Hedgehog’s best friend!
Muttski is Sonic’s pet dog and the one thing he loves more than chili dogs. Debuting in the SatAM cartoons and making his way to the comics, Muttski spent the majority of the comic roboticized. After being deroboticized he was just chilling with Sonic and his family until the comic’s reboot. It is said that he is a mobini hound dog, but according to SatAM (the cartoon he came from) it is believed that he is a cross between a St. Bernard and Great Dane.
Muttski is one of my favorite characters in the book and is massively underrated. I wish we would’ve seen more interactions between him and Sonic (especially since Sonic could understand what he was saying thanks to an alien universal translator) and for him to go on missions with the Freedom Fighters. I wasn’t a fan of how they turned him into a mobian in the reboot. It felt like it took away from his uniqueness. But I digress.
