Still on that cannibal Blackwood grind hehe. I had to draw this I was literally buzzing from the preiviews, i couldn't help myself. This is probably how this arc is gonna go in Jesterverse because I'm too attached to the idea hehe.
“I helped you give birth, are you trying to pretend that you have anything you need to hide from me? I’ll keep your secrets just like I always have, just don’t insult me and pretend that I’m not someone you’re able to trust.”

You could try eating the eggs that any breedable pokemon lay. Like, imagine a Haxorus egg. That’s gotta be nutritious as fuck. Full of iron. Everyone jokes about Miltank milk and making burgers out of it, but what would a Miltank egg taste like?
i was about to pick at the term "breedable pokemon" but hold up are u implying pokemon only reproduce by egg-laying (or miscellaneous mysterious means). ARE NONE OF THESE FUCKERS MAMMALS
I am pleased by people messaging me telling me that after adding a carb or protein to their snacks or meals they feel more satisfied all day. Yes, my plan is working. People are getting through their days with less hangry.

Second part of me reacting to things in S3 of Sonic X that I either didn't get as a kid or forgot in the last decade and a half since I saw the show.
This is a LONG one and heavy spoilers ahead, but also a couple of my headcanons are sprinkled in, too.
•So. It turns out I'm a pretty big Yellow Zelcova fan for the limited screen time he gets! He's out here living his best life, showing off his strength, gleefully attempting intergalactic war-crimes, dying like Metal Sonic in the Sonic OVA Movie- and I can't get enough of this guy. He's fun!
•It turns out the Metarex can actually choose to transform into kaiju, almost-Perfect Chaos-but-not-quite creatures at will. The transformation just isn't sustainable. I'm currently on the episode where we get Planet Greengate's backstory and how the Metarex came to be, 'Eye Spy'. (OOPS! Turns out the transformation is very unsustainable, as in it kills the male Seedrians! I vaguely remembered that, but it was pretty sudden- OH SHOOT! Zelcova's back! It's just a flashback but still!! :D)
•Shadow was very happy to fight Knuckles in the last episode! I was surprised at first and then remembered that some one; I don't know if it was a decision by Sega, Sonic Team, or some Localization team(??) but in semi-recent years Shadow's personality has been hacked and slashed. More recently though it seems like they're course correcting him, like with Tails in Sonic Frontiers, as evidenced by Shadow Generations and the Movie series giving him more ability to express himself and empathize. TLDR, I was just happy to see Shadow excited about something in my rewatch of Sonic X and that thing happened to be fighting against Knuckles.
•Oh dang, I kinda had a feeling it was the case but one of the Seedrian women who was aboard Cosmo's space colony has a dead husband. He was the guy who went kaiju and died almost immediately in 'Eye Spy'.
•WEIRD! Odd and strange! Black Oak's real name is LUCAS! I was not expecting that! Ohh, I don't like how he pronounces Earthia's name in the English Dub... AAH! I don't like how ANYONE is pronouncing her name! It's Earthia [Earth-ea], not Earthia [Er-thigh-uh]!
•Gonna be honest, just for me personally, watching Earthia and Lucas's confrontation feels like looking through a one-way window into a domestic dispute. This feels like Earthia's about to serve him divorce papers. Rightfully so, mind you!!
•Oh, so Earthia started the war with the Metarex by commanding that her space colony needed to take the first shot. Huh. I did NOT remember that! Well, she is the equivalent to a queen/leader of her people so she was trying to make the tough call to protect the many by killing a few hundred, I guess. Lucas's ambition DID end up bringing ruin to the entire galaxy in the end but it's still wild to me that Earthia was the one who commanded her colony to take the first shot.
•I don't think it's ever stated who the Seedrians(/Metarex) were fighting a war against initially, but due to how Molly described the people of Planed Cascade in the planet's prime; I choose to believe it was them. She said something along the lines of "There was no telling how far our territory could have reached!" or something to that effect which is an admission that they were conquering other territories for themselves, at the very least. Yeah, it can be argued that it was a peaceful conquest- maybe they made alliances and joined forces with others to expand their rule, but how common of an occurance is that, really? Anyway, I just think it'd be a neat twist, as a headcanon, if Planet Cascade was the reason the Metarex came into being and wiped them out in return for starting the war. Also it'd make Dark Oak's sadistic punishment/execution (because you CAN'T tell me they were alive- well actually... it'd probably be WORSE if they DID survive in that state...) of the Cascade Resistance thematic and horrifying. It's like "You stole our home, forced us to siphon the life force of our very planet to survive, now you too will know what it is like to be transformed and nourish the very earth that you lay upon!" or something like that.
It's interesting to me that the Seedrian women turn into trees while the men turn into plant/lizard beasts that tower over skyscrapers. I really do feel like the deaths or punishments Dark Oak mete out to the Cascade Resistance was/could have been thematic even if Cascade WASN'T the planet who started a war with the Seedrians.
