at my old job i had a coworker who was tired and made a coffee with like 6 or 8 shots of espresso and i just casually went up to them like “are you trying to meet god?” and not only was this absolutely hilarious to them but they brought it up in future conversations they thought it was so funny but to me this was just as casual as saying “woah that’s a lot of coffee”

gale evil as fuck obviously but he really is a good character with a really well executed character arc, esp in mockingjay. we are learning so early on how eagerly gale greets war. like beetee asking katniss if she’s ever shot a hummingbird and her response basically being “what would be the point in killing a hummingbird if it has such little meat” while gale’s immediate response is to think of a way to do it. both of them being asked how it felt to translate their hunting skills into combat skills and katniss not being able to even answer while gale just says “long overdue” …. he just doesn’t value humanity the way katniss does and we’re told that as the reader long before katniss realizes it
