Huge fucking carrot. Wide as my fist longer than my forearm.
I do have another finger it's just behind the enormous carrot.
One time I ordered a Misfits Market box (service to rescue and sell food that's fine but weird sizes/shapes, visual imperfections, close to expiration date, etc.) and ordered a pound of carrots.
I got a pound of carrot, singular.
It was about this size. At LEAST a pound of carrot.
This carrot came in my supermarket's version of that, where they sell less attractive veg for a tiny bit less than the regularly shaped stuff.
#when woolies first introduced odd bunch it was a lot cheaper#now that they've realised people really don't care how a vegetable looks it's almost up to the price of regular stuff...
Depending on the produce, I frequently get the regular stuff because I assume it'll work out cheaper. Like with onions for example; the bag of tiny weird onions might be fifteen cents cheaper, but a lot more of it is just peel. For others, it's not worth saving ten cents when you have to do so much more work peeling and cutting weirdly shaped potatoes etc. than you do the more evenly shaped normal ones.
