reading:

i just finished the most recent murderbot book (Platform Decay) on audiobook and. aughhh oof ow it was so good. My favorite thus far. Really good stuff thank you Martha Wells.

my reading for pleasure time has been soooo drastically limited recently but before PD I read the Starving Saints by Caitlin Starling (loved it!) and before THAT i devoured all of Witch Hat Atelier & several of the Witch Hat Kitchen volumes. Unsure what I’m gonna start next. Maybe Bloom by Delilah S. Dawson or I have a couple scifi/horror short story collections I haven’t tried yet? Indecision!!

Last Series:

Jaq and I have been slowly making our way through JJBA. We’re on part 2 of Stardust Crusaders now. My patience with these Jojos is wearing a little thin but i still love them. Polnareff sucks but his design is great i love his earrings. Kakyoin and little Jojo are not breaking the generational yaoi curse. Avdol deserves so much better than this group of fucking losers. Why do these people keep letting big jojo drive. Iggy is here

Last ep we watched was the oingo boingo brothers and it was very good. I loved that one cartoon bird that inexplicably had huge tits

Last Film:

I got all excited for a second bc I thought the answer to this was Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey (perfect film) but i realized that the truth was Bill and Ted Face the Music and. Um. not anywhere close to a perfect film!!! Bogus Journey really is still a 10/10 for me and very fun to watch with someone experiencing it fresh.

Coffee or Tea:

oughhhh ummmmm coffee. I love both but I drink coffee every day. Tea is more a seasonal bev for me but I love a london fog in all its temperatures <3 i’ve been making flavored simple syrups lately & i did a lavender rosemary one & a coconut, both of which are good in coffee & tea

Current Projects:

So many. I’m finishing up a digital commission for my bestie of his DnD character, which has been soooo much fun. I don’t get to draw other people’s characters very often and I’m so happy he asked me. Apparently his DM loved the sketch and might also commission me :))

Brownie has some vet bills upcoming so i’m working on designs for stickers of him to sell. Finally forcing my freeloader dog to help pay rent after 10+ years

Fandom stuff is still fun for me atm so i’ve got a handful of trigun arts i’m picking at. I’ve not been reading much fanfic recently, but back when school let out i had a big blast of brain power for writing. That has kinda died down again but i wrote a lot & now i’m trying to edit which has been great! in addition to some short original stuff & a little journaling i am forever fiddling with my one big trigun fic & i have a couple little oneshots i’ve been sitting on for a while that are kinda sorta finished? I wanted to post one of them for Vash birthday but it snuck up on me and i never did. I am the world’s slowest editor so who knows when i will. i am moving on wise old tree time fr

Oh oh i have also been doing a bit of clothing alteration and modding! I have a couple pieces i want to do some stamping and/or bleach print experimentation on. I repainted the print on a faded tshirt recently & i had so much fun with it, but it did not hold the paint as well as i wanted. It was bleach tie-dyed so the black & bleached portions washed out differently :/ so i am determined to do more shirt painting now. I also wanna do some more stuff with block printed/painted patches & chopping up & reassembling but a lot of my clothes are still in storage, so i have to be patient for at least another month. it’s hard though! i miss my clothes!!!

And of course school starts back up in September and i will finally be doing flameworking, so i am trying to think about glass stuff i wanna do! I’m so so excited i cannot waittttt to start melting shit with a torch againnnnnn
