i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3

unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it

i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map

i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs

this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.

crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.

‎Hi! And thanks for asking. Actually, I plan to make human designs for employees, but it may take a long time, because I want to do everything with high quality! I need time to decide for sure that the design that I have come up with suits me, otherwise I will be consumed by a feeling of dissatisfaction. People are so creative with hum designs, I'm really excited about it and I want to try my best too. I noticed that some people liked my hum Sawyer and now I feel a little more confident to continue working.🥹🥹

‎As you have noticed, some of the design of the Leith has already been shown. I have a silly chibi version of him (I'll leave the picture below), and just the next art that I planned to draw will be dedicated to this greedy, two-faced old man! It took me a while to make sure that I was satisfied with both him and Harley, because the whole concept changed a couple of times. A lot of emphasis is on associations and the way I see a character- sometimes it's the color palette and so on, but mostly it's the subject that hides their appearance. For example, in Leith's case, his face is hidden by cigarette smoke. Smoking in those days showed a successful business person who had some kind of power and control. As well as the presence of contradictory yellow, which is associated with joy, optimism, and illness, betrayal. It's the same story with Harley. His head is covered with a lab coat, which firstly refers to what mechanical vessels look like, and secondly shows that this person is closed and sees only work and his goals in front of him.

‎At the moment, I'm working on the design of Ludwig (it's almost ready) and Stella. Perhaps it seems that I attach too much importance to this, but it is genuinely interesting and fun for me to think about it, it brings me pleasure!

Leith might be a grown ass man but why would it stop him from having fun. A little silly comic, because, uh, I personally need something light hearted

So some fanartist drew a “sexy” (read: booby) version of a (cartoon) character who is traditionally very non-sexualised. Fans of the character got mad about it because it’s kind of groundbreaking how that character is written and portrayed and this art totally ignores the entire point of the character. They demanded the art be deleted. In response to that other people said, well what the fanartist did may be distateful but they have every right to draw what they’re into. The two sides fight for days and each starts a harassment campaign and even report their “opponents’” accounts.

So far so typical. But things eventually come to a head and they decide that this will be settled by votes - not through a poll. Through donations to a children’s education charity via each side’s portal. Whoever can get the highest amount of donation wins.