•Okay, so I'd had a theory when I started rewatching this that there COULDN'T be thousands upon thousands of Metarex, unless they were cloning themselves, and I was right. There were only four male Seedrians who survived Earthia's bombing of Planet Greengate; Lucas (Dark Oak), and his four commanders Yellow Zelcova, Black Narcissus (the one who triggered Dark Sonic and personally beat Chris into unconsciousness; in the original Sonic said Chris wasn't breathing!), Pale Bayleaf, and ...Red Pine. Red Pine and Pale Bayleaf, so far anyway, haven't been super memorable to me. I think Red Pine died when Sonic and Shadow were fighting each other in their Super forms? He didn't do much.
•This is kind of a headcanon of mine but; I like to think that all Seedrians are actually half-plant half-lizard. While the men look rougher with their horns and giant transformations the women look more like salamanders or newts, very smooth looking. (I know this theory doesn't work very well with the Metarex's ultimate goal of wiping out all flesh-and-blood beings to leave only plant life in the galaxy, but who knows maybe despite being part lizard they aren't flesh-and-blood? I dunno.)
•Chris's VA seems to be actively trying to deepen her voice this episode; 'Eye Spy'.
•Rouge remains my favorite part of this series due to her perfect timing, snark, and just how in-character she is! Cream and Cosmo are both awesome too! Cosmo's personal crisis about learning the truth about why Dark Oak allowed her to live is great, very justified break down. -?! Holy crap, Bokkun just fell from space!! Welp, that's some dedication to delivering messages-! Ohh, Eggman's in jail again- Metarex jail this time! Something tells me they won't be giving him any faulty appliances to repair.
•I forgot to mention it in my last post but there was a bit in one episode where Decoe and Bocoe were hitting each other with big hammers and only one of them (Decoe) was all dented up. Bocoe asked if Decoe had gotten all of his dents out to which Decoe responded "You don't have any dents, I just like hitting you with this!" and a few seconds later they both chased Bokkun with their hammers for something the little guy'd said. I just thought this was a really funny bit for some reason.
I've got roughly three episodes left not counting the one I'm watching, 'Agent of Misheif', then I'm rewatching the season again from the beginning- OH SHOOT! The Chaotix are back again! I love those guys! What's Vector doing talking with Shadow?? I don't remember a lot of little details about this series, I know some of the most major plot points but how we get from one major event to the next slips my memory.
Oh my gods-! Shadow and The Chaotix are so-... chaotic! First they give him a sales pitch on riding in their spaceship (A ship that originally came from Chris's folks) to get wherever Shadow needs to go, then Shadow ... smirks?? Smiles? For some reason, the Chaotix start arguing and complaining at each other with each other like usual, and then Shadow tries to wrench the controls out of Vector's hands. They crash inside a Metarex ship. Thanks a lot Shads!! 🤣

The FDA has upgraded an egg recall issued last month to “Class I,” its highest risk level, as it warns the public that consuming the products could cause “serious adverse health consequences or death.”
The recall of 1,589,577 dozen white-shell eggs and brown cage-free shell eggs was initially issued by Midwest Poultry Services in late July, which warned they might be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis.
According to the company, the eggs were produced and distributed from farms in Texas between June 6 and July 3 and have sell-by or best-by dates between July 20 and August 17. The recalled egg cartons have either the code P-1950 or 0840962 and Julian Dates between 157-184.

I need you all to hear me out on Crazy Carl returning and adopting Silver in the 5th sonic movie
Like when Silver comes to the past he finds the Sanic drawing and is like “Omg the Iblis trigger!” And Carl is like “Yep that’s our very own Blue Devil” and Silver is all shocked, thinking that “Blue Devil” is the true name for the Iblis Trigger asks where he is and promises to capture him to which Carl says “Oh I’ve tried to capture him myself before. I wish you luck” and Silver is enamoured with Carls bravery (Thinking Sonic is a dangerous villain obviously) and respects him deeply and then Carl shows him to the Wachowski house.
And at the end of the film Silver decides to stay because his future is still broken even without Iblis just like game canon and he stays with Carl and they are father and son.
Quick question about this; wouldn't Silver have to stop a different calamity? I haven't personally had any chances to see the Knuckles show but I know he absorbed the power of Iblis... somehow(???) at some point(??) in that series. Would Sonic still be the Iblis Trigger, or would Iblis be a non-issue and some other monstrosity of the apocalypse be on the loose?
Again, I've never seen the Knuckles show personally so I don't know if Iblis could still escape or not. I do know that regardless of that answer Sonic could still be blamed for the apocalypse, whatever happens! Movie!Sonic seems very easy to use as a scapegoat.
