A very intriguing way to start an issue.

It's Death's Head: a Transformers UK original character so good that Marvel would move him to the mainline Marvel universe, via a Doctor Who comic. That doesn't happen often! (It's happened this one time.)

I will continue to note that Geoff Senior draws Unicron a lot.

I feel like the US comic doesn't do splash pages like this as often as it should. This is a good one.

Grimlock finally meets a human he likes and fights for her.

I love Megatron's car throne, even if the cars are strangely small.

Really looks like Megatron murders Brawl here . Brawl actually survives this, somehow.

It's fair to say that Megatron has lost his mind.

Megatron blows up a truck that looks like Optimus Prime.

I praised the UK story Target: 2006 for feeling more violent and mature than the US stories, so I have to give credit here for just how graphically Megatron's final moments are portrayed, with the Predacons tearing him apart. (Plus what happened to Brawl earlier!)

I think this is Budiansky's best issue in a long time and Megatron certainly gets a much more satisfying death than Optimus Prime. I love that Megatron defeats himself in the end and that he's actually right about Prime living on via floppy disc.
