(im sorry if this sounds weird or condescending its genuine i swear) i respect you a lot for voicing your criticisms of this chapter, its being praised as the best thing toby ever wrote when the new characters barely made their mark in the story and old characters were stupidly ooc and didnt even carry the somber tone of the previous chapter, the plot is stagnant and the tone felt so weird too idk im starting to believe its going the homestuck route :(

lmfao no problem. voicing criticism is fun and easy and free but I hope im not coming off as too negative when in hindsight its more of the same things I didnt like about previous chapters just moreso. its fine. im sure for some people it really resonates and they enjoyed it but it just wasnt very fun for me idk. Hopefully the last two chapters will be more enjoyable now all the "fun" is out of the way lol and plot simply must happen. the ending is probably going to be too meta for me (really its 2026 can a video game do something meta in a new and interesting way...?) but whatever.

the flowers just arent meant to be parallels to anyone and if they are they arent good ones that further develop characters or the story, seeing the compilation posts people make is like watching someone trying to force the triangle block into the round hole. Like even if its true then what? asgore has this warped cartoonish view of everyone around him that never gets addressed and hes treated as never really being the bad guy in the first place and everybody loves him unconditionally?