Rewatching season 3 of Sonic X for the first time in literal decades has reminded me of SO MANY things that I either didn't catch as a kid or forgot about. Some highlights include!! Obvious spoilers ahead
• Rouge uses Bokkun as a pawn to manipulate Eggman by threatening to expose this messenger robot's crush. (He's got a crush on Cream the Rabbit)
• Rouge makes Bokkun give Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe drugged hot cocoa to knock them out so she can do her own thing without interference from them. (Why did Eggman give his robots functioning digestive systems?? Did he do it to give them food poisoning as a punishment knowing that since they're machines they won't die from it?)
• Eggman apparently had an off brand transformer (I think it sorta looked like Optimus Prime?) in the episode where he, once again, convinced Knuckles to fight Sonic.
• Speaking of Knuckles! He took the credit for finding the first Chaos Emerald in space when in reality it was Cheese who spotted it and Cream who called attention to it. Cream, Cheese, and Cosmo were the first ones to go after the emerald; meanwhile, Knuckles had still been digging elsewhere before he saw the girls and Cheese running down the sand dunes towards something.
• Sonic called Yellow Zelcova 'Big Boy' at one point and I thought that was funny.
•In the episode Testing Time (the one and only time we ever see Dark Sonic, remember?) opens with Cheese sleeping on Sonic's lap like how in some movies a villain in a big chair turns around and has a cat on their lap. After the crew of the Blue Typhoon realize the Metarex are luring them to one specific planet Sonic says something about how he hopes it's a trap, or something to that effect, which only reinforced my mental image of him in the position of one of those old-movie villains in a big chair with a cat- or in this case a Chao.
•The way Molly describes the people of the planet Cascade makes them sound like smart but superior conquerers who wanted to rule the galaxy. I didn't realize that when I first watched this show.
• OH YEAH! In my opinion Rouge's worst offense- SO FAR- is taking advantage of Shadow's amnesia and PTSD to paralyze him with trauma just long enough to search for a Chaos Emerald. She ended up getting grabbed by a Metarex and Shadow had to save her. Oh... and she dropped Chris from what was effectively a long, empty elevator shaft after he refused to give her a pair of emeralds. Was she planning on digging through the pockets of his corpse for the emeralds after he died?? That's dark and harsh, but I guess she has no particular attachment to Chris and he'd outlived his usefulness to her at that point. It makes sense for her character, so I'm not complaining about the 'dropping Chris' thing. I was shocked she'd do that to Shadow though.
• The episode after Clash in the Cloister has Amy asking Sonic if he thinks Shadow could really have survived again, the show cuts for all of one and a half seconds to a shot of Super Shadow T-posing with his back to the camera and shouting while falling into a gravity field along with Eggman's Ship, then cuts back to Sonic. I could not stop laughing at this for several minutes. I had a hard time breathing after that.
• I didn't realize the English version cut out the explosion from Molly's death, that scene JUST played out as I was typing this. Huh. I guess that explains why I never knew she'd died in that episode until I got older.
• The Chaotix are baaaaack~!! And as hopeless as ever. Gotta say though, I like how Charmy is characterized in Sonic X overall, he's unapologetically a child and just wants to have fun and eat sweets.
Speaking of characterizations; I feel like Rouge is my favorite Sonic X character overall. She's very self-interested, uses whoever and whatever she has to but she can still form attachments to people. Rouge was really close with Topaz and I hate how we don't really ever hear from Topaz in season 3, I with that Rouge at least got sent a message or something once word got out that Chris's family had a portal to Sonic's World that could send items. I don't know how exactly to describe it but Rouge, Charmy, and Cream are all perfectly characterized in my opinion. Those three never feel out of character or 'off' to me in any way throughout the entire show as a whole! I love Cosmo as a character too and her interactions with everyone else, but she's an original character from this show so there's no other version of Cosmo from any other Sonic media to compare her to- this is her first, last, and most iconic appearance in Sonic.
I liked how in the episode they found the first Chaos Emerald Cosmo is absolutely projecting her own views and opinions onto Knuckles, but at least in part she was right about him wanting to see the best in others and hoping Eggman might change one day. Cosmo obviously has a strong sense of justice and a compassionate heart but her naivety can get her and the rest of the crew into a lot of trouble at times. Did she ever question why she could read parts of the Metarex language in 'An Underground Oddesey'? No. Did she search around the Planet Egg in 'Desperately Searching for Sonic' even after she was tricked by Ape King the first time? No, but neither did Amy or Cream. I'm not saying it's a bad thing or that her character is bad in any way, don't misunderstand, I like that she has some obvious flaws that make her who she is!
Cosmo's goal to beat the Metarex and restore the planets they've harmed is a singleminded thing for her during most of this season, but she still makes time to bring food to Tails when he overworks himself and plan/set up a surprise party for the crew! I'm happy that she, at the very least, hasn't been forgotten about; in certain Sonic media like the TailsTube videos you can sometimes see a potted plant sprout sitting around Tails' Workshop. I don't want to spoil what happens in the end of the series for anyone who hasn't seen it, but that plant sprout is something Cosmo gave to Tails before they parted ways. Tails kept it all this time and he's still taking care of it... :)
