rebecca sugar ate. what do you mean this character was built from the ground up to be nothing, to be a slave, to bow and scrape and serve and look pretty? what do you MEAN she's encouraged by her owner to be free but resists and finds loopholes and learns to fight and turns herself into a shield and dies over and over and over and over again?? what do you MEAN her owner doesn't even want to own her and hates the shit out of herself for ever being involved in the fucked-up system that objectified her best friend and confidante in the first place and raised her to hate her own inborn compassion and kindheartedness?? she fakes her own death, forces her slave/knight/best friend/lover to keep the secret, they never communicate about it, and then she's so wracked with guilt from all these little atrocities adding up and this disillusionment about her own character she just commits suicide by childbirth and leaves her with this tremendous burden she can't put down even if she wants to and, bearing that secret, has to learn to be free in spite of it? going insane over here
