read nearly 100 books so far this year) with a particular fondness for sci fi and fantasy and a huge soft spot for sports romance. i also read a lot of manga!
i also really enjoy music - i love listening to albums front to back when i discover an artist i like and reading up about them on the internet. I have over 100 CDs in my collection. i have spent hours on end researching songs that fit a particular vibe that i want to curate a playlist around. i also love reading about specific genres and their origins. my top genres include midwest emo, screamo, and shoegaze, but i will generally listen to any kind of music. if you say you listen to everything except rap, you're being antiblack and you should shut the fuck up and think about it.

my favourite video games are the pokemon mystery dungeon games (explorers of sky is the best), the dragon age series (zevran is forever in my heart), baldur's gate 3, the mass effect series, dave the diver, final profit, and civ 6.

hartje on the slovak national team is changing my life im genuinely going to call the iihf in the morning and ask them if its gonna be on iihf.tv because i have to see this so bad like she's played in a couple preseason games before with them but this time she's legit on the roster im so freaking excited
ok let me explain what's happening. we read this article from hockey slovakia stating there will be an IIHF European Cup of Nations tournament occuring in bardejov slovakia. on august 20-22nd. featuring slovakia, italy, austria, and netherlands. there is an article from hockey italy confirming there is some sort of tournament they will be attending in slovakia. there is no information on this on the iihf website at all. the only confirmation this tournament exists at all is these two articles. it starts in 11 days. we have no idea if we are gonna waste our money buying passes to be able to watch this on iihf.tv. i am very confused and baffled especially considering last years european cup of nations is on their website??
notably I believe that the cup of nations featured on the website is the men's tournament, so if they're not even bothering to provide any information about the women's tournament (just because it's smaller and features less countries and it's women's hockey????) I .....🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

im damone dami mona dj whatever you know me as. im a disabled blak bi woman from rural victoria and i just got my ass ejected from an abusive home i was already trying to leave. i could take basically nothing with me but my laptop, cats, documents, and some very basic clothes.
ive talked a little about what i experienced in that house on my blog but basically the long and short of it was the cops knew me by name, id been choked out, i was allowed to shower like twice a month, i was extorted, my medication was taken and withheld, and i was verbally and physically abused often, including getting mocked for my sa regularly. there is more. so much more. but venting isnt the purpose of this post

helloooooo refuge was a bust because of legal shit i cannot discuss (no i did not do anything, none of this fell through because of me pulling some bullshit) and i am heading to the city tomorrow to link in with new support services and find work. accommodation is the priority currently as i will have access to food banks and am a very capable cook. i have secured transport and paid for two weeks of accommodation using my super, and i will be trying to pay as much on my own as i go, but my centrelink payments are about to drop significantly because of the housing situation. so. not awesome but we move. literally, actually. we move. anyways. thank you all so much for your help so far. without getting too weepy on you i would just like to express that the kindness ive been shown has altered my perspective heavily on a lot of things and im very grateful. like. cannot even begin to articulate it. thank you again as always and forever. ily

As the article notes, many Americans don’t know these accounts exist, let alone whether they or someone they care for could qualify for one, so please share this information around.
It seems to me it would obviously be better if the “no more than $2000 a month” limit were simply removed and disabled people could have whatever savings accounts they chose, but this is heaps better than nothing.
