in general I think I have a weak spot for sunk cost fallacy characters. no point in trying to change because there's no going back! can't stop now because the possibility of being wrong is too unbearable to face head on and would destroy me if I tried!
tbh im not entirely immune to a villain with a tragic backstory but i do think villain origins are a lot more interesting when the focus is less "here is the original sin, the first big bad thing that happened to them that made them who they are" and more "here is the first time a person who maybe otherwise felt powerless in their life realized that they could hurt someone and get away with it"
you can get a lot more mileage out of analyzing a truly abhorrent character through the lens of like. what sort of conditions would allow or even incentivize this kind of cruelty? what kind of person benefits from those conditions and how? over the more typical who hurt them type analysis. imo.

My name was originally FritoPha, but I changed it to Fritofilly because of my love 4 My Little Pony, I'm not sure, but I want to change back my name to FritoPha like how I had when I first got into Tumblr. I still love My Little Pony dearly, but I thought it was a teensy eeny tiny immature. Who knows, I could change my name entirely, but nah.
When I became a luhguhbuhtuh+ person I realized very quickly that the gays love frogs, and so, as a baby gay and a baby they I wished to fit in more as I felt very out-of-place as a smol queer (mainly bc I didn't even know myself yet) so I was doing whatever I could to find community. And Tumblr, the social media FOR QUEER PEOPLE (basically), just happened to be the social media I used the very most at that time. So I really wanted to have a username I wouldn't change often or at all.
I tried to take simply Frog but couldnt, so then I was "bifroglet" for a while cus idk. But then I identified outside of the term Bisexual so I tried to shorten it to Froglet but couldn't so then became FROOGLET.
And I was never really planning on keeping the same username for so long, but like a month or two later, after finding community and friends here and becoming more myself I started talking to more people and never really thought to change my username ever again cus why would I? I'm just not that guy I guess lol. It's been the same for like a year and a half now and I have no plans for change.

Aeris was the name of my self insert in a fandom I'm in and I did a lotta research after my fic writing days on wattpad that I didn't accidentally pick a name that meant something else. (It didn't turn out badly, but it wasn't what I originally intended lmao. After that I started putting a lot more thought into names I was unfamiliar with.)
Anyways, I just wanted to pick something that gave sky-ish bird vibes, and I was listening to Passerine by The Oh Hellos and heard "Like an eagle to an aerie" and I was like woah I like that word!
